  1. when you took it out with no filter did you turn the boost back up to 15psi ? the intake pipes standard have been known to suck in its a common problem
  2. if it was hitting a valve then the engine wouldnt run because it would be too far out. how loud is this sound ? your better off taking off the top & bottom covers and checking the timing properly before shittin yourself about head damage. is it missing or backfireing at all?
  3. yeah for what your getting its still worth it for a power fc. anywhere up to around $1600 would be worth it because they are easy to install and work great.
  4. you really need to get a good ecu and tune it to get any decent economy.

  7. ahhhh thats the thing with those kinda plenums. if the design is not flow tested etc before being made it can cause power loss and also cause some cyl's to detonate because they get less air etc etc.. thats why i went with the plasmaman. It may be okay though because if the one on the 32 was f**ked then that would explain it. i can understand why you want to get it flow tested so maybe you should just in case. Try ringing a engineer or something - maybe kevin will have some kinda idea where to get it done. Also dont forget that the stock plenum can flow 500hp !! its just the location of the TB that makes em kinda crappy and a pain in the ass

  9. LOL I dont think that is what she means. I think that plenum would be okay ana because it still uses the stock bottom half which would make much better then others around. no idea where to get it done though.
  10. i rang the engineer and its all good for next week - il brace this hole this weekend and take it to him to get the certificate. He said i just need to go to a blue slip station to get the details of the engineers certificate entered in you dont actually need to get the car to pass a blue slip cant wait!
  11. yeah I witnessed this Sunny get pulled over and saw the copper running around his car with the certificate in his hands.. the end result was the boys in blue walking away with there tail between there legs. it was gold. I have put heaps of effort getting my car engineered and its not even done yet. BUT i have passed the emissions test and the noise DB test and all i have to do now is plate the big hole in the engine bay that the 4" pipe goes through to the AFM and take it to the engineer to get him to write up the certificate. Click on the link in my sig for info on emissions testing My car has got 317kw a the rear wheels which is around 430hp at the wheels and will be fully legal soon. So it can be done and i cant wait till its! Mine should be done by mid next week. What do you have to do with the certificate and the RTA ? do you have to go to the pits ? whats this about a blue slip ? sounds silly to me

  15. hey when you hit the limiter it will make noise and read high levels. as long as its not doing it on power then it should be ok. I would invest in a soft rev cut for your car like the gizmo rev limiter to help this (which is what i am doing) Sometimes when i am really agressivly revving the engine to the limiter (massive backfire sound and flames from exhaust) it will read at 100 as well.
  16. reset the ecu and use the stock maps. it should not go up so high then.
  17. When i tune cars i tune them to show no more knock then 40 and then set the engine light to flash at 60 so you know you must back off then. who is tuning the car for you? where are you ?

  19. i think you will find that the 02 feedback is mainly for emissions if you turn it on you get worse fuel economy and the car runs around 13.2 - 13.8 a/f ratio. i even tested this theory on the RTA epa test and you can see it only changes the emissions and makes it run richer. i have mine turned off at all times but had it on when i passed the emissions test

  21. yeah well I have seen them work before. i seen a rb25 with a Super T70 pull 420rwhp so yeah they aint that bad but they are SHIT
  22. exactly. when i was doing this one - the stock maps was taking the tune down to 10 af ratios which is very very rich map standard so they will take fuel out of it and it will bring the mixture right which will also make more power. So yeah the stock pfc map is set really trich - you need to get it cleaned up. how big are the 34 gtt injectors? if they are the same as the r33 then 200rkw should be fine.

I just road tuned a mates r33 gtst after he just got his new PFC last weekend and it goes really well.. i am estimating around 195rwkw or so on 13psi which spikes to 14psi when its really cold. the mods are Front mount Full turbo back exhaust K&N panel filter Apexi POWER FC and some duel stage boost controller stock injectors stock fuel pump I dont think it would have less then 195rwkw it goes great - should put it on the dyno soon to check i suppose ohhh forgot to mention it gets up to 90% injector duty with stock injectors and stock pump.
