Hey everyone, before i go accusing this certain skylinesaustralia forum member... I purchased a wolf 3d version 4 which was advertised on here. i was told it was for a r33 gtst and i was told he used it in his r33 gtst but when i got it home i found a little sticker that says "r33 GT-R" i then called him and he said they modify it to work on gts-t but i looked on wolf website and there are separate units for both gtst and gtr so i'm a bit worried that i have been ripped off! Does anyone know if they can be programmed to work on gtst? My mate NS148U had the same computer in his s14 but the computer is for an s15 but i guess its the same motor so i dunno. Any help would be greatly appreciated! james

thanks zebra, the manifold gasket was replaced when the new turbo was put on. the car isnt louder from the exhaust but when its supposed to spool, it just goes sssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and does nothing.

hey guys, i tried a search but nothing specific came up. When my car starts to come onto boost it makes a hell loud airy noise and sounds really bad, not from the motor or anything, just the turbo, it used to have a really nice spooling noise but now it just sounds dodgy and is only boosting to about half of what it usually does. Wats happened is my standard turbo failed and i needed one asap so i brought a kkr480 because it basically fell into my lap, so i got that put on with some custom braided lines etc.. So the turbo has probably done about 5000kms and about 3000kms of that was from my step dad who drives like a granny. The turbo has been good until yesterday when it started doing this... i thought it might be a turbo gasket as it felt a bit like when my 180sx done a gasket but the turbo is basically new and it has a metal gasket so i cant see it being that. Then i thought it might be loosing pressure somewhere in the induction side of things but i cant find a leak... no hoses have blown off... now i know most of you guys think these turbo's are crap and your probably right but i was hoping some of you may have experienced something like this so i can fix it until i get a new turbo again... any help would be great, cheers

Hey guys as per subject im chasing lifters for a series1 rb25det, they are over $3k new from nissan and i have seen ppl get rid of them on here from like$100 - $200. if anyone has some i'll pay top dollar and shipping if nessesary. As er my previous topic, i have to replace my lifters, quoted $3400 just for the parts from nissan. with the help of some of the guys on here, i have found Tomei solid lifters appox $500 but then i have to get Tomei solid cams approx $650 and solid valve springs approx $ 650. this still works out cheaper than buying new hydrolic lifters. what are the differences between both set ups? and is it worth converting?

Yeah i know what u mean mate but my mechanic is a family friend. but i have been stung before by dodgey mechanics. I called nissan to confirm that and they quoted me $5.36 extra per lifter compared to the price my mechanic got for me.

Hey guys, i have to replace my lifters, I just had a quote for genuine nissan lifters for $3400 and thats not including the labour!!!! I cant get my head around this, it seems very extreme and is worth more than a stock rb25det. Apparently there is no aftermarket lifters for this motor so genuine is the only way to go. The thing is ive had 2 mechanics look at it and they say its only 1 lifter making the noise but they cant figure out which one it is!! Has anyone had this experience before?

There are numerous r33 Gts-t's Doing 10's without stroker kits or nos.... I mean how much further do you want to go for a street car? Having gone from a R33 gtst 4 door manual to a R33 gtr then back to my current R33 gtst i have no regrets... you dont need a gtr to get great power and great times. but i do agree on the R34 front, beautiful car to drive, just feels like a better car. -
As all you guys would know, the power FC has been discontinued for the R33 gtst amongst others. I really need a computer now after putting a bigger turbo, injectors, fuel pump etc... I saw on ebay someone selling power FC djetro's but dont know if these were made for the gtst because i can only find them for the GTR. I was really interested in the djetro because you can run it without the afm so it saves money buying a z32 afm. But i'm open to other options such as wolf, haltek etc but i'd like to know what people on here have and wat the pro's and cons are because i want to do it right the first time cos as you guys would know its an expensive process to buy a computer and have it tuned so i want to make the right choice. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Thanks mate, well the car is plated as an r33 gtst, has everytihn a turbo model has, it was brought from cred tuning a couple of years ago. the guys just reckon its already had a rebuild which i guess is good for me as there was no piston slap and the motor was clean like new

Hey guys, i have just had my head off for a port polish job and bew manifold etc. and the mechanics (who work on performance cars all the time) said that my car doesnt have the original internals and that they are high compression pistons etc. but i am sceptical so wat are the standard pistons.. flat top or domed etc, how do u tell the difference? its an r33 gtst btw cheers
