Well according to some.. Every cop in Melbourne should be chasing me down to hassle/hand me a defect notice..
Shock horror.. but i do actually drive my car at other times too.. with the same result
I think i WIN!!
I saw one on Lower Templestowe Road 2 days ago...
I was like WTF! thats the new civic...
didnt realise at the time they have only just got here
Yes yes the cops are all out to get us.. *puts on tin foil hat*
Seriously.. dont drive like a knob and youll be fine..
Ive had my skyline for almost a year now.. drive every morning at 2am to work.. and guess what
Not once have i been pulled over.. Not ONCE! nadda zip
P.S. the only "illegal" mod to my car is the Exhaust... but it isnt overly loud so ive never had a cop look twice
There are also smart ways to mod your car that ARE perfectly legal.. They are just generally more expensive
Thats the thing, I dont design what my car looks like based on what everyone else thinks..
I do it for myself..
I could not give a toss what anyone else thinks..
Common? Mate you do realise you drive a skyline?.. they arent exactly rare anymore
Only thing i wouldnt ever do is put GTR badges on my GTST... thats just friggen crazy
For all those people complaining about shit fuel economy.. this is how to work it out...
1) DO NOT trust your fuel gauge
If i followed my fuel gauge id be in here crying about my economy too...
ok.. here we go
Fill you tank completely
drive drive drive... after 200Ks refill all the way to the top
now divide the amount of litres you put in (lets say 29.56L) by your ks (200kms) = 14.78L per 100kms
According to my fuel gauge my car is empty after 300ks.. however i am currently using 14.4L/100kms
which means id be able to travel at least 450ks before my tank is bone dry
The active LSD uses a computer and hydraulic pressure to lock the diff i believe... there isnt much info on the ALSD... which sucks as i have one in my gtst
Safc 2 has more adjustment plus a knock sensor.. dont think its available anymore..
Safc Neo is the new one with even more adjustability but no knock sensor..
An atmo bov will hardly make any difference at all... ive done the maths and on my R33 Series 2 it makes around .5L per 100ks diffference
Skylines drink fuel.. no 2 ways around it...
your best bet will be to do the cheaper stuff first..
O2 Sensor.. etc..
If your driving is mainly short trips you will use more fuel too.. as while the engine is cold it uses more fuel..
SAFC will make a difference.. plus make the car more fun to drive.. (more power less fuel)
