  1. can you take a few pics of your engine bay please? can you take a few of the air filter setup and AFM position ? I need to see how its setup. What afr are you running when your getting this miss ? Take pics of the location of your AFM from the mouth of the turbo and post em up then PM me once done so i can check it out.
  2. remember that these skylines dont use a "boost cut" they use a "air flow cut" so really on the higher boost setting the ecu is entering rich and retard mode and is dropping off the power. A boost controller is just as good as its tuner. Also the car will try and run more boost in really cold weather and it will take a bit for the boost controller to bring the boost back down. I dont think the situation is as bad as everything makes it out to be. I would be happy with the low boost setting with your small side mount intercooler & stock ecu and rest assured you will have much better results with a Power FC & a FMIC. My advice to you is to leave it on the low boost setting and the colder it is the more power you will get as well. I dont think it is really that bad. BTW it could be a dud actuator spring that does not have enough power to keep the flap closed long enough to make the boost the boost controller is trying to make. (these controllers are programed to go to a lower boost setting first and then bring the boost up to the desired set level.. so better its running lower then higher with your ceramic / plastic turbo setups that are on these cars) Who was the tuner ? can you PM me please? cheers

  4. what about the diff ratio ? what gearbox are you using? remember rb25's in skylines had 4.11:1 and 4.39:1 in australia people make the mistake of putting the rb25 into the VL Commodore with the stock 3.45 ratio or whatever it is and wonder why its slow as hell but it will go up to 200ks an hour in third gear. check your ratio's!!!

  11. my car has 363rwkw and i usually get 500km's to a whole tank. sometimes more and if i drive it hard then it will use alot more petrol.

  13. i have been using spacers for the whole 5 years ive had my car. Depends on which one you use. get the one that locates itself and they were fine for me.
  14. i got 487rwhp on my car with a 35r on 25psi and my engine has really low compression

  16. its easy. red is power. black is earth. if the unit dont switch on then green is ignition power. OR green could be injector duty which you dont need to hook up to skylines anyway.

  18. i will have to agree with URAS about that. The turbo tech is just set to one setting and thats it. Where a properly controlled EBC will be able to give you the right amount of boost when you want it how you want it and how much of it you want. The turbotech can spike on some cars and not on others it does have alot to do with the setup as well. I will still stand by saying that the turbotech is a good controller for what it is and it is definatly worth a try. If it dont work for you then replace it with a expensive EBC. I think we should go back to comparing the turbotech with other types of bleed valves and not compare it to a EBC because they are completly different. The fact that we are comparing a bleedervalve to a EBC must say alot for this particular product.

  22. i once built a rx7 turbo for my rb30det. the specs was RX7 Rear wheel and rx7 hitachi core rebuilt VG30 .71 rear housing machined to suit T04 front housing and wheel The turbo was good.. it made 240rwkw on 17psi which was good and it came on really early and strong.. i miss that earlyness goodness. it sounded mad but i wanted more power so went for gt3540
  23. i got a standard rb25det 4wd sump from a stagea as well. but i only want $80 for it... its got the diff on it as well.
  24. it has to be the hose or the filter could be cracked. replace the hose with normal rubber hose and try again
