Hi Guys, Bought this just over a year ago new from Hills motorsports for $1650 (have reciept) Only used once for 2 minutes to verify that it worked with my R33 GTR (the first PFC i bought kept stalling the car, but worked on an R32.. wierd!, this one is perfect). I have put off getting my car tuned for the past year, and have now decided not to change ecu's Computer is in perfect condition, AFAIK it is australian delivered. I will get the model number tonight. model number is PFC GTR33L, according to apexi, works on R32/33 $900 ono.. Buyer pays postage

+++++rb20det 5 Speed Manual+++++

do you still have this? -
so the RB20DET AP Engineering PowerFC will fit the RB25DE loom? phew! what extra wires / sensors would i need to run for the turbo (if any?) thanks joel AFAIK, the D-Jetro version of the PowerFC allows you to use MAF, instead of AFM, not sure what engines it covers though (or what you need to add to it) http://www.greenline.jp/catalogue/electron...p#apengineering

it is going into a Datsun 240K, hence why i am getting all the parts as i go (i am starting out from scratch). so i basically have the rb25de and loom, rb30 bottom, want to add a turbo, and need to know what computer to get to run it with
-
and what computer?
-
please let me know if you have an RB20DET loom you want to sell.. thanks Kent

okay, i just found the other thread you replied to (rb25de powerfc), it makes more sense now.. i didn't think that the RB25DET and DE sensors would be different on the same model engine.. i guess it is RB20DET loom hunting time are you talking about the problem of needing the GTR resistor pack to lower the resistance for the GTR injectors? i assumed that having the AP engineering PFC (being for low impedence injectors), you wouldn't need this? or are you talking about another problem with them?
-
as far as i know, it doesn't have vct anyway (well, atleast i can't seem to find anything that indicates it is vct) using the Rb20det AP eng. PFC, that would mean i would also need to go low impedence injectors? (GTR ones, meaning replacing the fuel rail for top feed too?) damn.. and after a 2 month search for an RB25DE loom would i have the option of using an RB25DET computer? or are the looms (and sensors) completely different (if so what is the difference?), and the lack of vct too much?

guys, quick question for you regarding ECU's, i am starting from scratch (as this isn't going into a skyline (well R series atleast ) so far i have RB30E (from R31 Skyline) bottom end RB25DE (i assume it is from an R32, doesn't seem to have vct) head (incl. most sensors) RB25DE wiring loom (from R33) RB25DET injectors (have the rail too, but they don't look too different from DE) RB25DET exhaust manifold it isn't all together yet, as i am trying to get all the parts i will need (on the cheap) before assembly (though i am probably at the stage now where i can get into it) i am going to throw a turbo onto the mix as well (not sure which one yet, but probably a T34R, not that i know much about turbo sizes, i was just told by a friend who can get them cheap, that it would be good.) .. question is.. what ecu should i be looking at? I was going to go down the path of an Autronic (but not after needing to buy the CDI, and having to run wasted spark), so now i am looking at powerfc or a rechipped R32 ecu.. question is.. which one? will the rb25DE wiring loom fit into a rb25DET computer (of course i presume i will need to run some extra wires for the missing ones?) If powerfc is the go (which leaves me only with the rb25det comp choice i guess), which one, the AP eng. one, D-Jetro (i havn't got an AFM yet), or the normal.. will not having VCT confuse the APFC? similarly if a rechipped ecu is the go, should i get an RB25DE one and does anything need to be done for the turbo, i presume the turbo side of things is run independantly through a boost controller? thanks guys, this has confused me for a while!

good to see more 240k's showing up on the forums! i have learnt a lot about the suspension since my original posts.. we are currently working on upgrading the rear brakes to R31 disks, then we will be eventually looking at getting an R200 in, preferably converting the rear half shafts to CV joints in the process.. finally got my hands on an RB25DE wiring loom, so we will start concentrating on getting that all hooked up, our RB30DE put together (T will come a little later on down the track), and finding a gearbox to start work on fitting the engine in the car.. then the rest of the fun begins!

cool, thanks guys.. looks like it is a s1 then, it has the mounting block for the ignitor and the connector from the coils, just no ignitor.. but that hopefully will be sorted out very soon

you have mail! -
Hi Guys Quick Question.. can an ignitor module from a RB25DET be plugged straight into a RB25DE engine? are the coils different on each engine? is there any difference between the ignitors on the Series 1 and Series 2 engines? Thanks Kent

any news on the wiring loom? -
Hi Inasnt, i already have a flywheel and exhaust cam gear, will have to wait to see if the Box comes with a clutch before i buy a stock one, we need a box fairly soon though, so shouldn't take too long to let you know. Blind Elk, interesting.. what computer did you use to run it from? i must admit i have no idea what the ignitor does, but i presumed it would give the firing order too?
-
apparently it is fairly fussy.. 512mb ones should work, but there are very few that do.. ATP branded ones should work i have heard, but they are almost 2x the price .. best to try in store before you buy.. i learnt that the hard way

Hi Guys, just a friendly reminder to keep general chit chat etc.. out of this thread. Any technical questions etc.. post a new thread. We don't want 50 page threads popping up everywhere (makes searching for important information too hard) thanks guys

plenty on here, only problem is it constantly hits it's bandwidth allocation.. but hey, that is probably because our car is on there http://sgt77.topcities.com/ and the GTR http://www.enthuno-mori.at-server.com/niss...20040208nissan/ also there is a forum on www.classiczcars.com for 240k's but i think we are slowly converting them to SAU congrats on the purchase, great price!! keep an eye on our website as alot of your conversion would follow ours

there is a good site with lots of how-to's on cleaning at http://www.carcareonline.com/howto.aspx some good info on cleaning interiors etc.. too

looking for wiring loom, fuse box and ignitor -
Hi Guys, just bought a brand new Pretec 512mb MMC card which i wanted to use in my Nokia mobile. Unfortunately it doesn't (clap clap for Nokia for compatibility!). It has only been used for 2 minutes, and definantly works in the PC so it should work with all MMC devices (except nokia 6230's of course :pissed: ) It is the High Speed version. Will take $170 for it (i paid , and will ship at buyers expense.) I paid $210 for it days ago

might sound like a silly question, but what are the dimensions of the fuel tank?
