  1. grow a set of nuts and buy the car you want? unless the $20k is a combined type purchase... well then you're screwed
  2. Did the same to mine.. Metallic dark silver... people dont even notice its painted as it blends in so well
  3. Motul 8100 and standard Nissan Filters ($8).. why pay more for aftermarket? ive heard nothing but bad things about rycos
  4. no, i already have another car
  5. Had it around 14 months.. and yes first owner in AUS
  6. Make: 1997 Nissan Skyline Model: R33 SERIES 2 Milage: 89,000 Colour: Silver Location: Rosanna RWC supplied? Can be arranged Currently registered? Yes until september 2008 Price: $14k Contact: David 0432380050 Comments / Modifications: 18inch RTG rims with brand new tyres 265x35x18 / 235x40x18, R34 SMIC, GTR wing, Blitz Auto Turbo Timer, Blitz BOV, HKS Superdragger Catback, Tein Coilovers Car is in perfect condition.. Only issue with the car is the gearbox.. Its fine but to be silent requires bearings and a few synchros (can fix but will add to the cost) Also have the original rims with basically brand new tyres.. And included is the stereo.. JVC MP3/WMA unit with USB input, speakers, amp, sub etc.. Apexi Pod filter with brace etc included as well Has been serviced every 5000ks with Motul 8100 and timing belt / tensioner replaced at 76,000ks
  7. No wonder you get pulled over alot.. its not exactly discreet styling... Oh and the wing is a bit should have stuck with the GTR wing.. every man and his dog may have one.. but there is a reason for that.... They actaully look nice
  8. Dealer warranty is about as useful as a condom full of holes.. R33's just arent worth anything anymore... And i would never ever buy a car based on K's... Have to go by condition which is impossible without seeing it and/or driving it
  9. Is that diff the Active LSD? Finned cover? are you in Melb?
  10. 13k ABSOLUTE TOPS... its a buyers market...
  11. I wouldnt say twice as thick... but it certainly is thicker... I changed my 33SMIC for a 34 one recently.. Cars just seems to rev a little easier.. especially towards redline
  12. Will give you $220 pickup... hey its a start
  13. yes but FMIC = at least $350 plus fitting if you arent mechanically minded.. ($200 at least for install) R34 SMIC = $150 and soo easy to fit yourself.. I dont intend on changing my turbo so the r34 was the best choice
  14. My blitz on auto only counts for 10 seconds... you dont need any longer... GO out and drive and bring on the boost... look to see if the timer has gone up... if it doesnt something isnt working.. generally you only need longer than 10 secs if you have thrashed it all the way home.. which would be stupid turbo timer or not
  15. Check the number on the side of the RACV van.. anything that starts with a 6 is bad.. they are contractors and get payed per job rather than per hour.. and are generally hopeless Yes there are some real knobs.. However my mums partner is a mechanic and is an RACV man.. he has helped me with my car whenever ive needed help.. He knows his shit.. if you get a tall balding guy named colin.. be nice or he will tow you
  16. Just so you know... Going from stock to your current rims Speedometer Difference: 3.540% too slow.. You can no longer rotate your wheels.. and just watch your rear tyres.. The inside of the rear guard folds in.. so you need to make sure its not srubbing I have 18x8 on the front and 18x9 on the rear.. so i know all about neagative camber and its tyre chewing ability. now thats out of the way.. nice rims
  17. yer i put around 3.5-3.8 litres in mine..
  18. If it makes your decision any easier the Z1's are a very soft compound tyre.. and will wear quickly.. thats why they grip so well
  19. this is my results from recently replacing my tyres.. Maxxis (used to be a budget tyre.. great bang for buck.. now more $$$$) for a 265/35/18 they are now $300+ each 235 werent much cheaper Federals.. Everywhere i rang cringed when i said i wanted the 595's Hankook k104's 235/40/18 $225 each apparently quite good.. 265/35/18 $270 each Nankang NS2.. Hard wearing supposedly ok grip in the dry.. hopeless in the wet.. Falken FK452 Apparently good tyres... middle of the range.. ok price (not under $200 though) Nexen N3000 Better than the nankangs in dry and the wet.. almost as good as the hankooks.. Silica compound.. good price 235/40/18 $160 each 265/35/18 $220 each I ended up getting the Nexens on the front.. Seem to be fine so far.. Much quieter than my Fulda Extremos (came with the rims) and seem to grip just as well.. Will report back next friday after i get the rears fitted Just dont expect $500 grip on cheapo tyres and youll be fine
  20. Brand spanker is around $3K plus fitting... 2nd hand around $1500... Fix your own $1500-2000 (bearings synchros) including clutch
  21. new gearbox $2800 +fitting bearings and all 5 synchros including labour $1500-1800 not a whole lot cheaper
  22. mine went down $30... seeing as i turned 25 this year i would have expected more.. so i jumped ship to GIO custom insurance.. they did the same price but covered for $1k more plus lower excess, choice of repairer etc...
  23. You can have a R33 Series 2 type LM aswell its the series 2 R33 with the gtr vspec Active LSD
  24. Its because your price is about $3k above market value for a R33 S2 skyline.. Hey it sucks.. but thats the market
