  2. I think the costs of a rebuild are now pretty well known , theres certainly been enough members here who have done it recently. Obviously theres no way of knowing exactly what will happen when you get the car , but your golden rule is spot on . you get what you pay for and this is a cheap low end gtr . expect everything that goes along with that. it is registered and complied under raws so atleast thats something , accident damage should be minimal but its probably pretty poor asthetically and mechanically
  3. there is no way i would buy a gtr for 16k . if you do put away 10-20k to fix it , rebuild , body work , whatever else . seriously its going to be a low grade car and if your worried about repair and maintainence costs of your 300zx you havent seen anything yet
  4. wa is more lenient than other states , but that doesnt mean that the car was modified like that when it was registered in nsw though , it probably wasnt. exhaust is ok if not to loud , dont know about the no horn though , youll probably have to do something about that . to reg it you rock up to the pits with your current proof of ownership and registration and they check it out and give you your wa plates and reg if its cool and you pay the fee
  5. the last "cheap" 32 vspec I saw was 29k estimate import price and had 150000km on it i have seen some good ones but there like 33-36k I got a nice very clean 93 32 gtr under 100000 km . just waiting on comp test and inspection

  7. only problem with this is no one will buy your gtst ! unless you want to drop 10k off it it seems.... also in my searching im starting to agree with IMACUL8 like you can get a 95-96 gtr vspec for 28k but you can also pay 36k for the same vehical , there is a reason for that . im starting to think it would be wiser to come in at the top end of the scale and pay 30k top level great condition 32gtr than a average 33

  10. i have a supplier who has a couple of very clean mostly stock 32 gtrs , both 93 both around 90-100km . both around 27-28k . which is a lot but their condition is great and its from a dealer so you pay more for the warranty on the other hand a couple of r33 vspecs privately or import for about the same the r33s all seem to have aroudn the 100km mark also so im not expecting a huge difference in useage and reliability from them
  11. im looking at purchasing either an 95ish r33 gtr vspec or 93ish r32 gtr cant really make up my mind spending about the same on both 30k ish , slightly less for 32 seems to be the 33v offers better value for money at the moment but im thinking the 32 would offer better long term value cause of its "classic" status your thoughs

  14. i used to get to get 450-500km from my r33 . it made about 280rwhp so that was pretty good . i get about 400-450 from the r34
  15. what about the timing retard thats on the factory ecu during gearchanges ? does the motec do it ? i guess you could program it to do something simlar ....
  16. from what i have found looking into my r34 manual conversion is that the r33 and r34 gtst/gtt box is the same box . can anyone confirm or deny that for a fact ?

  19. 1400 is a rip off xForce Stainless Exhaust System - Skyline R33 GTS-T Price: $950 pay no more than 200$ for fitting i picked up a mild steel one for 699$ for my old 33 they are louder and more droney than my current trust setup but they do the job and their cheap .
  20. the front bar is the same 2 door or 4 door . any front bar will fit . piss off the lip and get something cool ! the rear is totally different to 2 door so 2 door rear bars and pods wont fit . 2 door skirts obviously wont fit either

  23. about 250rwkw is a good number for the gearbox and you would be best to install a aftermarket transmission cooler the lack of r33 auto compatible aftermarket engine managment would probably limit your ability to go over that anyway

  25. brand spankers as in brand new never used ? from nissian ? and do they have anymore ? i would just get that box or another one like it . the r33 box is a really nice gb . its an immesurable improvement on your s15 one .
