  1. Hey There must be something wrong there. my engine made 400rwhp on 17psi. Here is my old timing map when my car made 487rwhp. If your tuner is not sure what timing a rb25det can take then i would be worried if i was you. Every engine takes different timing. Different configurations = different tuning. That was 24psi with a GT3582r to make 487rwhp. This tune was back in the day when i used to run huge timing on cruise. I remember on 17psi or 16 i think it was with 18deg timing it made 406rwhp.. stock cams
  2. hmmm.... Now we are going back to the basics
  3. then whats different between the dayco and the gates one then ? where do you get the dayco from? thats the one im supposed to be using ?
  4. bring it to me i will fix it. Your timing in the mid range needs to be checked.
  5. you can still use ignition to make the turbo come on quicker, which does not effect the cruise on the freeway where you have the timing in high 40's. your tune, up to you ... post up the ign timing map once you fix up the bottom to lower timing if you can.
  6. hahahaa thats in my car atm It was in there for about 2 months.. i gave it a little workout but not as much to wreck a perfectly good turbo, my turbo was flogged for years before this unit came along.. it just speed up the process. Its a relay, the mafia hooked it up because the switch is the reverse of what is needed he made the relay setup for it which worked well
  7. 212.1kw
  8. I never actually set it up properly yet.. lol... I kept showing off pop pop bang bang and it cost me a gt35r so I leave it turned off now
  9. if i were you i would drop line 17 down to 11, then on 18 go down to 8 then on 19 go to 6 and on 20 go down to 4... You never know when your car might overboost and yours will keep running 12deg all the way which will cause unnessesary detonation when you shouldnt ever be going there unless something is wrong... I do this on my tunes as a habbit for being over carefull i guess.. Heaps and heaps of timing on cruise too! makes the car feel good on cruise i must admit.
  10. when you do a power run on your car, does it go all the way to the bottom line?
  11. Hey people My timing belt got wet again (oil) and i need to replace it, last one cost me $92 and it is only 2000kms old anyways i was looking at the rb30 guide and it seems that i have been using the wrong belt ? Anyway my engine is using this configuration... My config. Info for this config says... Required a belt thats 11 teeth longer with a total of 152 Teeth, the dayco part number is 94407 NOT MY CONFIG (but i have been using this belt Not reccomended cos the belt comes to close together, and the belt is thinner 25mm vs 30mm It uses a Gates Powergrip GT2 p/n 1200 8MGT 30 1200mm long 8mm pitch on teeth 150 teeth 25mm wide (cut down from 30 at factory) Also uses the bosh VB-T866. Which cross references to T291 (so they tell me and its exactly the same and its only $47 25mm wide 152 teeth they tell me so it does have 152 teeth its just smaller) I have been using the T866 belt on my engine, but the configuration says to use the dayco 94407 which has 2 more teeth then the gates powergrip your supposed to use on this one. I am confused on which one I am to get. Where do you get the Dayco 94407 ? i think thats the belt i want this time, or does it not matter which one you use ? i would think the thicker one with 152 teeth would be better. anyway what does everyone here use ?
  12. I am after some aftermarket cams for my rb25det, its the series one type. cheers
  13. i have had my clutch switch hooked up to launch controll (gizmo launch interface) in my r33 gtst and had no issues with Hicas. So i dont see how you will have any issues if i did not
  14. I think you should call me and organise to come for a visit and we can spend a few hours driving around and tweaking if you like. Do you still have my number? PM me if you need it again. Maybe a couple of hours on the dyno will help you learn a bit But yeah I would look at reducing the timing on your cruise part of the map. It would be a good starting point.
  15. Get a power fc. plenty of them in the for sale section at the moment. Upgraded ecu will get you the most power.
  16. full set for $150 in newcastle
  17. i got a passenger side skirt, $50 pickup
  18. I That chrono gear...... Stuff castrol. Motul all the way.
  19. Timing in the top end can vary from car to car. I have tuned a car that had 32deg of timing on 20psi of boost and i have tuned other cars that could not handle more then 10deg timing on 15psi of boost. Timing on cruise. The reason why I like to run it a bit retarded is because after a long drive on the freeway say 20 mins, if i need to give it a blat to get around a truck or because someone made a mistake and i want to get out of the way, rah rah rah I dont want my cyl's to be cooked when i chuck in 25psi of boost into them.... A cool cyl is a happy cyl. You run them very hot, chuck alot of fuel into them.. what do you THINK your going to get?? If you dont know, i suggest uninstalling your fcedit software immediatly. Sorry waffles i know everyone has to start somewhere, but looking at that map makes me cringe. I dont mind helping you get it in order though! dont get me wrong! Does your wideband have pc software that gives you a dyno like graph read out ? mine does and if you set it up it can help you heaps when doing power tests. Cheers
  20. hmmm pm me your email adress.
  21. the satisfaction of having the piece of mind of knowing that you did not waste the money on spark plugs you dont need, and that i would put the money to a good cause. Me.

  23. i got a rb25 box or 2 im selling, check my thread in for sale! going cheap
  24. A print out of the dyno sheet... power vs AFR & power vs boost would be able to tell me if its dangerous or not. The first one would help if thats all you have.
