  1. how much fuel did you have in the tank this morning?
  2. Have you wired a 12v relay onto the pump so it gets constant 12 volts ??? Im not sure if 32's suffered from this problem like 33's. If you start the car in the morning how long does it take before the problem starts ? You have a full tank now ?? start it up in the morning and take it for a normal drive and tell me how long it takes before it gets noisy and does it lose power before it gets noisy ?
  3. yeah how much petrol was in the tank when it was making noises and you went to the server and how many litres did you put into the tank? sorry if i was not clear but its better to do it while the tank has around a quarter of a tank or less of fuel. get back to me
  4. hahahaa There are only around 5 people on the waiting list at the moment so its only a 4 week wait at this stage.. So yeah if us aussies keep ordering them then Apexi keep making them!!! so im sure they will be available for some time yet. Feel sorry for the guys who spent $1800+ on a unit during the "dry" period. oh and its Turbotechnics full australian warranty.. but ive never known of a power fc fail that has not been user error yet.
  5. do this test for me and tell me the results.. drive the car around untill the noise gets really bad and you start to lose power then go to the petrol station and fill up the tank with at least 35 litres of petrol. (if your game do it when the car is running while listening to the pump to check if the noise goes away or changes at all) then drive the car around and see how long it takes for the noise to come back again and post the results up.
  6. Yeah..... They got 10 in last week and had 15 on order so they are comming into the country directly from Apexi.
  7. still for sale.. will sell for $270 firm.. these cost $500ish new
  8. this is such an annoying problem!! it used to piss me off badly.. mine did it because every piston had cracked rings and the boost was going into the crank case.. Once it blew by that much that a whole litre of oil squirted onto the red hot exaust manifold... No fire.. just a SHITLOAD of smoke. never have you seen a cloud of smoke that big I even pulled my head off and blocked off one hole and it made a big difference but still squirted because of the rooted engine. Ever since i got my engine rebuilt with ACL forgies i have not had any issues at all... not have i even checked it.. i have my catch can plumbed back into the intake because i like to keep it legal. Might check it for blow by on my next dyno session...
  9. $1550 New. They have to come from somewhere! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Apex-Power-FC-Nissa...1QQcmdZViewItem
  10. they are all over ebay ?? well they were lol
  11. yeah well doesnt anyone wonder where people are buying the brand new RB25 ecu's and putting them on ebay ?? where are they getting them from? I dont think someone purchased 2000 of them because they knew this shit was going to go down. There may be delays on orders because they come from Japan when they are made but they are still being exported.
  12. Hey Paul I heard that Apexi are working on a replacement chip for R33 Power FC's because the damand is so high so we may see them readily available again in the near future... I heard that Power FC's are still available for RB25's brand new but are more expensive... If anyone wants one new they can call Turbotechnics on 0249565466 who orders them Directly and are still available just a little more expensive because they are buying these NEC chips from wherever they can and are paying a higher price for them. The info i get from this guy is allways very reliable but you never know i guess... Maybe the Rb25 PFC is not in such a great shortage after all?? this hype may settle down shortly...
  13. Northern = Win.
  14. did you check ALL the fuses ? its happened to me on my old microtech car... i did not even know there was a fuse there! Look harder maybe?
  15. i am interested in this also...
  16. ive got a hobs pressure switch 9psi i could use...
  17. Chatswood please!
  18. another engineer said he would have no issues if its on the return line but would prefer that some decent fittings were used to prevent it from accidently leaking.. Sounds like it might be okay to leave it where it is for now.
  19. I phoned my engineer who is doing my car and he said he has never seen this done before but he cannot see why it would be a problem... The system is hooked up after the fuel regulator so in a accident fuel is not going to squirt everywhere because its not under high pressure and as soon as the engine stops the fuel flow stops as well. He said he will think about it a bit more...
  20. afr's started to play up a little again this morning but only after 2.5 hours of driving in very heavy traffic because of a few break downs and traffic... the pump was a little louder but no way near as loud as it would have been previously... So its much better then it was.. Was also thinking that if there was a front on accident the cooler would get bashed inbetween the intercooler and the air con cooler and once the engine stopped there would not be alot of fuel leakage... im going to speak to the engineer today about it.
  21. will look into it.. i am still going to get this car fully engineered so will speak to the engineer about it. Maybe it can go in the boot.
  22. i tuned this thing yesterday and it was maxing out at 0.9 bar.. also noticed some dead spots.... be interesting to replace it and re-tune it... Bad luck Jase.. could be worse.. car could be off the road again =)
  23. yeah well i been thinking about that one.. i might have to re-locate it somewhere else later on...
  24. Hahhahahahahaa!!!! maybe you can run a little cooler to keep the smoke temp's down so there is less chances of the smoke getting out...
