  1. yeah ive heard r32, s13 are interchangable however am unsure on the R33, thanks for your input. Ive seen a very nice rb25 4door r32 in i think hpi 8 or 9 which took out the comp it was competeing in, very impressive.
  2. It going to be awesome event i bet
  3. Gday guy n girls I currently drift my R33 which has a basic drift setup with all the basic suspension and driveline mods. Its fairly stable car and has good mid range torque equally too my previous Typex180, however i plane on selling skyline and getting its older brother. Once the car is sold i plane on getting a run about car and begin setting up an R32 for light track work and plenty of drift. I plane to do an Rb25 converstion to the R32 soon after purchase, does the rb25 weigh much more than the rb20? Im wondering if i do converstion if the R32 is still be a well balanced coupe? It would include R33 gearbox with motor. Maybe with a good suspension setup it could become more stable if neccessary. Also Is it at all possibe too fit my Tomei 2way centre in an R32 when its meant and is currently in my R33? Can you get different half shafts or modify something to suit the R32? Anyone with some constructive advice or helpful pointers would be great
  4. I woudl do some research and consider changing your compression with an aftermarket headgasket. If you were purchasing cams, a rocker arm stopper kit would be a good idea also.
  5. you cant produce flames from the exhaust with a cat converter it has to be removed. if you think its a vacum leak at idle get a can of carby clean and spray it in suspect areas and if it is it should pick up in idle?
  6. You dont need to do that at all. Take off the radiator cap, Undo the drain at the bottom of the radiator and Take off two hoses near the head and get a hose blow water through so it goes through all different parts of the cooling system. It would be a good idea if you are unaware of the condition of the radiator take it somewhere and get flush out prob cost you like $70.
  7. hey guys, I ventured up to willowbank last nite for the time, and ran [email protected] with a 60ft of 2.376 My mods include: ebc at 1 bar FMIC 3in cat back system with a resenator and a muffler no cannon pod filter 255 rear tyres i also had my rear struts on their stiffest settings because i forgot to change them to soft will this make much difference, i had issues with launching and got massive wheel spin, with 255s in first!!! hence a really poor 60ft time. Is my time average or is there something i can do to improve my time. Also my mate said he did 14.1 in his 32 on 12 psi with 3inch exhaust, pod filter and no fmic, he was running 205s!! mind u i havent seen the timeslip, any thoughts??? Thanku in advance for your input Trev
  8. Yeah you will have to cut the appropriate wholes to allow the gtr bar to fit. It seems kinda wrong but every skyline around with a bodykit did it at one stage. To fit a front bar properly it most likely will take some time and an eye for detail. I did mine and it took a couple hours, just adjusting the front support bar, angle grinding sections of it off, wiring up indicators, drilling mounting wholes and making sure its perfect to the eye
  9. it wont be on your engine as such, it will be on your strut tower and compliance plate. It is the vehicle identification number so various engines can go in the car with that vin and it always remains the same
  10. Maybe try JR Concept in station st boxhill
  11. Silver intercooler is better in direct light, however wont absorb the cold aswell in darkness. Vice versa Dark intercooler will absorb more heat in direct sunlight, however in complete darkness a better choice. thats just my opinion!
  12. Thats your choice not mine, i believe there are much more desirable looks on these nissan than an exhaust thats sits lower than everything else on the car. I hated my old HKS cat back as far as im concerned to police it screamed EPA ME! Im not up for that low sitting sparking exhaust, its just not worth the hassel when it doesnt have to a hassel!
  13. I got a mild steel custom exhaust made up, no dump pipe still the standard item, so the front pipe 3inch highflow cat and cat back $1200 i was pretty happy sits muchh higher than jap bolt on's i see and sits much higher than the Hks cat back sytem that came on it.
  14. Just wondering if anyone has expierenced problems with there fuel gauge? I did a search and have been unable to find the info i wanted so here we go. I have an r33gtst and my friend also has an r33 but gts and neither of our fuel gauges work till only roughly a quarter full. They problem has been there since i owned the car (18months) and his owned his (26months). The guage registers full untill it gets through about 250km into the tank then drops suddenly to roughly a quarter. It is if the fuel sender is gets stuck untill the tank is near empty. The problem doesnt appear to be on the dash however i suppose that is always a possibiltiy? Basically im wondering if an body else has had this problem. If so have you found a solution? Any info input would be great!

    What Colour?

I had my car resprayed about close to a year ago. Mine is S1 burgandy with the pearl running through, when it went in for the respray i ask them to lighten the color and make it more redy by adding more red. End result looks great, i wish i had pics i could post! You can only really notice the difference up against another factory burgandy skyline. But it just has more life than the dull burgandy. Recently i did some damage to my rear quarter going to go into the pannel shop in a couple of weeks, a different one to were it was sprayed. They said they should have no trouble blending the color, so it hasnt been a problem as yet. Il post something up when i have my car back and tell you the results!
  16. pics cant be viewed at the link?? what state?

  18. does any one know if the R33gtst are long or short nosed r200 diff
  19. Pirtek on Cantebury Rd Bayswater will have hose
  20. thankyou sydney kid most the stuff i was ok with, how ever not ok with the drive shafts or the open wheeler. I thought they ran 4.44 diff in the none turbo r32gts? anywaus i think youve answer it all
  21. The Intake is already be cooled from the fmic before it reaches the motor, is it really worth going and building cold air box, suppose it wont harm the turbo?? Sorry if im off topic a bit
  22. As the title said, im considering going down the path of an R32. I currently have an R33Gtst and need to sell it due to finacial commitments, after selling it i figure i should have enough money left over to buy an R32. I have Been giving alot of thought to a possible conversion down the track to an Rb25det and gearbox into an R32. My question is what set backs would i have as in buying a non turbo over the turbo R32 when doing this sort of conversion to an Rb25det an gearbox? I understand the brake setup on the Na R32 would probably be four stud hubs and smaller calipers than the turbo R32. When doing the conversion i would be upgrading to an aftermarket ecu (prob pfc) at the same time. So basically hoping to get some feed back with not to many setbacks, because purchasing a non turbo R32 would save cash than the R32 turbo!
