unfortunately its not quite sorted Steve All the parts were meant to come today, they end up bringing stuff from a 4 door! The guard, radiator, a/c stuff is fine, but the bonnet and headlights were the wrong ones so now i'm still looking for those items!

Well from what I was told it appears that insurance companies can't discriminate based on the front bar and supports. Anyway, I just need to find a bonnet, headlights and front bar now and i'll have my car 3 days from then.

Well work has begun on the car, things don't seem that bad, i could have it on the road perfect in 3 days as soon as i get the parts i need. But yeah, it's been an expensive process and I'm on the verge of giving up and selling out as soon as it's fixed... ;(

Looking for a strong aftermarket front bar/grill for an R33 S1 (with indicators) Also looking for a stealth wing. I don't think $395 at JMS is justified for what it is, so if anyone has one for a better price let me know. -Max

BTW, I spoke to a compliance engineer, he said he'd never had to sign off on a front bar because theres no specific ADR covering front bars and the impact of modifications on the safety of the vehicle is debatable, so there goes that idea. Oh yeah, I can get the whole car fixed for under $4500, it will be better than it was when i got it.

The damage will cost less than $4500 to fix, including all parts, labour, paint... Given that I'd be looking for around want $11,500 for the car as is, or $13,500 with every single part required provided. It's a great chance for someone to get a cheap otherwise fine car, better than the condition i bought it in
