  1. Bloody hell, someone's holding an event in my dreary little town.........SWEET!!!!!!!!! I'll be out lappin that weekend for sure! Any more details???
  2. Good luck at the Jambo Col.I'm going in my GTS-X.Not sure if I'll be racing or not yet though.
  3. ooooh, sounds nice! Big HP here you come! lol I don't know how long a piece of string is...what sort of string is it? :jk: Friday night in Port sounds cool! Not that there's many good cars here that go out,but anyway..... I always plan on doing some cruising, but no bastard ever want to go with me!!! I'll be in Terrigal next sunday in the Skyline,on a cruise actually! And just to be a pain in the arse again, that Mobil 75-90 synthetic lsd oil,was that like $74 for 5L(or maybe it was 4L) I went and loked at some today, but it didnt mention anything about being suited to lsd's.Didnt say unsuitable either, but Id like to be sure first. tar
  4. Bing-bong....your attention please Ghostrider
  5. Where did you take it? Wauchope?
  6. hehehe, nice one guys. Here's my effort. PS- this is the older HR31 model vid player!
  7. Yeah the 8860 sound as good as a Motec on paper, and you couldn't complain at $1600.....
  8. I had an EMS QI-4 fuel and ignition ecu running mine.Used the stock FJ dizzy. The EMS was good, could work with several factory pick-up systems. I'd like to go multi-coil in the future though...
  9. 1.Sounds good. 2.Good to know,as I'm sure the R32> R200's with the viscous lsd wouldn't need the same spec oil as the early mech R200's.I've ben wanting to confirm a good mech lsd oil with someone who actually has one,not a sales person who thinks an HR31 coupe is a fancy Pintara. 3.Any estimates on when it will be? You'll have to stop over in Port Macquarie on your way...you know,stop,revive,survive.....and so I can check out the '30!
  10. Since I know a bit on HR31's,I'll chuck 2c in. The lip that lowers itself (Autospoiler) was standard on GTS-X's,and option on GTS. The GTS-R lower lip is a similar shape, but extends right round the 'corner' to the end of the bar.The GMS HR31 race cars had a one piece bar, that looks like a lowered Autospoiler(but its fixed, being 1 piece) There were also a couple of aftermarket "lips" as well, and no doubt Nismo/Autech,etc options as well. GHOSTRIDER:- what oil did you say you used in your diff? Some kind of full synthetic I think? How does it preform? I assume you still use a stock mech centre? And is your HR30 on the road at the moment? tar
  11. I might be able to offer 2c. I'm *99%* sure it's sealed from the engine internals,so there's no danger of it getting into the engine, but if by chance it flicks up into the cam belt when the motors running,it could get between the belt and the pulley, and make the belt jump teeth or something,so I'd say to pull the lower part of the cam belt cover off,and make sure it's the washer does no harm.Think you'll need to remove the water pump, and the crank pulley to do this... Unless, you can loosen all the lower cover bolts, and carefully get a screwdriver or something between it and lever it off the block a bit, enough for the washer to drop out...assuming it's going to be in the right spot to do that.....hope that makes sence.
  12. I got my old car (had an EMS ecu) tuned at a place that hadn't had much to do with EMS systems before, but the guy was a decent tuner. The end result was a 'decent' level of tune, but a bit costly, due to him not being familiar on how to navagate through the EMS system with the handpiece,so more time on dyno,so more $$$.....
  13. You can buy stuff in a tube called 'headlight restore' I think, from places like Just Jap,for R33,soarer,etc lights. From the sample pic they show,it seems to work well. r33bdg1rlnsw,you ever take the Skyline down to Port macquarie?
  14. Yes,it was 56K unfriendly,but I'm not gong to complain!
  15. Ghostrider,I realise you were just saying.....I was just making a comment also, not whinging at you By the way,is your HR30 going at the moment or what?
  16. RE: Flares You'd have to have some pretty wicked offset wheels to make use of them I think.I have 9inch rears,on an HR31,and I know they're different, but they it good. Also a mate's old DR30 had 9" rears, and fitted snug also. They were Sparco Python2's though,so not that deep a dish..... Also,I think the local boys are getting them done from fibreglass?
  17. Thinking about the Best Motoring vids,I notice on the very start of the Amuse Supra vid, there's a guy stnading in front of a black HR31 Skyline, saying he's very happy to be there,or something like that. Does anyone know where the vid of that HR31 can be found??
  18. Sweet.I wish someone round my area would buy an HR31 like that
  19. Looks nice.Good buy,as long as the intieria's in good nick.
  20. Sounds like a bloody nice coupe.Go the HR31's! Yeah, chuck some pics up!
  21. You should be able to get $1200 for it easy! As long as the inside's in good nick,as that's the most important bit,I reckon.
  22. Geez, you've gotta be on the ball to keep up with this thread!!
  23. Thanks for the replys guys.It sounds like quite a good unit. I was just curious about the 0-400m feature,as It's 6hours to WSID,and 9hours to Willowbank for me..... As long as it's fairly consistant, more than spot on accurate, just to use as a "development" tool for my own car,as mods progress. I've seen these for $145 at import parts australia.
  24. Just wondering if anyone has this turbo timer? It lists in it's features a 0-100kph,0-400m,etc. Has anyone used the 0-400m function, and how would it compare to say,a G-Tech? I assume the GReddy timer uses a similar brain as a G-Tech, to read g-forces to calculate times, but you have to level up a G-Tech before a run,so I'm wondering how accurate this timer would be?
  25. Have you condiderd buying one privitely? May be cheaper, and certainly a lot quicker! Might be "safer" buying through a dealer, but syd or bris is a fair hike for a warrenty claim. If you get a good car, there's not much that goes wrong with them anyway....
