  3. It can effect the tune. I have seen different plug gaps make big difference on cruise maps and when on boost. I would get it checked for sure.
  4. I suggest you invest in a power fc and datalogit. This way it will be much easier to tune your car. Connect your wideband to software so you can get a read out in a graph of the AFR. What you can do is just do power runs in second gear untill you get the afr's right. then check in third/// Its going to be hard if there are no open roads. IF you had a power fc you can log a average AFR per cell and then adjust the map then re-test. The best option for you in this case. If there is no dyno available road tuning is good but you need open road to test 4th gear.. 3rd at the least....
  5. go get some new NGK spark plugs. BCPR7ES and make sure they are gapped to .8 should fix it
  6. everytime i see the word "propeller" makes me laugh.. lol funny shit Are you sure that the turbo chipped during the failure? maybe something hit it earlier on and the engine allready ate up the propella pieces
  7. You wont know it was running lean untill you blow it up. pull it appart and think... "maybe i should have waited to tune it before boosting it" If your that short scrapped for cash PM me maybe i can do you a credit tune
  8. when i think about it... PFC $1300 Gizzmo Launch Controll $400 (second hand its 700 new) Q45 AFM $180 Boost Controll Kit $350 I i will have $200 left over from selling all my stuff and buying this ECU.

  10. you might need to move the AFM away from the turbo. but dont do this untill the car is tuned and there is still a problem.
  11. Gives a totally new meaning to fixing something that aint broke... She is broke because its untuned. Get it tuned. Fix the problems after its tuned, if there are any!

  13. you could but the cat wouldnt heat up and wouldnt work properly. I dont think there is a way around it. you might not need a cat on it... it only opens on full throttle.. so you can still get a car passed emissions with a screamer pipe.
  14. Agreed. I been at it for nearly 5 years now... and I still have many questions that i ask my friends who tune cars all day. Id rather dyno a car then road tune these days though.. starting to get lazy

  20. Seriously.. runs a stock rb25 computer with stock injectors. made 268rwkw or something.. I know because I ran the car up on the dyno! Runs a GT30 and a RB30DET and a decent fuel pump and a FPR, he has tricked the computer to not go into R&R. Yes KW. I ran it up on the dyno myself I usually like to joke about funny things... I am dead serious!

  24. if these guys a really cluey.. a feature to convert the Power FC datalogit maps into their own software to be uploaded to the ECU to cut down on the initial change over costs.
  25. Yeah cool.. I will give it a go... I am all for local products.. if your comparing it to the likes to autronic / motec maybe you can ask the guys to put ignition knock corrections like the standard ECU. So if the ecu see's knock it will drop the timing to drop the knock automatically.... I know the AEM ecu does this and the Nistune ecu does this (stock ecu). they are the only 2 ecu's i know that can do this. Power FC is only a "flashing light" Maybe ask them if they can do that, and also can you plug in a wideband afr meter for tuning and auto tuning. EGR inputs how many aux inputs will there be on this ecu ? your getting me excited now lol... also the cost would be interesting to know.
