  1. Oh yeah, I can now officially post here because I finally picked up my car this evening Yay!
  2. The main problem is the V35 is so complicated - much more than an R33.. You clip the wrong wire and the car is finito (ask some of the others here). I'm definitely not game enough
  3. Chris, Would you really recommend the average Joe (or Max) to start cutting wires in their V35s? I'm with NISMO - Speed Cut Defender is what you are after.
  4. Chris is making this into a cryptic crossword puzzle!
  5. Nismo (and all those who are interested), I found out at the last minute that the tyres were completely unroadworthy (thought they'd be ok for a few weeks) so I had to put on a set of brand new Hankook K104s (225/45 front, 245/45 back) to last me until the new wheels arrive. I was originally going to sell the rims without useful tyres, but if you are still interested in paying a fair price with 99% tyres, then the answer is definitely yes.
  6. The 350Z mod definitely looks like a good option to fill those guards up. The Brembos or another brake upgrade go to filling those wheels up too!
  7. Did anyone go on the East-West cruise last night? My girlfriend saw another blue 350GT on North Rd today, so there must be a fair few of us around. Do we need special SAU stickers since we have V35s?
  8. 2 Maxs with blue V35s in the one forum... Lucky we're in different states! I like the look of that lip, but I think my driveway precludes me from that particular investment.
  9. I hope you come up with something soon, Chris - else I might have to give up my quest! The car PC with all the monitoring info would be super. The closest I've found in a mainstream product is the JVC KD-AVX44. Will do everything except Nav & TV, has rear-camera input, and can be gotten off ebay for ~$580. It looks too cool to be hidden away in the glovebox. Everyone will have a 3G iPhone soon so in-car Nav will be redundant anyway.
  10. Something like this would be good... but this seems to be for the models which don't have the stock (goes in the storage area) - I don't know if this is a direct replacement for the OEM Nav Screen?
  11. The scan tool software is free... you just need the tool itself. There are heaps on ebay for not too much. Are you coming up with a carputer solution for us, Chris?
  12. Tristan, I started this thread to find a solution which uses the factory TV. The double din conversions are pretty good, but it's a separate discussion. -Max
  13. Does the V35 use ODB-II? If it does, you could use something like ScanTool... it's pretty ugly IMO but it does all that sort of thing. And it's free Digimoto looks pretty good - US$45 though.
  14. It's not risky because it's stock or not... VicRoads require all imports being registered for the first time to go through the full inspection.
  15. Ha! Come on, you know you want them! Does anyone know if I can use the Tyre Pressure Sensors on my 2003 coupe or is it only an option from 2004 onwards?
  16. Thanks - I like the look of the 19s better, plus if I'm going to spend shedloads on tyres they may as well be 19" instead of 18"
  17. A full Nismo front bar would be the shiznit
  18. I've been checking the various forums incessantly.. can't find any locally unfortunately. Still likely cheaper from the USA due to volumes. Don't any of you go stealing my wheels! I suppose my 2003 6MT doesn't have an interface for the Tyre Pressure Sensors? Any ideas what a set of stock 18" rims is worth locally?
  19. Yeah, I was looking at shipping them over from the USA. I figure if I'm going to be spending $300+ on tyres I may as well have 19s. Thanks all!
  20. I'm looking at picking up some 19" OEM wheels to replace my stock 18"s... I'm guessing they are a straight replacement but I thought I'd check with the experts before I part with my cash. Thanks in advance!
  21. Now I'm peeved - I can't get a "risky" registration appointment until Tuesday ... will have to miss the East-West meet. But still keen to have a V35 one in the very near future. Maybe a nice photoshoot along the beach.
  22. Ahh, makes sense - Rianto told me half the buttons don't work, he obviously didn't realise it was a NAV DVD issue.
  23. Nah, the 350GT is so much prettier!
  24. As per the title, I'm looking for 2x 225/45 R18 & 2x 245/45 R18 tyres... Alternatively, a good 19" wheel + tyre package to suit 350GT. Thanks
