  4. mate the best place for work on turbo's is Dalton's down on wood st. chris is real helpful and he would screw you around. also geelong tuneups which is on wood st to are supposed to be pretty cluey. (i think one of the guys there racers in some porsche league). either way there are both off fyans street. good luck
  5. hey i have an r33 II and i have one headlight that is brighter than the other one. i have noticed that this is actually quite common. does anyone know of any way to combat this problem?? cheers
  6. neons = gay for the wheels try autosol or purplestuff. these two are probably the best metal polishes on the market i use them all the time. oh yeah im a detailer so i have tried heaps of crap and trust me, if you want an awesome finish get purplestuff its expensive but
  7. just wanted to hear some fuel reg opinons cause there are so many on the market its not funny. you see ones on ebay like obx for $90, and then ones like the sard version for $200, then the likes of SX etc. also i have heard that malpassi regs begin to fail to adequately hold pressure due to the middle section be made out of rubber and it suffers from detortion over time, whether this is correct or not i dont know. thanks
  8. have taken it for a flogging now it idles perfect and runs heaps better!! thanks
  9. if seperating am intesrested in front strut , pm me

  13. does anyone know any good places to get 400r side skirts and prices., thanks (sorry if its in the wrong section)
  14. come on....someone must know something about these??
  15. two options then 1. high flow cat 2.fake high flow with a straight through pipe in the middle which would be the best
  16. lots of places selling these now, just wanted to know if anyone has them and their opinions. also does anyone have specs such as the flow rate or tests done on cars? how do these stack up against CATCO and MAGIC. cheers
  17. every exhaust joint has a different story a straight through pipe will do this or that bla bla. now i was intendng on using a high flow cat shell but with a pipe straight through the middle, so it appears to be a cat. now i know that it wont pass epa, etc. but will it have any other side effects???? cheers
  18. installed a hybrid cooler and the intsructions were to trim the blades. trimming the blade causes it to become unbalance unless laser cut and is perfect on every blade. it cause extra stress and i have been told it is a really stupid thing to do by mechanics at various workshops. just install some thermo fans like the davies craig ones.
  19. i have heard of a performance workshop that is remapping the stock skyline ecu. has anyone had this done? costs $300 worth doing it or buying a fully aftermarket unit?
  20. 13psi is only occasional (high) standard is around 9 - 10 psi.
  21. got told the other day that if i run a straight 3 inch pipe where my cat is that it will cause the fuel mixtures to alter whilst on boost. note i also have a dump and front pipe. apart from fail an epa test would this have any detrimental affect to my car when it is running around 13psi on a stock turbo. cheers
  22. yeah i was hoping that he would be able to help me out with this.
  23. i was under the impression that it spooled up relatively quickly. so the impression i am getting is steer clear?? make any difference if it was internally gated??
  24. i heard that these cats dont pass epa tests. some thing about emission levels being too high due to the stainless mesh inside, i was given the impression that the mesh had to be ceramic coated. anyhow i would be interested in seeing the results of a power test and an epa test. not trying to put a downer on the group buy as many people have bought them, just wanted to clear it up cheers
  25. not sure if its the kkr 480 but i read an article on it in the latest HPI on the r32 project car. seemed to make reasonable power. what is the difference with the plain bearing turbo?
