Price Drop! [nsw] Silver 1999 S2 Rs4 Stagea
skye replied to skye's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Sorry i havnt got back to you guys sooner, was best man at a wedding over the weekend... either busy preparing or recovering! offered the stag as the wedding car but i was politely declined... DaveB, The stagea has a SFHC badge under the rear window wiper and originally had xenon lights but as Mr_RS4 has suggested, i think the xenons have been removed during compliance. So it could well be a 'Prime edition' or a well optioned stag! As for why I'm selling 'the beast', looking for something a bit LESS practical,.... no wife, no kids, just girlfriend and a small dog to transport around! Mr GTS4, Original post updated with engine bay and interior pics. -

DaveB, Don’t know much about the 'Prime Edition'. Cant seam to find any obvious signs or badges that state that it is so assume not, any idea what i should be looking for? No leather, but cloth trim is in very good condition. Yes, was looking for a good few months before purchasing her, was specifically after a S2 with these specs, hope someone here is too! dansil, Used to own a S1 r33gtst, still turn my head whenever i pass one on the street! Thanks for the offer, but not really wanting to go back to one at this stage. Mr GTS4, Cloth trim is in very good condition. Will post engine bay and interior pic in the next day or so. Thanks for the reply guys! -

Just sold my R33gtst... yes, i am having withdrawal symptoms already! I have a non-skyline runabout car lined up for me as my living/work arrangements don’t really necessitates me having car, especially a high-powered 'line. But nonetheless, i have been on the lookout for a good value gtr, most prob an r32/r33! just drooling at the adds at this stage, but one day..... cue evil laughter.....hahahahah! so to answer ure question, next car is not a skyline but wishin it was.
-
when the r34's came out i was thinkin wtf has nissan done... ruining the clean lines of the r33. But now, i would hand over my (enter non-vital body part) for a r34 gtr! Similar feeling with these 350-gt's.... thinkin not-so-much right now. but after a while, the new look skyine while might just grow on ya! Except the 4door... something just not right about the look of it. Esp those 'round light' covers on one of the images posted earlier in this thread. Well imho anyways!

nice 1 yukz2daizzo, Although i think the cars were nicer than the girls! ok, except for maybe the one at the front...hmmmm

Tottaly agree... i'm sure in most cases car companies will keep making a certain type of car as long as the dolars stacked up. As i was suggesting earlier, i'm not saying that this is a good marketing strategy just that that it has been done at least once b4 before with some degree of success. i.e they have both been sold by honda since the mid 80's with the intergra 'sx' and the prelude 'si. re: the teggy and prelude, imo honda made the right choice to keep the teg... think its got more of a racing history than the prelude. Have no idea how many competitons the integra has one or entered. Although i think there is a prelude type R as well available in japan, the teggy to me still more of a true race car. Having said all of that, i still havnt figured figures out why nissan stopped making the s15... something about meeting low emisions... ???
-
Sound about right. If it were brought in now, competing with those cars or even the Celica / Hyundai??? Guess it all depends of what version of this car they bring out.. if/when it come to oz. In terms of marketing two very different sports cars in the same price range potentially being suicide.... tend to agree with you but then again in recent history Honda tried to state the Integra and prelude were totally different cars with totally different target markets.... i know that they are different cars but someone looking at purchasing an Integra must have considered a prelude at some stage as well as they were in a similar price range…. if ya know what i mean. i know that the prelude is now redundant but they seam to do ok up until then??? Not saying that this is a good idea marketing strategy that Nissan should employ, just that that it has been done at least once b4 before with some degree of success.

Sorry, just quoting the 'nismo' logo's on the seat belts, that’s all. How it's directly related to the 'nismo familiy'... not too sure about that either. And just noticed that it doesnt mention nismo anywhere in the text. maybe i should change my first post to 'nissan family'.... will do :innocent:
-
yeah they do look a but clinical... esp the head support!
-
note the boost guage! sr20det? or a newer vr20det?
-
The Nissan Sport Concept offers the look and feel of a grand touring car, yet is conceived as an affordable, attainable vehicle for buyers entering the new car marketplace for the first time. yeah right?!?! reckon if/when it comes out it will be closer to the 350z price range. Or maybe a really dulled down version to be a pulsar competitor??? Who knows what the marketing ppl at 'nissan australia' will decided this this time. Affordable... yeah well see.
-
I know its not a skyline but still part of the nissan family. Gotta love that wide-ass body! What do u guys reckon? http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/sh...Number=67939911
-
Man that sux! Will definatly keep an eye out for it! Any other distinguishable body features to help us spot it... non standard wheels?
-
thanks for the replies guys, Sounds like it has all to do with.... supply vs demand??? Going by current trends the supply of ‘lines is only going to increase. I know that almost all cars depreciate but this could mean bad news for current sellers like myself and any potential future sellers. On the other hand this could mean a gr8 time to snap up a bargain skyline! going through the adds on the for sale section on SAU + other internet car sale sites... only makes me want to by another more modded skyline! Ummm GF wasnt too impressed with that idea as we need the money for 'our future' What can i/we do to help hold the value of our lines??? I’m guessing the answer is 'not-much'.... except to say that we should enjoy our 'lines whilst we are lucky enough to own them!
-
Guys, What is happening to the market? Where did are all the skyline buyers go? Is the new P plate power restrictions having an imapct on the used skyline market? Or is its just me??? Just on these forums alone, there seams to be r33 gts-t's going for really good prices! even r32 gtr's for mid to low 20's. Heck i'm thinking bout buying a gtr myself at these prices. But then again i have to sell my r33 first.... doh! I am in the process of selling my r33-gtst and am not having very much luck. I dont think my 'line' is the fastest one on the market right now but i know that she's been well looked after. Its been on sale for at least a month now and i have come across a few other similar stories. Having gone though this, i'm tempted just to just keep the car and try selling again if/when the market picks up??? Can anybody shed some light on the current used skyline situation? Anyone else feel the same???
