  1. LOL!! i dont want to have to go buy a money order and send it in! hassle!
  2. Go to repco or a auto parts store. Buy a set of NGK Coppers BCPR7ES which are gapped to .8 Install. re-test.
  3. Yeah its not evident from telling the timing on the CAS. only when using a timing light on the harmonic balancer when you tell the timing then you move the CAS to correct the timing.
  4. i remember getting over 4500 points but i was no where near the other guys 7000... I got sooo frustrated with that game. it makes me angry. I wont even open it now for another go. no friggin way. its evil.
  5. I got a bill for $13.50 for using the cross city tunnel, i dont go to sydney often so i aint going to buy any of those things... Would anyone let me use their account to pay the $3.50 on? i will DD the money into your bank account, saves me mucking around trying to get money orders etc etc.... cheers
  6. i cant take mine to the track untill i get a oil cooler and do something about the suspension and brakes!! lol so it will be a while since i come down... might go down to wsid in the next couple of month, nearly ready.. got everything i need just need to install it all and re-tune it. post up a dyno sheet when you can.. would be interesting
  7. I find that in the tail pipe is okay for small exausts its only when you have it going into a massive cannon where it can give you lean readings on idle and soft cruise. I would honestly go for the wideband.com range with the green display (looks cool) Dyno workshops will have one attatched to their dyno and alot of them have a portable device to test the car with on the street as well. I drive around with mine hooked up all the time and i allways watch it, it saved my engine once already as the fuel pump started to fail and i picked it up straight away because it was reading lean mixtures on boost so then i introduced the bosh 044 pump which fixed my fuel issue. Its a good tool to have and it can be moved easily to other cars to check the afr's.. i got one before i got any other toy or device for my car once my engine was built because i was sick of hireing one.
  8. yes its the solenoid.. some of them are much louder then others. I cannot hear the one on my car but thats probly cos of the big gt3540 sitting right next to it
  9. LOL! yeah get the protractor out and take some pics and show us how its done, that would be educational for all of us =) hhahahaaa just kiddin mate, you have to get a timing light and set the timing by using the timing marks on the harmonic balancer on the bottom of the engine. Probly take it to a mechanic would be the best bet for you, oh and btw it does not click.
  10. Yeah well i checked my oil change sticker and it has been 6000km's since a oil change!! so thats why they would be ticking.. oil is getting a little old but its 300v chrono which is known to last longer then normal fully synthetic oil. will change it in the next week or 2 ooooopppss
  11. I would give anything to see nissan running around bathurst in the big race lapping all the shitbox's again... Ahhhhhhh I will be there thats for sure... might be the biggest turn out Bathurst will ever see... probly wont be big enough for the numbers that would turn up for this... ohhh and there could be brawls.... Probly a bad idea when you think about it.
  12. I HATE HELICOPTER GAME!!!! We used to play this at optus last year and its the only game i couldnt beat everyone at. Thanks for bringing back bad memorys. This game sucks !!
  13. its all good, called John at Unique Autosports and he gave me the measurement of the cam and there is a speedly sleeve available. nice guy!
  14. i got sick of people asking me what that thing is in my exaust pipe so it has its own home before the cat now.. much more accurate for low throttle imho The techedge stuff www.wideband.com is the best you can get in australia in my opinion. buy one from there. the after sales SUPPORT is second to none.
  15. sorry for th confustion, i need a cam that goes in the head.. i ended up getting a cam gear.. i need to replace my cam because the seal has run a groove in it where the seal is and it keeps leaking oil when i replace the seal so i need to speedy sleeve it or just replace the cam. cheers
  16. as above. PM me details
  17. lol.. digging up more old threads?
  18. i think the noobie award goes out to you guys.. this thread is from 2 years ago =)
  19. i think you will find most of the standard cats are actually "compliance cats" that the guys that get the cars past the compliance testing use to pass the "simple" emissions test. these could possibly be a catco 3 way or something similar depending on the compliancer.
  20. i heard that it dont work. 2 cats would take a long time to heat up and work properly, especially seeing that after the first test they stop for 5 minutes before starting the second one the cat would cool down again.
  21. in sydney central coast or newcastle please. PM me details
  22. any news on this cat? i want to buy one next week
  23. Cheers mate, at the end of the day the more legal skylines on the road the more the police will think twice before thinking they can defect the shit out of us. I like to think that skyline drivers can be different to typical bogan type commodore drivers that drive around with defectable cars and i dont mind helping anyone that needs help cos i know it aint easy to do it on your own.
  24. Shaun - if mrgtr911 is nice enough to lend you his exaust system then i would use it for the tests as he was able to pass his gtr with it.
  25. can you look into getting one for me too ? does it have the flanges? cheers mate
