  1. Now that its safe in here again... what about for having a un-engineered high mount turbo? do you get done for points for that?
  2. well if you want to sell your prize then let me know and il grab it off you i like this stuff it made a huge difference to the old oil. ohh and i took the boost controller off the car this morning for commuting to work and back so back to 9psi...
  3. yes getting 350rwkw to the ground is impossible in first and second gear but if you drive it properly you can put 300 down instead then use the 350 in 3rd and 4th i dont know why but my car allways gets good traction.. 3rd gear does not break out uncontrollably at all its very manageable or maybe thats just my driving
  4. Blitz: we won a Motul oil pack.. Turbolite 4100 10w40 and a cap etc etc... you left before they were handing out prizes.. gotta say that the Motul oil is great. My engine has never felt that smooth its like its been balanced again lol top oil imho
  5. did you get it flow tested?
  6. im not suprised a RB25 can make this sort of power at all. Why not ? a 1J can. Well done. definatly many hours of work and i dont even want to think about how much $$ went into that setup. Speed flow galore
  7. yeah i was thinking the same. how do you know that it has been tested and each cyl gets the same flow ? The thing is that if one cyl is leaning out all the time your going to pop it eventually.. I know of a car that had a brand new engine blow because of bad plenum design.. 7k down the drain.. If you plan on getting it tested yourself then it would be okay but get yourself a plasmaman for $100 more which has been tested and look great as well if you were going to go to that extreame.
  8. The reason i did this was to get my car legally engineered. The way it works is that you must get the IM240 test to get a engineers certificate to prove that the modifications you have made ie - intercooler and plenums and exaust manifolds and injectors and ECU etc etc do not change the emissions of the car. I have heard that EPA can do road side tests and when they do the legal limits are different to what the RTA is - i have heard that the RTAs IM240 is twice the limits as the EPA so if you get a good high flow CAT the EPA tests will pass without any issues. Oh and i have not touched the cruise tune since the testing at all as it is fine as it is and still gets good fuel economy but not as good as it was.. bit of a trade off i guess.
  9. had a good day.. was stressin heaps about my engine as its only been tuned for a day... im pretty sure the dyno was down at least 10kw.. not suprised it got a flogging all day! Gotta say the guy who was doing the ramp runs was doing a great job. He deserves to be mentioned!
  10. I want to see under the bonnet
  11. coppers have seen mine. i believe what they said was "gees thats alot of power for being legal" "its good to see someone does it properly for once" btw this was AFTER they inspected the emissions test they were not even interested in checking the tyres after that they just took off.
  12. i want a cable too... i can get hold of one for a weekend but if i give it back to my mate not working he will be pissed and make me buy him a new one
  13. I find the apexi power fc software easy to use... it was confusing the first time i used it and only took a few hours to get used to it. People say the datalogit stuff is even better again. i wouldnt know i have not seen it yet
  14. would you re-use a cometic head gasket? i want to up my compression a little later on
  15. Would like to know what ECU's people are using. Not what they have on their "wish list" I would have expected the stock ecu to be more popular then the power fc... interesting.. time will tell i guess.
  16. If you have a standard computer re-mapped then that will go under "standard nissan ecu"
  17. Just wondering what ECU everyone runs on their Skylines. This is not a debate about what ECU is best. Please click what you currently run only. If your ECU is not listed then PM me and I will add the option. Please only tick the ECU you currently have running your car OR the ecu you have purchased ready to install ONLY not the ecu you want or prefer.
  18. Funny that your Mr nice guy after editing your posts but thats okay. I dont recall not can i see anywhere where i have acused you of saying the Power FC is a bag of shit ? I really dont have much energy to argue much more about this but its very easy to trim 5deg of timing from the PFC map which resets when you switch the ecu off. A question i do have for you is how do you know you have got a bad batch of fuel when you dont have the knock sensors hooked up to the ECU ? and even if you do how are you going to know when you dont have your laptop plugged in? Go for the Adaptronic for all means i keep hearing great things about it and i am interested in seeing this ecu in action (someone i know is getting one installed atm) All I was saying that there is no real reason to go for anything else for the typical Skyliner for $1550 to $1200 (for Pauls gtr system) the Power FC is the far better choice because of the price and because it can be installed in 2 minutes. "The only thing PFC have over other ECUs is Tetris." <--- Ummm No. I would be pretty confident in saying that more people in Australia run Power FC's on their R33 GTST's then they use any other computer.
  19. that behavior is a stock standard feature from Microtech. Sometimes people dont ask them to remove it when buying the ecu new. or you could check your fuel pressure / flow
  20. Never noticed any ticking in mine at all mate.
  21. I am sooo over sydney drivers and how rude they are especially when they wont let you in. Remember if they make contact with the FRONT of their car to anywhere from your front door back its there fault and we dont pay shitloads in insurance money for nothing. EVEN if you change lanes without indicating very fast at the end of the day the insurance companys go by that rule. Still waiting to get my free paint job sucks its taking soo long.. they allways decide to let you in when you go for it anyway.
  22. I am looking to trade the 2 R33 GTST Box's i have one in the car and one sitting at home for a Auto Setup that can handle at least 500hp at the rear wheels for a R33 Skyline. I can also offer the pedals and master / slave and clutch lines to go with this if your interested and clutch / flywheel Exedy 5 puk. Looking at something that is driveable on the street as well but aiming for low 10's on the track. One box has 80,000kms and in EXCELENT condition which could sell for $1700 on its own and one has around 170,000 that needs the 4th gear syncro clip replaced (will be done prior to trading) so both box's in good or excelent working condition for trade. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN SELLING a box yet unless you offer me 2k. Just EOI for trade at the moment please!!
  23. if its freezing cold then the extra couple of PSI would be a bonus and wont hurt your turbo. its mainly when hammering the turbo on big boost when its hot is when we have seen ceramic wheels let go.
  24. LOL!! to be honest that software / setup looks pretty damn good and if it did handle the r33 ECU i would be tempted to buy a workshop licence myself.
