  1. i picked a Denso high capacity pump that flows around 300 l/h. its a direct fit and its not as much hassle as a bosch pump with the messing around with the intank brackets and that. it cost me around $250 if i recall correctly its good for around 300 rwkw. anyway just thought i would give you another option cheers
  2. was driving on high boost the other day and decided to punch it a little bit. all of a sudden the car sort of jolted a little bit. now the car is stuck on high boost. i had a look at the settings on the avcr and it was registering low as high, so i changed it back down, however i didnt want to mess around with the duty cycle on it. but still its stuck on high boost. anyone had similar issues or got any ideas, cause i am eating petrol!!!! cheers
  3. just about to do the following do my s2 r33 rb25det. besides all basic mods exhaust, fmic, fuel, etc. power fc (will be running with an avc-r) 550cc sard injectors highflow wih r34 rear housing from gcg i was just wondering what sort of quarter times i would be running, using the right suspension and a decent set of slicks. also what rwkw should i expect. i dont particularly plan to do cams and that because i want to get a r32 gtr in a year or so. any opions would be mcuh appreciated. cheers

    R34 Turbo

anyone know where i can get one of these for my r33? and how much you guys reckon i would be up for?? cheers
  5. hey paul interested in a power fc for an rb 25. does this come with the hand controller?
  6. can anyone please tell me why there are purcahsing only one for an rb25 as opposed to the pair. will both not fit or something??
  7. have a look at explosive. they will look awesome.
  8. well the idea was to put screamer on a highflowed r34 turbo. so this would be a no go because its internally gated??
  9. was after some opinions on screamer pipes. currently i have a hks style split turbulence dump on there at the moment, but i am going to higflow the turbo, so i was wondering would it be beneficial to have a screamer or just keeping the one i got?? i am not really that concerned with the legality of it either. just wanted to know if it will pick up a bit more power and whether it would sound good. cheers
  10. thanks a lot. hahahaha
  11. saw it last night. it was alright. typical cheesy sequel though. rb26 mustang was cool!!! and the chicks are stunners and there was some nice cars. but still ridiculously unbeleivable, ie drifting through the traffic!!! bit of a wank i thought. still out of all three of the fast and the furious, they dont come anywhere near gone in 60 seconds!!!
  12. so where abouts would i go to pick one a r34 turbp up from. i have looked around and they seem to be pretty hard to find
  13. so what boost level would this run??
  14. alright thanks for the info. looks like i am going to go for the hi-flow r34. how much boost can these handle?
  15. what difference be between a vg30 rear housing and a r34???
  16. whilst we are talking of hi-flowing whats are ppl's stances on hi-flowing the original injectors??? also where would i pick up an r34 turbo and how much should i be looking at??
  17. whats the difference between r34gtt and r33 gtst turbos? how much difference is there between the two and would it be worth cahsing one up to complete the hi-flow as i am pretty sure this is the path i will be taking
  18. alright for a long time now i have been tossing up with the idea of upgrading the turbo on my rb25det. now the options were: 1 - hi flow (possibly in the gcg group buy) 2 - garret gt30r or gt3071r now it looks more financially viable to opt for the high flow option as this seems that there will be less hidden expenses and that it wil come relatively close to my desired power level. the goal for my car is to run mid to low 12's, whilst i dont want a lag monster rather a quick streeter. ultimatley i have read that these high flows are capable of around 260rwkw with supporting mods. which will be: -power fc -avcr -fmic - turbo back 3inch exhaust - pod - injectors (hi-flow the standard ones or opt for aftermarkets around 550cc?) - fuel pump, fpr - clutch - suspension will be coil-overs for street and standard for the strip - decent tyres (currently potenza's) -also a larger afm (z32 or q45) what injector choice should i go for...high flow standards or get some new after market ones?? would it be worthwhile to include cams and cam gears or one or the other to get to my goal?? what benefit is sought installing these?? is this achievable or not?? and with a good tune and a good run will i get into the mid to low 12's??? thanks
  19. will do mate. keep an eye out for two r33's. white one (stylan) and mine silver (icer33) come and say gday
  20. its easy. just be careful of your coilpacks. expensive to replace
  21. i am running my car up at calder on fri night and was curious as to what tyre pressure i should be running the car makes 200 rwkw and it has fairly rigid coilovers (sustec pro) and is running 17 x 8.5 on bridgestone potenza's opinions would be appreciated cheers
  22. yep 0.8mm is the way to go when boosted i had the same problem at 1.1mm, gapped them down adn now runs fine at 0.8mm
  23. just after opinions on these two ecu's i know both have their own advantages and that the power fc is a more commonly used option. just looking for some insight cheers
  24. thanks guys. the only stuff i dont have is the manifold, plenum and turbo. what is the opinion on hi-flowing the standard injectors. and yes i have used the search button.
  25. i have an series2 r33 rb25det the following is the selection of modification components that i am in the process of purchasing i am just after opinions as to turbo selection in this setup i am not chasing massive top end power, just a well tuned, quick streeter. i consider a quick streeter around mid 12's - sustec pro coil-overs - bridgestone potenza's on 17inch work rims - apexi pod - hybrid fmic - full exhaust - split dump - 3inch front pipe - 3inch high flow cat - HKS 3 inch system - hks ssqv - apexi avcr - sard FPR - Denso performance pump (rated around 300l/ph) - inlet plenum (possibly bigger throttle body) - 550cc injectors (considering high flowing standards???) - apexi power FC - stainless low mount manifold - gt30r ( this is where i need opinions. should i retain the standard t3 flange or go for a bigger option?) also what other turbo's have the capability of performing what im after. also would it be an option to externally gate it with a screamer pipe or best not to???? thanks
