Hi all, I've been offered a kakimoto full mega n1 exhaust for cheap and was wondering what peoples thoughts were on this exhaust. I read somewhere that it was insanely loud but i think they were referring to the full dual model. is there any truth to this? Or does it sound ok. Thanks

lately my 33 gtr is down on power and splutters everytime i put my foot more than 1/4 throttle. it hunts up and down on idle and even stalls. So i hooked up nissan datascan and it came up with error code 12 everytime i started the car, which is bad AFM connection it says. i re-soldered the AFM'S but still doing the same thing. Anyway im about to buy a set of rb26 AFM's and hope it fixes it. However I just want to confirm the voltage an r33 GTR afm runs as nissan datascan says mine are .95 volts on idle. Also my o2 sensors seem to be buggeed as the reading just keeps goin up and down, but i dont think it would cause such eratic behaviour would it? just stupid fuel consumption.

You can get new splitfire coils for just over $500 a set delivered And try changing your plugs aswell as i think copper plugs are only good for 10,000km. I change mine every 5000km when i service the car as they are only an extra $20 or so.

yeh its true, aparantly there is a limited number of GTR 4 doors that were produced. Still if your interested you need to check it out to make sure its the real deal

Basicaly it comes down to your clutch and tyres. GTR's are extremely clutch sensitive, if u have a tiny bit of slip then youll lose around .2-.3 secs. Also i have a DVD with an r34 GTR's time on the standard tyres it came with and then a decent set of radials and it got high 12's.

correct me if im wrong but wasnt pnblight's first mods a new set of turbs? he didnt mention any trouble and now running 500+hp atw. However its not the best mod in terms of power/dollars but for security reasons its worth upgrading the turbos

Maybe your coils are shot, check them for any cracks. Also if i use any petrol in my rb26dett less then 96+ ron itll miss like crazy. so maybe give a tank full of higher octane fuel a go and see what happens.

You can get an emulator called PCSX2 its the most developed and supported ps2 emulator at the moment and works with a vast mojority of games. However due to the complexity and speeds that the ps2 runs at, youd be lucky to get over 5 fps with the latest hardware.

It has quietend down a bit now. Ive done about 500km on it. How long does it take to bed in?

Last week i had an exedy twin plate fitted to my GTR however its making a grinding/scraping sound when the clutch is presed in, is this normal? i know twins are supposed to make a rattle/ringing noise however it doesnt sound like a rattle at all its more of a scraping sound. The bearings were changed with the clutch aswell so i dunno if it could be them. Also the noise is dependant on the rpm, the faster the revs the faster the scraping. Ive noticed that its louder when the climate control is on too, After i turn it off it quitens down. So is this the noise its supposed to be making or do i have bigger problems?

yeh i told them i wasnt paying it and eventually got them down to 5 hours labour. But still they should know what there doing. I dont know how to change a clutch but i bet i could have done it in less time

just wanted to say i went to a well known workshop the other day to get a new clutch fitted and they charged me $1000 in labour!! I supplied the clutch, it was a straight in and out job.. y on earth it took 11+ hours is beyond me? also i had to fork out for a new gear boot that was fine 2 days before hand as i had it off doing some work.. I wont flame here.. pm me if you want to know

I get all my kicks outa pullin up next to a gt* with GTR badges on it and saying "nice badges" must make them feel like a million bucks!!! cheapskates.

Yeh another skyline with GTR badges on it.. yay!!.. i must have got ripped coz i paid twice as much as to get these badges
