  1. havent really heard much about these but i have been told they are capable of making 250rwkw+ in an r33 with supporting mods. the specs are T3 T04E Garret 57 trim front wheel in .60A/R compressor cover housing. .64A/R rear exhaust housing it requires an external wastegate. just wanted to see if anyone else is using this turbo and what their opinion is. cheers
  2. i doubt that they were racing you mate. i have driven all sorts of cars in my job and i am telling you now they were not trying or just absolute retards. an xrt or clubby would absolutly chew a stock 32. the celica on the otherhand is another story!!!
  3. i have just finished the installation of the oil catch can. is this correct? is this the plumb back method that i have read about on various threads on the forum? cheers icer33
  4. actually yes i do have an atmo bov.could it be this?
  5. been trying to solve this dilemma. at idle the revs seem to fluctuate up and down around 200 - 300 rpm. its really annoying and i know it cant be good. so far i have tried resetting the ecu and cleaner the afm. will i need a tune or is there some thing else i should try? cheers
  6. just as the topic says i need to know how to use the carby cleaner to clean the afm. do i take it completely off or do i do it witht eh car running or what? any help would be much appreiciated as i havent done this previously. cheers!

  8. topic says it all. what is the best way to clean the AFM????
  9. hey i was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. i have installed a fmic and pod, and know there seems to be flucuating up and down around 3 - 400 rpms at idle. i have reset the computer and it still seems to happen. will i need a retune or what. the car is stock (exhaust, fmic, bov, pod) any suggestions would be much appreiciated. cheers
  10. good luck. i would like to see that. post up some picks when your finished. cheers (love to think of that bass)
  11. yeah mate no dipping, its a layering process. zoom did an article on how to do it (dont know the issue). i the work is good may be interested
  12. het massive, series two owners are better off getting it through nismo.com.au cause they are $295. series 1 is like $495 or something. just letting you know dude. why are they so different ?
  13. bigger means more turbo lag ... i think. i have a hybrid gt spec kit on my r33 gtst II and its good. the only advice i would give is to get a kit that is model specifc so you dont have any hassles with fitting the piping. on the no name cores, i have a mate who has just put his in and upped the boost from 10 to 13 psi and can you feel the difference, boost just holds a lot better. all depends on budget mate.
  14. ecro33 your right mate. thats exactly what they do. i have to go with them. got one guy the second time around who knocked about $800 off my quote because i am 21 and turn rating 3 in less than two months and this was including the 12 month suspension of my license for speeding (not drink driving). all up $1800 full comp with an array of mods.
  15. no just cover notes.
  16. nope stopped doing them. pricks. they are some of the biggest extorionists i have ever met.
  17. as the title says i am in need of obtaining a cover note, but i cant find anywhere that does them, and if they do them they dont do imports. any sugesstions would be much appreciated. cheers
  18. worked it out. there is a trick i knew it. take out the plug and it is a quarter turn to get it out. as i said what a prick of a job
  19. talk about a pain in the arse job, this is one of them. i tried taking the headlight out even but thought stuff this half way there has to be an easier way. its a series two r33 and i need to remove the parkers. so whats the trick? is there a trick? can someone give me some advice??
  20. personally i beleive that what makes a good sound system crank is all in the tune. i have a nice fold out pioneer headunit that is the only expensive things in my system. boss 1000 watt 4 channels X 2 boss 1000 12 inch subs X 2 sony 3 inch splits in the front jensen 5 inchs in the back (best speakers i ever heard and only cost me $30 cause they had the cover missing. this system cranks to the point that it makes the dishes on the sink inside move. put the money into horsepower. just my two cents.
  21. i thought that indonesia had a different frequency rate than australia. i know the ones from the states are ok, but havent ever heard of anyone getting one from indo.
  22. anyone got suggestions on whether or not you could cover your rocker covers and spark plug cover?? that would look awesome if you could do it.
  23. got to love the orange carrot call!!
  24. the same thing was happening in my mates car. result was a stuffed thrust bearing and had to remove gearbox.
  25. thats a good point because i was considering covering the spark cover panel in it.
