  1. Argo ???
  2. the problem was that the o rings were not sealing properly. Turbotechnics took the fittings off, got them machined flat so there is no groove where the O rings used to go and then used copper washers and a decent thread sealant. took it for a 250km drive last night and it did not leak a drop! Very happy about that now!
  3. wow a tuner who will pay for a engine that blows up after he tunes it? sounds too good to be true
  4. depends on what boost level, 300kw should be doable
  5. Those AFR's are much safer then before. Being in QLD with the hotter weather i would still like to see 11.8 afr across the board (on boost) for piece of mind, then I would consider the tune safe. That tune may be considered safe by other tuners who know what they are doing so don't take my opinion as gospel mate, i just like to keep em a bit richer to help cool the cyl's which helps to reduce detonation in case of a fuel surge or a bad batch of fuel etc etc. Its my engine i spent big $$'s so I would rather see 30kw less and nice healthy engine then drive around with a hand grenade under the bonnet. mind you those AFR's you have now are not what i would call a hand grenade....... but i would not like to run my engine like that.. thats all.
  6. Maybe its a map sensor tuning issue I am not sure as i love my AFM's...... Its much better and the car would run better. I would also say that if that was cleaned up you should be able to get more mid range and have the boost comming on a bit earlier. maybe this guy is having issues with your ecu ? its much safer now but still not as rich as i would like it. is the engine forged?
  7. when it comes to women yes.. not cars
  8. Guys, we all know who this business is. They are well known for their rediculous prices, i dont even call them anymore when i need parts even though they are local to me. Good luck with it mate, i hope you get your refund.
  9. You change ecu more then ive had baked dinners. Did you get me a demo unit ?
  10. LOL.. english please??? I took it to my mate at Turbotechnics and he is going to machine the fittings flat where the O ring goes and replace it with copper washers. Appart from that the rest of the kit looks OK except for the really long long oil lines.
  11. good ole cb70's... man you can chuck some timing into those! forgies standard!!
  12. sounds good.. power fc back in?
  13. This makes me feel a little better. But still pissed off.
  14. if i don't get a reply soon, i won't need a reply or another skyline part EVER!!!! grrrrr
  15. I got one of the light weight 19 row blue oil cooler kits, and oil keeps leaking from it. I have tried to replace the o rings with some good quality wurth ones which made no difference. I then got hold of some locktight paste stuff (hydrolic thread sealant) which is suppossed to hold 1000psi once cured AND IT STILL LEAKS. Does anyone have any ideas on how i can stop this from leaking? should i just use thread tape? Its leaking on the fittings that screw onto the sandwitch plate on the block. Has anyone had this issue before? how did you fix it. I hate oil leaks more then anything else, leaking 300v chrono is driving me INSANE!!!!
  16. pm me too please.
  17. what if your GTR needs the whole day again
  18. hmmm maybe you should worry.. you don't need to know shit or have any tickets or anything to have a tuning shop and a dyno. Maybe you should ask for your money back. drive down to nsw, get it tuned and drive back and you will have change from your $1000 lol Try mercury motorsport?? i dunno i don't know any places up there mate. good luck with it though.
  19. i hope you have more then 700hp at the rear wheels?
  20. Mate go back to him, give him another chance, tell him to fix it properly and get a reliable tune! He might have been having a bad day / week.... surely he will fix it for free. $1000 man, far out i feel bad for you... but for that kinda money you would EXPECT backup support. Go back to him and tell him you want the AFR to be 12.4 from 2 - 8psi and then from 8psi to 12psi you want 12.0 and from 12psi to 18psi you want 11.5afr to 11.8. If he does that for you then he may be a good tuner to use in the future. good luck with it!
  21. just move the air flow meter further away from the turbo and you will be fine.
  22. ok i added a new AFR line on how it should look like, or there abouts, it could get richer about 500rpm earlier but you get the idea. Tune em rich, enjoy your engine for a large number of years, tune em lean ??? then your keen!
  23. what a ugly tune. ugly setup. that is wayyy tooo lean. get a smaller turbo, settle for 250 rwkw and some kinda driveability!! Sorry but i am not a fan. that tune is lean enough to cause engine damage IMHO
  24. I HATE OIL LEAKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  25. This is what i would do. Take the cooler out and pipes. replace cooler. Take the inlet manifold off and split the plenum and clean it. Compression test the engine and leak down test. If there is no signs of problems with the compression / leakdown test then you should be right as long as ALL cooler pipes are clean and the plenum and runners etc etc is all 100% clean. Good luck with it matey
