Hi Guys, Unfortunately I got my car complied in QLD, as it turned out the guy who’s complying my car is straight by the book (pretty anal). He wouldn’t pass the engineer inspection unless I replaced the seats, mags, steering wheel, GT wing, and silence the exhaust. I didn’t realise they were so strict over there? Anyway, it’s probably not worth putting back the aftermarket steering wheel, but I’ll leave the rest of the stuff on and see if they’ll pass me or not. I’ll definitely take it down to East perth this time, just around the corner from work, because I too had bad experience at Welshpool with my Skyline. Do you guys know if I can get a permit for the 18" mags and a/m seats ?? Lastly, I know this might be a stupid question !! But will 17” (235x45x17 and 255x40x17) ) wheels fit on 18” mags ?? I’ve already got a set 17” wheels, so not really looking forward to buy another set of 18” wheels for the car if I can help it. Thanks, Richard.

Hi Daniel, My car passed through the old import scheme, so it's OK. But the pit inspection is another story, I was told that WA might not be as strict as other states. But not sure .. Heheh .. I like the GT wing Although I have the original spoiler if they wont pass the GT wing. Can't believe that I have to remove the aftermarket steering wheel and replace it with a factory standard steering wheel with air bag .. Bye Richard.

Hi I’ve finally sold my Skyline now that my Supra arrived in the country. I didn’t realized that during compliancing I had to replace the aftermarket seats, 18” mags and steering wheel and GT wing in order for it to pass the engineering inspection. The next problem is to take it over the pit. I was wondering if it’s possible to leave the aftermarket seats and 18” mags on ?? Or do I need to apply for a permit, or are they illegal altogether?? Assuming that I have to replace my seats with factory seats and 17” mags. Are there any Supra owners out there would like to lend me their seats and mags for ½ day just for the pit inspection. I’ll pay you for your trouble.. Thanks Richard.

Err does this means that there's something wrong with the dyno heheheheh ??? A friend of mine brought his S15 down there (SST) and got about 240-250rwkw, and yet at another place he just managed to scaped past 200rwkw. Does dyno have ISO standard ??

If you're into speed and hp have a look at http://www.supercars.net/index-top.html I can't believe the shape of the 1937 Merc W25 and W125 !!! I mean the car is close to 70 years old and yet it still looks pretty modern !!! As for me, I not really into the hp and top speed. No point in talking about something that's unrealistic and beyond my reach. It's like talking about Elle Mc Pherson as a girlfriend, it's beyond our price range and reach .. Although, it doesn't stop us from dreaming

Steve : you can always get a Hyundai and stick on a Z badge . Actually, I better NOT make fun of Hyundai because I think the Tuberon (sp?) is not a bad looking car at all .. The NSX is a reality but the Merc CLK is a "wet dream" Having said that this is my wet dream http://www.bigglook.com/biggauto/wallpaper...ercedes_slr.jpg In term of car bum : NSX = Kyllie Minoque Z32 = Anna Nicole Smith Supra = Rosanne Arnolds hippy : I think it's a typo, it's just a 6-sp manual. Not tiptronic. Nizmo : My gf's idea of a nice car is a Honda Prelude, any thing sportier than that is a goon car ..

Hi OK, haven't actually met anyone here in person yet, but should go on a cruise one day and get to know everyone. Anyway, here I am on top of Bluff Knoll a few years back .. Bye, simplelogik

Darn !!! I wished my girlfriend feel the same as you guys !! She thinks the Supra is UGLY and has a hugh arse :shake:, which I have to agree because the longer I looked at it, the bigger the arse appeared to be .. Well, the GTS-T is on a similar price scale as the N/A Supra. The question is, can you live without a TURBO ?? I can, because I drive like Ms Daisy.

Hehee .. just sell your R33 and get an N/A Supra as well, I don't know much about them either Actually, I got tired of it within a month I thought it looked pretty bland compared to a Supra, GTO and NSX (My opinion only of course!! ). Anyway, when I saw this Supra I knew I had to have it .. Hope to keep the Supra for at least 2 years before looking at an NSX next. Yes, I have to go on one of these cruises one day and see if the Supra can keep up with the GTS-T ..

Hi Yes, it came with my R33 GTST. I've got 17x8 rim at the front and 17x9 at the back. You need to know what size rims you've got. Anyway, on the 17x9 (rear) I've replaced the original 265x40x17 with 255x40x17. Bye Richard. -
Hi All, Now that I've getting myself a Supra, anyone interested in an unloved R33 ??? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=11343 Bye Richard.

Hi Steve, Is that a stock standard N/A Supra with only pod and exhaust ?? Any engine management ? I'll be very happy if mine is anywhere close to that .. Richard.

Hi I'm selling my Skyline, because just got myself a Supra. If you're thinking of importing or getting a Skyline, this car will saves you 3 months of headache and I'm selling it at less than cost price. Currently it's done 62000km and I'm asking $ 22,900. Richard 0403 800 705 [email protected]

Hehe I don't waste money on making my car faster, because even my 1st car, a 79 Mazda 323 is capable of going faster than the legal speed limit .. Anyway, the only "mods" that I spend money on these days is my house, and after spending 10s of thousand of dollars, the bloody thing is still no quicker than when I first bought it ..
-
Definately a poser car !!! But as for being bored I ws actually getting bored with the R33 GTST .. I bought the Supra because of the way it looks and the style, which in my opinion is much nicer than the GTST. Anyway, probably keep this for 2 years and then get an NSX. Now that's a car that no one woul call boring !!! Bye Richard.

I think this is a "chick magnet" rather than a Commodore killer Anyway, here is the specs 1996 Toyota Supra SZ-R 3.0L non-turbo 6 speed manual automatic Volk TE37 alloy wheels aftermarket body kit GT rear wing (original included also) aftermarket exhaust & air filter aftermarket suspension Bride drivers seat Recaro passengr seat steering wheel CD player & subwoofer Does anyone know if you can tell the difference between a TT Supra and an N/A, just by looking at the exterior ?? Bye Richard.
