there was a big Charity commodore cruise on that night and id say they were on the way home from that. The couple had 7 kids. "The police crash investigator said Mrs Howle had started making a right-hand turn across the highway at the same time the three cars entered the intersection. " Looks like the 71 year old lady pulled out infront of oncomming traffic. I wonder how fast the commodores were going and if the outcome would have been different if they were not racing. What if it was a big truck ? This could end up being another major media stunt "street racing this and that - high performance cars this and that"

Pic available here... http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/stor...5007132,00.html They are also talkin about it on the LS1 forums.. they seem pretty pissed about it. http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=80623

Another street racing accident in sydney - 2 commodores smash into a elderly couple. "Witness Wade Watson told The Daily Telegraph two Commodores which were racing braked so hard their tyres exploded. " http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,22156486-1702,00.html

tuning a SAFC is pretty close to tuning your car on the dyno in the game NFS Underground on PS2 =) in fact its even easier then the game is!

I am glad i went for the plasmaman. I would be getting it welded up and then machine the surface and hope for the best. Or re-sell it on dodgebay and buy a plasmaman.

yeah that aviation cement stuff (light grey) is the same kinda stuff nissan uses

get coppers and gap plugs to .6
-
yeah man gcg is your friend. Ring them
-
Yeah i did some testing and the HKS one gave the biggest increase with a 14kw gain following the Nismo and then Apexi

the way i see it is that because these stock bov's are all getting old now alot of them leak a fair bit and cause a power loss and cause the car to run rich as well. So what this mod would do is simply keep the bov from opening which allows for no boost leaking from the BOV. I can see how it works on a leaking BOV yes. The next question i will ask is how many of us have had to replace leaking valves? i know a few people who have and this mod will just stop it from leaking which will make the car feel stronger. Also if there is a increase in boost noticed from the stock level the reason why it would be happening is because of other mods done to the engine like bigger exausts and dump pipe and intercoolers which can cause the boost level to rise but it may not have been noticed before this mod because it was just leaking from the BOV anyway. Seems easy to call someone a wanker when they make calls like this but when you think about it... in every day to day skyline's it could make a difference and probly does as mentioned here.

DO NOT put a VL turbo onto your skyline. For a few reasons. 1: they are bush bearing and a old design 2: you need to mod the oil lines 3: you need to make a custom dump pipe because the wastegate flap is on the dump pipe and its a major pain in the ass 4: it will be laggier and will not make hardly anymore power then a stock turbo The reason why i know this ? is because i have put one on my r33 before. Biggest piece of shit turbo you can get for a r33. Sure if your putting one on a old datsun or something but seriously if you have a skyline by the time you have finished the job you have spend more then the cost of a new GCG turbo and will have less power. You have been warned =)
-
why not ? 300rwkw is more then achieveable on stock head. spend the money elsewhere ! do you have a power FC ?
-
I suggest getting a turbo that is only a LITTLE bigger then your desired power level (no more then 50rwkw) and then tune it to the boost level needed to achieve that power. If you can run your charge air temp much lower then thats allways a bonus. Flow is much better then PSI IMHO

as a general rule your valve springs and lifters should be ok if they are in decent condition. its only when pushing them harder when you have issues. My whole rb25 head is stock - stock cams stock lifters and stock valve springs and i dont have any issues at 360rwkw and might be able to get a little more but i dont really need anymore power. Reason why i asked is because your getting after market cams which may put extra stress on them.
-
are you going to get solid lifters? i kept the stock ones and they are starting to cause me some issues when try to push more then 360rwkw. Anyway Nismo 740cc injectors are the only ones i reccomend. they will do fine for your power level and there will be room for more power later on if needed (4 hole injector's are your friend)

Paul There is no made up kit. I could put one together but it would cost too much money and i wouldnt even be able to sell them because they are really easy to make. All you need is the JUN 1.5mm restrictor which is available from hioctane (details above) OR from Japan Nengun www.nengun.com he sells them as well. The collar is available from Nengun as well but its a bit more expensive then the version from Proengines in Canberra. Then if you read the oil controll thread that i linked above you can see pictures and details on how the drain back to the sump was made and you can source the parts and fittings from your own local sources (speedy fitting etc etc) all it is.. is a drain back from the back of the head to the sump thats it. very easy once you have it appart and know what has to be done. Check the pics DID i mention to read that oil controll thread ? just double checking that i did.
-
there is a JUN one for sale on the for sale section at the moment. I have purchased 4 or 5 of them so far from Pro Engines. Very good service and they get it to you very quick as well (providing he has them in stock) taken from www.proengines.com.au Contact Pro Engines Phone: 0448 826256 E-mail: [email protected] Address: 18 Stephens Road Queanbeyan, NSW 2620 AUSTRALIA Payments: We accept payment by Bankcard, Mastercard & Visa. Also Direct deposit and Palpal.
-
NP's =) oh btw high octane sell the restrictors so go to www.hioctaneracing.com.au if you need to buy one. I have made 363rwkw outta my 25/30 and i only have the restrictor - i did not go for the drain back from the back of the head to the sump (but i dont do any drifting or track racing)

i am going to take a different approach to the usual "do a search" http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=110680 go there. there is all the information you need for the oil issues. IF your not going to be revving it past 6500 every gear change you probly wont need it. But anyway read that thread. Check the forced induction guide for more info

id take my chances with a 240v hair dryer connected to a 12 - 240v converter before trying a T70 =)
-
as long as your support systems are all up to the task (injectors turbo cooler manifolds etc) sounds like your on the right track. Just make SURE you invest in the crank collar because its worth its weight in gold compared to rebuilding your engine again.
-
depends how much money you have to burn.. if you can afford to rebuild your engine in the very near future then heck... why bother with a crank collar?
