do you know of this actually happening ? sorry to be a pain but obviously I am very interested if thats the case as squilions of raws cars get through with minor mods of this and that all the time . just read this forum . all i can find in the raws guide is Crash damaged or corroded vehicles where the structural integrity may be affected must be re-exported or destroyed. It is expected that a RAW would take all reasonable steps to avoid importing a crash damaged or corroded vehicle. the only thing mentioned under non conforming parts is disposal i cant be bothered going over the legislation as its 6am.......but i will check it later and see if i can find anything

I dont know which raws are 990$ plus tyres . I would like to find out as I agree there is no way that it can be done properly and completely for that price. I was told by a vehicle examiner and he wasnt impressed either.

your car should not get exported or destroyed for aftermarket parts . It will only be cubed or exported if it has structural accident damage or corrosion affecting the structural integrity of vehicle however technically the RAW is supposed to "dispose" of all non-conforming parts . bottom line , the car has to be returned to stock bar a couple of exceptions (rims) . Suspension is out , totally out . Having just been over this with dotars , any suspension changed would affect braking tests which would mean the car would not meet the same results as the evidence being used for compliance.

not all 32 and 33 non turbos have hicas some don't but it is rare

i cant get to the car for a couple of days as its getting forensics but i have been told she looks pretty well undamaged it was taken from my house . got up in the morning to take it to licensing and she was gone . was recovered during the night so cops called an hour after it was reported stolen. with out a doubt the best quality gtr I have personally seen so I hope she comes back ok have you heard anything about your s15 lachlan ? bring it down asap so we can start it now , were pretty quiet and should be able to squeeze it through quickly! thanks for all the support!

i have 4 cars already on their 5th day now

dotars are taking about 5-8 days to process vehicle inspections at the moment , but that can change from day to day submit a car day 1 , takes 5 days , submit another one next day takes 8 , next day who knows remember it greatly depends on what is in the queue before you at the time you submit them . any problems with the paperwork and it will go back to the bottom to be reprocessed . on average cars get submitted 1.7 times so its pretty common for something to hold it up twice. on top of that you have supplier issues , parts and services are not always available immediately also good workshops are just plain busy and sorry but its usually 1st in 1st serve and you might have to wait your turn! if you were told 2-3 weeks then live with it , better a good job than a quick one

regardless of how quick the DSG shifts its just not the same .......

gmax is china heavy and fragile but cheap a 2nd hand jap set is well within your budget

import your own 33 man turbo for 10k . much more choice in japan

ive been thinking of putting down the pre waiting list deposit at nissan but I am glad I didnt until we get final specs on the gearbox if this thing doesnt have a real manual with clutch it will be severe disappointment

just make sure if you sell a car to yard on consignment they are registered with the Motor vehical industry board for consignment and they have a proper trust fund set up or you could be left high and dry with an unscrupulous dealer

the stock fmic is increadibly restrictive you will run a bit more boost when its removed for a proper one

when it comes to body kits and panel and paint you get what you pay for I could get bodykits in for 600$ for a full kit and I know painters who would paint them for peanuts but I dont want people harassing me 12 months down the line
