  1. yeah probably not much in terms of savings if you have to get someone to modifiy the 4wd box for you
  2. im gonna stall...... i know it!
  3. hmmm cars sold in jdm at higher spec s15 silvia/200sx blubird pulsar imprezza wrx forrester liberty mitsubishi lancer , galant the list goes on and on
  4. you can get a daughter board or go powerfc on the cheapest end of things 2nd hand powerfc and basic clean up tune would be good sooner or later youll have to do the ecu to go further , sooner is always better
  5. theres a lot of variables in the adaptive ecu logic , lots of cars are all a bit different in they way they react and when they will start to react to rich and retard due to the mods and more airflow it could be sensor related so check the stock ecu for error codes i would still tune the ecu now to the turbo/fuel system limt and see what happens so you know all your afrs and timing is right and if you still have the problem you know its not ecu and something else . its not a bad time for a tune now anyway to take advantage of what youve done so far
  6. last time i got a full mechancal inspection it was about 150$ with comp/leak tests might as well check everything while you are there
  7. what if you still look good in heels ?
  8. im bringing the (basically) stock gtr , no shame in how god made u on another note , what are the helmet requirements ? is a basic open face helmet ok ?
  9. someone posted this in another carbon thread http://www.alldayperformance.com.au/prod853.htm
  10. the do lumpy roms which arnt for r34 but there was a japanese daughterboard they were talking about doing for a while , but i dont know if anything ever came of it . they had done the same board in a couple of s14s from memory so worth giving them a call i never finished my quest for power from my 34 triptronic , i just got the gtr instead . i tuned factory ecu is theoretically as good as anything else on the market , easily taking you to the limits of your chosen turbo with a gcg dual ballbearing r34 hiflow you could see 260rwkw maybe 280 with cams . maybe less cause of the drivetrain loss of the auto your auto might not like it when you get close to 300kw though , budget a couple of grand to strengthen it have you thought about a manual conversion ? then your ecu options open up substantially
  11. a remap is preferable to a interceptor piggyback ecu , some people have hit rich and retard quite early on their 34s , not just airflow cut but theres a manifold pressure (boost) cut also on the 34s the only place i know that can remap is speedworks and when i tried to find out about it about 6 months ago they were useless , knew nothing about the bikirom , wouldnt return emails and phonecalls and i just gave up lucas (badbiki) was very helpfull though so maybe someone else could tune the bikirom for you . dr drift from vic does them and is in wa from time to time
  12. any knews on the fate of the eb though ? lets hope it lives to fight another day flying that proud aussie flag on our roads
  13. late model 32 changes , but none vspec specific if thats what you mean?
  14. looks quite tidy get an inspection from a known skyline focused workshop which would include a compression test (uas and croydon are just 2 in syd , plenty more) if it gets good comp figures and theres no rust or accident damage then might be solid bargain
  15. they just give you a cheque you cant go past autoworx for quality cars always the best possible im suprised its a write off though from the pics , is their much chassie bending? i had a similar accident in a s15 a few years ago but it was smack in the middle of the front so all it bent was the support frame thing infront of the radiator was still 8k damage though so it does add up quickly
  16. i have seen them without it , so theve just removed it ? theres some up the front of the car too
  17. i pay about 700$ for the gtr 28k insured , max ncb protected , 200$ std + $500 twinturbo excess . 29 year old hbf
  18. where/why does it come from ? factory option?
  19. do you mean difference between the base model and vspec model or the diff between a 92 and 94 vspec ? differences to base model are faster atessa pro 4wd computer brembos 17in bbs mesh rims harder suspension sticker on the back many people think the vspecs 32 will be collectable as only 3000 were made . there were quite a lot more 33 vspecs i dont know the difference between vpsec's in different years if there is any , i dont think there is . I have read that the rb26 in the 94s has some changes that appear in the 33 rb26 but their minor and that would apply to all 94s
  20. i am so there i have already filled out my form , can I pay on the night if i havent before hand?
  21. i just had a look under the car up on the hoist at the importer/raw and its 100% factory bracing. They said theve seen quite a few with it but not just vspecs so it must be a factory option
  22. i couldnt disagree more even though their pros offering a service , its a customer based service they are offering if they dont have time to even talk to you , explain why they are doing what they are doing and why they are taking your money then walk away and find someone else if they wont even return your phone calls then dont bother making them (refering to another workshop thread)
  23. i wouldnt be going back apart from getting my money back
  24. yay my pfcs arived ! back on ebay for 2k each! just kidding there needed for future projects
  25. i dont know about early evos but everything from the vi up with the active center differential and active yaw control systems has the setup listed above , 50/50 center diff with active torque proporsioning are we talking actual torque splitting or handling feel when were talking bias ? cause any front engined , front heavy awd car with a 50/50 split will have a handling bias towards the front early wrx are renowned for their fwd like understeer
