-
we will use the stockies for the event (as we have 6 of them), then after that maybe look for a fat set of watanabe's or a simialr style wheel.. havn't thought that far ahead yet
-
RB25DET would be okay, even if you have only one of them (ECU or Loom), please let me know..
-
I am not sure how much of the front of ours is C210, I am pretty sure most of it is (though we have coilovers and different brakes), there is a bar that is too long for the c110, once we replaced that with the original it seems fine (it was around 30 degrees of camber before) check out the day 2 pictures, there are a few photo's of the suspension there.. Hi guys, i am looking for a cheap and complete wiring loom and ECU for the R32 RB25DE, this is for Prank's and my C110 Project charity car. The sooner we can get one the better Thanks Guys Kent
-
may i ask what you payed, i will be looking for one soon too
-
Thanks Dennis, Wonderful news! that is fantastic, just let us know the date and we will be there! i will be delighted to update the sponsor list! on the topic of the rear suspension, it sounds like a very good thing to do, and well.. seeing as we have the rear suspension off at the moment anyways (needed new brake cylinder seals and new pads). I was quoted $500 for the DR30 rear end (and $2k for the R200 LSD!), i assume that these are very expensive prices, if you have any idea (or anyone else does?) where we can get these cheaper i would love to know, worse case we can leave the standard parts for now and sort them out later on Oh, i picked up an RB30E today (from an R31), the search for an RB25DE (complete engine, or top end) and an R32 RB25DE/T computer is now on!
-
the diff in the R30 wasn't LSD was it? i know the 300zx circa 87-88 had from factory, though i don't know what / if other cars came with one
-
if only it was a c110 replica oh well.. if anyone ever finds a replica KPGC110 rear wing for sale(little boot lid spoiler similar to the torana XU1) please please please let me know!
-
anyone know where there are any rear end's from a DR30, want to do the conversion in our 240k (just wouldn't have a clue even where to start looking for them!) rear suspension assembly, shocks, springs etc.. Thanks guys

R32 frontcut leftovers, + R200 DIFF
YO880 replied to walkingpig's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
don't suppose the Diff is an LSD? -
Hi Guys, i have been keeping the website updated, but i just wanted to thank a number of people especially who so far have helped or contributed to the project! Ghostrider - for hooking us up with what will hopefully be a major sponsor John from Unique Autosports (www.nismo.com.au) - for providing us with a fire extinguish Zac from Slideways Imports (www.slidewizeimports.com) - for providing a rear GT-R badge bri33sta (Brie) - for providing a St johns offroad 4x4 first aid kit Nick - the old owner of the car has also given us a lot of info and a few good spares Thanks to all of you, and any others that are looking or willing to help us (and the kids!) out!. a list of items that we are in need of are located at www.project240k.com/wishlist.html Kent
-
tim (sorry to sidetrack the conversation), how easy was it to fit the R30 rear end? just bolt up? or did you have to drill new mounting holes? what sort of diff is in the r30 anyway? i am looking at putting an R200 in ours, would the R30 be a better choice?
-
well, if your interested i may know somebody selling a C210 nissan workmanual for around $40, i bought mine off him so he is legit (i was originally going to buy the C210 one, but decided on a c110 car instead )
-
I have the workshop manual and getting a haynes manual for the C110, if you need anything, i am sure the models arn't too different..
-
for those interested, we have added content and a few more pictures on the website www.project240k.com

isn't she purdy! yeah i was talking to prank about that earlier, just not sure if we should go out and stick an RB25 in there.. i must admit i know little about the RB20, but i am sure it can hold it's own (but will it give us easy cheap wheel spinning power?! there was a 240k in brisbane that we unfortunatly missed out on powered by a nissan alloy 4.4L V8 .. hmm... it isn't turbo, but interesting none the less!

How much for an average 240K or C210 coupe?
YO880 replied to floody's topic in General Automotive Discussion
check out our thread over here there is a c210 in canberra for $500, unregistered but apparently with a good strong body, link here much prefer the c110 body though, and we just picked up a C110 for a lot more than that (5x), but it has partly been restored and well what can i say, we fell in love with it first time we saw it! (even if it is still just a shell!) -
Fantastic, we can use all the help we can get! we already have the replica flaired guards, and fender mirrors (from a bluebird) which we got with the car, we are still trying to work out the other differences (grill, tail lights, wing, oh and engine obviously ) we also will have to find a nice wide set of tyres, probably 15x9 or 15x8.5 though for now the highest priority is to get sponsors and get the car back together! we only have 4 months before the Camp Quality event!

Well, welcome to the new classic Skyline thread! (wohoo first to post!, ain't i special!) anyways, down to this "classic" business! both Prank and i have just put down a deposit on a "project car", a 1974 Datsun (yep, you heard right a Datsun!!) 240K why a 240K and not a 1600 i hear you ask!? well that is a very good question, in January 1973, nissan (or Datsun) released the 3rd generation GTR (and only 197 of them), the KPGC110 2000-GTR!! Our 240K just happens to be it's (slightly underpowered for now!) sibling, and the plan so far is to create a replica KPGC110 2000-GTR i know your next question! "huh? nissan made GTR's before the Bathurst winning R32 GTR?", yep! and this is what it looks like! http://server.gt-engine.info/shogtr32/reki...%20kpgc110.html and here is our beasty in all it's unfinished glory! http://www.project240k.com/media/pre-purchase/LD/ we will also be running the website www.project240k.com with all progress and updates. The reason we have embarked on a project car is to enter into the 2004 Camp Quality esCarpade, which is a charity event designed to raise money for Camp Quality, a charity that helps to enrich the lifes and quality of life of kids with cancer. The rally goes for 6 days and travels from Tamworth in NSW through to the tropics of Queensland and back down to Coffs Harbour (http://www.campquality.org.au/help/fundrai...section=cqrally) We do need some help though, we will desperately need sponsorship, the entry alone is $3500! if you know of any businesses that will be willing to sponsor our car for the event, please let Christian (Prank) know. It would be greatly appreciated and of course sponsors will have dedicated sticker space on the car for the event. Also if anybody knows anybody who can hook us up with a discounted new or great secondhand car mounted UHF radio, please let us know! Thanks to all of you that have offered to help so far (and those that will throughout the course of the project), you can't possibly imagine how appreciative we are of your help! The initial plan is to get the car spray painted (After fixing up the remainder of the rust), then get to work on the jigsaw that will be putting it all back together (seeing as this is our first project car, and we didn't pull it apart, this will be fun!). if time permits, we will be looking at upgrading the engine by replacing it with possible an RB20DET, RB25DET or possibly even a VG30DETT (cost permitting of course, this will be a farily low budget build up!) we were lucky to find a low kilometre car (the owner mentioned it had 50,000km on the clock!), initially owned by a little old lady, who only drove it to bingo on a saturday night in country australia.. and believe it or not it shows! (apart from the obligetory sun damaged dash and rear seat). The current owner was planning on using it for a project car and did a little work on it before deciding to concentrate on his 240z project car instead. Current modifications include Honda Accord front discs, Hi-lux calipers, power steering (from an R31), air conditioning, and adjustable height coilovers on the front! a nice basis for our buildup! anyways, welcome again to the classic skyline section!
