    Tie Rod Ends?

Thanks Adzmax i think i might just have to go ahead with a choice if i cant end up finding the info, prob R32. Like i said above both the r32 an r33 steering racks appear fairly similar, im guessing the thread sizes for the ends is the same and with that thought cant see how they would differ. However i hope someone has put these goodies on there car an see this thread, an post up what they know. Just out of interest what s15 bits work on r34?
  6. Yeah i had to cut a fair bit away to fit gtr bar on my gtst.if anyone wants a veilside rear wing pm me.
  7. thanks abcent i already got a 2way mechanical, tomei its very nice. I got some uras pineapples in there as well, heavy duty clutch, got momo steering wheel, an 3 sets of stock rims. Yeah tein been proven so thats a pretty good option just heard no one will rebuild in melb. heard of very few cars running koni or blistein, they would be a better option for me due to a few people i know may be able to get cost right down and rebuilderble. Yeah would definately be up for a floor brace had trouble locating one second hand, roll cage would be nice but dont really want a bolt in cage would like a fully engineered one $$$$ pretty exspensive. But know one can answer weather r32 an r33 tie rod ends a compatible??? tim
  8. Setting up my R33gts-t for drifting, basically wondering if anyone people could give me some input, maybe you have set yours up for drift suspension wise, an can talk about your setup. Wat you think should be done next? Going to get myself a hicas lock bar. Been looking into tie rod ends to get more lock out of steering, however havent located R33 ones yet does anyone know if R32 ones are suitable for R33. What suspension would you go for Konis/ Blistein/ Tein or maybe something else, i want to be able to rebuild them if necessary, (heard a place in queensland will rebuild tein :Bang:) looking into blistein an koni cos i got some mates who got some pretty good contacts with thoughs companies. Current setup -Rear adjustabble whiteline swaybar (22mm on hardest setting) -Rear cusco strut brace -Front whiteline swaybar (24mm) -Front GTR stru brace -Cusco castor rods (positive 6 degrees castor) -Car came with lowered springs (suspension should be next) Cheers Tim

Hey was Wondering if anyone had aftermarket tie rod ends on there R33 to get more lock out of your steering. There advertised for s13/ s14/ r32 heaps of places do you know if the r32 ones would suit the same size thread as the the r33, bot the steering racks look fairly similar in appearance?? Thanks guys

Hmmm weekends hey, the last time i went out was 3 weeks ago. An that is not by choice! Several weeks ago i headed down to anglesea for this bush party, it was an all night day thing. So by the end of it i was extremely intoxicated, and rearly wasnt human. I dont remember but was told later, apparently when leaving this party there was a extra person in the car making it 1 to many. Naturally me being the smallest and clearly wasted i was convinced to get into the boot. From there we went back to a person house 20min away, on the way i feel asleep/ passed out or whatever in the boot. once arrived a this place people proceeded to get out of the car and go inside. the boot was poped and i was woken, to also proceed inside. however at this point ive managed get out of the boot an pass out or fall back to sleep only a metre or two away from the car. 10 or so min later this chick and my friend got back into the car decided they would go do some donuts. the chick was driving becan to reverse out in a two point turn, without realizing reverse over me with the back wheels then drove forward wheels going over me again and continued to drive out the driveway unaware of any of that happening. luckily these other two chicks and a mate were on the balcony an notice me just before i got run over, saw the whole thing an were able to call abulance. I snapped my colar bone, gain a hairline head fracture, spranned ankle and suffered abrasion that the trauma doctors refered to as tyre marks over my face, also abrasion on arms, back, and legs. I got rolled out by the car when it drove forward and rolled down a gravel bank. None the less i am ****ing lucky, to be alive, lucky not to be brain dead. I dont remember much due to being unconscious after,i only know what ive been told and flash points of things that happened that are in my head. I spent 5 days in hospital and have had the last 2 weeks off work. So thats my last weekend out, but should be right to get back in the swing of things soon.
  13. I would be right up for it, sounds pretty good. Never been on a track doing any racelining, the relax enviroment sounds like a good opertunity to get out there a introduce my self to circuit. however it not really set up for raceling, but im keen an would be good to meet some of you guys

  15. banzai battle should be awesome, such a pitty its on the same day
  16. i got stock suspension with lowered spring???
  17. i bought a tomei 2way works a treat, i purchased this cause i heard it would be more user friendly than such brands as kaaz an an cusco and has a great write up on there web site
  18. yeah maybe its the subframe bushes thats causing vibration, hmmm or maybe its just stiff suspension? is it all the time or is it only under acceleration? maybe your subframe bushes are worn and its causing your diff cradle to vibrate, get some subframe buses however this will stiffing up your rear also but could get rid off this vibration a cheaper option than springs maybe to try first
  19. yeah dont get the oil filled ones! if you are going to someone like pedders to get these bushes they have two option, a pressed in replcement or a pressed in eccentric replace ment. definately get the eccentric ones. - if you have a an accident an damage your steering rack this allows adjustment in your castor settings which will assist fixing this problem if your castor is all over the place - secondly if yuo get into track work or are into track work or drift you may like to adjust your castor this is a good foundation before buying adjustable castor rods (tension rods)
  20. sorry dude i thought you meant inbetween the piston and pads, you mean the locators to help allign the pad. good luck id call around some reckers
  21. yeah they are called shims, not very neccessary, however im sure you could pick some up from a recker
  22. i think its time you invested into 2way or 1.5way lsd, its diffinately worth while!
  23. have you taken your steering wheel off? sometimes if they have been taken off and not put back on straight this problem occurs, its been covered heaps in previous post in this section of the forum
  24. personally i dont think it would effect its effectivness much or if anything my only concerns would be to make sure the nuts over washers are done up really tight, and making sure you eliminate the vibration form the throttle body and strut brace
