  2. i found a hammer screw driver and wd-40 works fine for adjusting
  3. strange, i thought all 32 had the aerial imbedded in the windscreen as a small line of metal about a mill or 2 thick running around the passenger side. thats what my one has
  4. you sure he is a cop? prolly some old guy that wishes he was

    whos mum???

just arrived at work on day to see a nice silvia k parked in the car park so i pull up next to it to get a better look. as im reversing into the park see some old guy walk past my car and give me a kinda funny look. so i park and get out just in time to see this guy (about 70+ with a walking stick) getting into the car. gave him a big thumbs up and a huge grin
  6. an idea for poping the bonet, the mesh you had as the grill seems to be half gone so just get in there with a screw driver and try and pop the latch thing manually. its probably how they got you your alarm in the first place (if you have one that is). very lucky to get your car back in such an unharmed condition, congrats
  7. its a 180 right, might be one of those lazy eyes switches. try turning the headlights off and as the lights retract switch it. if the lights stay half way down you know what it does.
  8. nice car bud, id wipe the plates out on the pics tho if i were you. not only friends that read this forum
  9. looking at your title hope you dont expect to get a 33 for 12K, might get a mildly modded 32 but thats about it
  10. the gas bottle they need is from the pajero for r32 i tihnk its the 1990 one, they will also need to modify the switch. guy i took it to (in melb) it was 160 the lot regassed. now it gets nice and cold
  11. if your going to fast or you have just put the clutch in and the box is still spinning it wont let you go into first and if you force it it will crunch. just wait a few second before trying to put it into first and it should be all right.
  12. strut braces are fully legal in vic and probably also in SA. they improve the handeling of a car so i cannot see why there would be a problem. no ideadon the exhaust tho
  13. nevermind got one sorted today
  14. im after the passender door locking mechanisim. its the part with the central locking pump attached to it that you can remove from the door by removing the 3 screws from the side of the door and the 1 screw from the inside of the trim and undoing the guide rods that go the the key lock and handels. prety much the part that holds the door closed. preferably in melbourne so i can pick it up either today or tomorow
  15. took the whole mechanisim out today and it all seem to be in order with no obvious faults. its a sealed unit so i cannot really open it up with any hope of puting it back together in working order. think my best option is try and source a repalcement from somewhere
  16. ok this is the problem the passenger door wont lock. i use the central locking the latch moves on the inside of the door so it looks like it has locked but you can still open the door. tried locking the inside by hand and closing door but you can till open it from outside as if it wasnt locked. also tried closing the door and locking it from the outside with the key, it feel like it has turned far enough to lock the doot but it wont lock. removed the trim from the door and played with the lock mecahanism, everything seems to be moving like it should but it just wont lock any ideas what is casuing this and how i should go about fixing it? thinking of taking the mechanisim out of the door to check in out and try and clean it but they way the rods are connected to it will make this a problem. btw this is on a 32 gts-t any advice would be much appreciated
  17. you set it to light up at a certain rpm so you know when to change gears. usually youll look at your dyno readout for peak power in the rpm range and set it to whenever that occurs
  18. ok i just got a c's copy shifter tha im trying to install into my 32 gts-t. all goign well part from that fact i cannot figure out where the metal ring that is about a cm thick that came witthe kit is supposed to go. looking at pranks guide on installing it into his 33 gtr he placed it below the plastic thing with with guides for the fork http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...t=short+shifter but when i do this the gear stick that comes with the kit dosent seem to reach deep enough into the gearbox. can someone please tell em what im doing wrong thans
  19. when they fixed mine, (mine was bent up like yours) they just atached a clamp to the bent pasts a clamp to a ring on thr grond and just pulled it back into shape, too easy and only cost 800 for that and rewelding the joins on both sides fo the car
  20. well mine sounds fine so im happy
  21. i got a doubble 10" box and cut the holes to fit 12's. box is a triangled shaped one and i have the subs pointing diagonally into the car with the amp mounted on the back of the box. way it is set lose the cavity behind the back seat but have all the space from under the rear window washer box forward. box had to be that shape as a square one wouldnt fit cos of the hicas box being in the way oh yeah mines a 32 gts-t
  22. you do realise that what 3rd party insurance is for is to pay for the damage you do to other cars (in your example the damage his car did to yours). but not the damage you do to your own car.
  23. my car had the same damage done to it when it arrived. it wont pass roadworthy if the welds have been broken and seperated. got a few quotes to fix mine ranging from 1200 to 800. shop around cos some people try and rip you off over that kinda damage.
