R33 GTR Power FC with Hand controller
YO880 replied to YO880's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
here are some pictures of the ECU and controller Controller is in excellent condition, no scratches or anything also forgot to mention it is a Power FC Pro version.. not the standard one.. -
yep, been there by comparing the two, the signals seem to be very similar, a couple are different.. Have a read of the RB30DET thread, i asked the same questions and the consensus seemed to be that you HAVE to use the same sensors as the ECU you are using.. from memory the two connectors for the ECU's are different too.. i would love for that to be wrong
-
i believe that the R33 rb25de gearbox is similar to the R32 RB20DET 5 speed still not sure on the rechipping of the R32 RB25DE computer, turns out ours was an R33 one, so that was out.. we will probably either go for an Rb20det computer (i have the loom, just need the ECU and all the sensors), or just go aftermarket with the RB25DE loom that came with the engine

Hi Guys, i have a PowerFC with Hand controller for sale for an R33 GTR (assume it works on R32 too) I bought it from prank, when he sold his GTR, he got 250rwkw with exhaust and intake mods, running 1 bar on the programmed tune.. obviously you need to get it mapped to your car but atleast you save $600 getting the base tune done i never unfortunately got around to installing into my car so it is up for sale asking $900 apparently there is a shortage of GTR PowerFC's in Japan at the moment, so you had better get in quick

i never got a responce from them and gave up

no worries, i think we will still organise a conventional advanced drivers training course anyways..' Kent
-
Fatz, it seems from the events section that your driver training is track based? (ie. how to drive on a track?). We are aiming solely at driver training for road safety, not to get a fast lap time, or to get sideways. I also don't think it is very pc. to try to associate a drift training day with this.. it isn't what we are trying to acheive I am sorry if i am wrong, please let us know

Hi Guys, On reflection of the recent tragedy (EVLR34), Both Christian and I have decided to try and organise a group Advanced Drivers Training day. The training will be of a Defensive nature, which will help you to drive safely and be able to keep in control when you need it most. We will be organising this for Sydney some time too, and we really do hope that someone will organise something for other areas, or people will be responsible enough to see the benefits of booking themselves on these courses.. it is money that is truly well spent (for example, what is a $300 blow off valve worth compared to the safety of you and those around you???) Guys, even if you don't participate in this Training (or have done so before), please try and take a minute to reflect on your driving style, and please show respect for others on the road, Both myself and Christian have started to contact driver training companies, hopefully we can arrange some sort of deal, we will let you know when we have more details (we will add it up here, and when we are organising the event, it will be posted in the events section) Thanks Guys, Kent Be safe out there

3 people die on central coast - R34 GTR ripped in half
YO880 replied to Blitz's topic in New South Wales
it is such a sad and terrible tradgedy, it makes you really think how one silly little mistake can really make such a huge impact on those around.. hopefully this terrible news will make an impact for the good as well and save some lives too i know it has made me think twice about the practice of speeding in seemingly "safe" streets (no matter how little over the limit) Condolences from not only from myself, but my friend Dennis, and the rest of the Hornsby Boys -
not quite sure, it would be over a year now, i would check the reciept, but it was lost in a pile of paperwork

This is an Apexi Programmable ECU for a Skyline R32/R33 GTR with RB26DETT engine. It does not include the hand controller it is a replacement computer for the factory ECU allowing the car to be tuned for it's full potential. The ECU was bought in Australia for $1650 (which it still retails for) just over a year ago and i never got around to installing it and having it tuned. It has been plugged into a GTR to verify that the ECU works, and the car idles fine with it. Professional Tuning is highly recommended after installation of the ECU as i have no idea what the base map is like (but that is fairly fundamental anyways). Computer is in Perfect condition, in original Box, with original documentation. The model is PFC GTR33L and according to Apexi works with R32 and R33 GTR's (with RB26DETT engine). Unfortunately i have had 2 people waste my time now with this. If you do not have the money, or are not serious (and that includes offers like $400) don't bother!

i have all the original gear for it * 30Gb iPod * Dock * Firewire cable * Power adaptor * Case (both the hip case, and the fabric pouch) * Install CD's and Original Box it is formatted to work with Windows at the moment (of course!) only used a handfull of times (on the plane, in car trips to the snow), it has always been used and stored in the Case, and then in the fabric pouch it comes in. never use the thing enough to get any enjoyment out of it.. looking for $400 ono

any ideas if this would be a higher pressure / flow than an R32 GTR pump? i need another pump for the 240k, but not sure which to use as the main pump from the surge tank (as oppose to the pre pump from the tank)
-
as plenty of people have said, do a search, there is a tonne of information on this and other forums.. all covering these questions.. you will learn a lot more by searching and reading similar posts
-
spend a couple of hundred bucks on an advanced driving course, and just get use to the car.. better to have some money tucked away in case you find something wrong with the car... then later on down the track look at upgrading etc..
-
check out justjap for frontcuts, i know they had one a couple of weeks ago (it was a redtop).. you wouldn't bother fitting a 2L non turbo, it would be gutless your other option could be to drop a RB25DET into it do a search here, or on r31 forums.. i am sure there is plenty of stuff out there
-
not too hard apparently (depending on how mechanically minded you are) , just buy a front cut and xfer it over http://R31.fcpages.com/rb20.htm
-
have you looked into insurance yet? for a 1st car, a turbo might not be the best option.. i don't think any australian car came with the 2L Turbo, just the 3L RB30E engine, for a turbo, you will need to find one that has been converted, or an import.. or do it yourself.. either way would expect insurance to be a killer i am pretty sure the RB20DET have "ceramic turbo" written on the cross pipe above the engine..

apparently the computer with the 7 LED's is the ABS computer for future reference.. nobody got a NICS picture?
