  1. Hard luck dude....but 10sec?
  2. [ant] I assume they're just going to slip some hose over the top of the GTR injectors, and as you say, clamp em up tight! Not as good as proper hose tail injectors, but if it's only a temp thing,it'd be ok.Just a bit of advice-check the clamps regularly,to make sure they're still nice and tight. boj01 - dude, that's going to be one smick DR30!!!! Let us know if the redline makes any difference to th shifting.FJ boxes are notchy from factory I think And here's my general interest bit! I went to a dyno day up here on the weekend, and an FJ20 Stanza (TO4 equiped) spun up 323HP at the wheels on 15psi!!! Pretty bloody good I thought! The rest of the motor is basicly a twin to my FJ,but I have a Garrett ball bearing turbo ( :uh-huh: :D
  3. Fair enough, but you realise the the injectors you have comming are o-ring style, not hose tail, like FJ's...If you need stuff done asap, you don't want to be mucking around with fuel rails,etc.... or are you just going to squeeze a bit of hose over the top of them?
  4. GTR injectors will be too small for what you need!!! Like you say,get some 13B 550cc or similar.
  5. Aussie DR30  Hmmmmm
  6. HR30's also have the same rear end. You're after a "long nose" R200 (and cradle) Maybe even an HR31 arse end would do the job,as they use the same early R200...you'd have to use solid cradle bushes though,as the HR31's whole cradle is "pushed" by the HICAS to effect rear steering. Not as sufisticated as a rear rack, but it worked!
  7. ant, that's a pretty good result really!! How much boost were you running? Your max power should be around 160kph (6800-7000rpm) so you should be on target for 240 odd at the wheels, depending if your turbo will keep going in the top end ok.....My FJ spun up 246hp@wheels on 10psi,but was only tuned to 4000rpm,so there would probably be 255odd in it when fully tuned....and my max power was 6800rpm....
  8. Yes they are a mechanical diff.I've heard the HR31 is a 2 way mech stock, but can't confirm that.I guess the '30s would be the same...?
  9. Haha, don't worry about it! Check out my user name, and I drive an HR31.... As for CHEAP turbo's for 300HP that bolt straight up......I think you'll have to modify oil/water lines at least. If you mean 300flywheel,maybe an RB25 unit? 2nd hand hi-flow T3,or maybe an old school T3/4.....
  10. Oh no,we've been sprung! Not!! haha.I'm actually chucking out my RB20 and replacing it with an FJ! In the end,it doesn't really matter,as long as our cars go hard!! Personally,I'd prefer to keep a DR30 FJ powered....HR30's are a bit different though Doctor 30,the DR30's and HR30's are basicly the same car,but the DR's came out with the FJ20,whereas the HR's had an L series straight 6.(L20ET)
  11. No,Bailey chanel is the stuff the door glass runs in,in a car that has window frames on it's doors.
  12. Sounds nice.Throw some pics up if you have any! But I have to say, what's with all these RB's in DR30s?????
  13. My old HR30 coupe had some bailey channel cut in half, and glued (contact cement) to the 1/4 as a rubber.Worked quite well,if you can't find some proper ones.
  14. Just to be on the safe side, crack the "filler" plug before undoing the drain plug.Just in case it's really tight,or nearly rounded off, etc. If you drain all the oil out,and for some reason can't get the filler one out, you're in trouble!! I assume you'd be doing this at your work? You guys should have a hand pump thing.Looks sort of like a greese gun,but you pull handle out to suck up oil from a container, then pump it into the g/box.Kind of like a yabbie pump but yeah,a drill pump would be even better if you have one! A bit off topic, but you haven't had any more BBS center caps come in have you? I'm still after one for mine!
  15. yeah,something round that
  16. I might shoot down for a cruise as well maybe. If anyone's interested, saturday the 17th,there's a dyno day on near Port Macquarie....only 2.5 hours north of Newie. $50 for 3 runs Anyone interested?
  17. Yeah ant, looks good.Love the new wheels too! ahahahahahaha
  18. Well, why don't you then? You've asked this question about 3 times now,so if you have the ability to fab something yourself, maybe that's the answer?
  19. Someone was looking for "The Run" link a while ago? I got mine from here.....I found it pretty boring actually..... http://www.gtrcentral.com/movies/data/niss...e_Run_large.mpg
  20. Yeah,like Port Macquarie! (where I live)
  21. Yeah,it was a cruise for FJ20 enthuisests,so I went along in the HR31 anyway! It's an ECCS red top,but that's not important,as it sucks anyway. Yes,my FJ20 will soon be living in the HR31.Dare I say it,I think I'll have the best of both worlds The FJ already has Wiseco forgies, big Garrett ball bearing turbo,EMS QI-4 ecu, etc,etc....
  22. Very true.I think the weight breaks would take care of that though....(?) And also keep in mind, something that light, with that much grunt, would have a harder time getting it to the groung on street tyres
