  1. there is another thread thats been going on for months about this. Search for it.
  2. w000t
  3. at least $2000. even more. maybe shy of $3000
  4. Thanks Sydkid Could i use the walbro to feed the surge tank and use the 044 from the surge tank? Just wondering if the walbro would be good for a pre pump. Cheers
  5. i decided against going through these guys. they will probly reject your claim because your intercooler is not engineered or something stupid. Shannons on the other hand are really good to there customers and they will pay out where most other companys wont. Has anyone ever had to put a claim through these guys yet ?
  6. Not my dyno - its my mates.. i just change what i needed to - just to get it how i know how to use it How do you do it on a dyno dynamics dyno ? tell me how and il do it next time ! - considering i do all my tuning by myself it does not really bother me if its in km/h I am using a Walbro 550hp pump - i wired it to a 12v relay etc etc... im using a sard fpr - i dont know if its a rising rate or what the rate is. Funny thing is that at 317rwkw my injector duty is only up to 75% - its because it completly runs out of fuel - on the fuel pressure / flow tester it was going down to .5 litres a minute returning to the tank. So i am using pretty much all the fuel thats being pumped down the line. Need lots more flow and more reliable pressure. Might get another walbro pump and stick it in the tank OR get a surge tank and a 044 and use the walbro to supply the surge tank.
  7. i need to scan it this weekend but i ran outta fuel so i need to do more work on the dyno after i change the pump. How is a good way to get out of the fuel problem? i want to get over 400rwkw if i can with the stock head. peek power was at around 160ks an hour in 4th gear.. i need to bring it down a bit but wont worry about that untill i get the fuel pump situation fixed up. Full Boost comes on - 110ks an hour (20psi) in 4th gear all the way up to the end 20psi It even has 5psi of boost at 92ks an hour in 4th.. comes on early i wreckon
  8. been looking around and ppl have done 10's with 310rwkw with rb25's.. so a rb30 might have a damn good chance.
  9. what would my r33 manual do with 317rwkw ? with 265 street rubber and with some nice slicks? Could it be a 10 second car?
  10. none at all. seriously i should scan the dyno sheet i printed with the boost curve on it as well. im looking at it now. in 4th gear it goes up to 21psi at 110ks an hour and drops to 20psi at 130ks an hour and holds 20psi all the way to rev limiter. the line is straight as - no curves nothing. Con at C&V wreckons he has never seen a bleeder type valve hold boost like that before and he would expect that kind of boost line from a eboost or something similar. I dont know why it works so well on my car but it does for some reason.
  11. i got a 9psi spring in my car and the $22 boost controller (see thread) holds 20psi all the way through the rev range. Its really weird but it works. I know it shouldnt but it does lol
  12. why do you want to run more boost in hot weather? you will just blow it up
  13. i heard that there was a 4 litre ish nissan diesel that may be able to adapt a twin cam head =) dont know any details though
  14. Just a quick update on this - i wired my fuel pump directly to a 12v feed using a relay (as i heard my fuel pump should flow around 350rwkw) and hired the dyno again and retuned the ecu over the weekend. made 317rwkw on 20psi and cleaned up the fuel maps. getting hold of a decent cat for the next tune.
  15. got 317rwkw on sat outta my 30.. it goes crazy
  16. i have heard of this before.. how many litres are they?
  17. go the rear of the car and double check that the pump is actually getting power. you need a multi meter and someone at the boot to check the wires. if your pump still uses the stock setup --- I installed a relay to my fuel pump on the weekend so i can tell you which wire it is you need to check - there are 2 plugs that go onto the top of the round cap for the pump thats in the tank - the plug with 3 wires is the fuel gauge sender unit and the plug with 2 wires is the positive and negative for the fuel pump. the power wire is the BLUE wire. Took me ages to work it out i needed to get a mate to help because when you turn the ignition on it only turns on for 1 second so as i was runnin back to the boot it was switching off. if your not getting any power then it would be something to do with the wires
  18. is setting the lag time etc is just to bring the map into range of the power fc running on stock maps is this correct? so if i completly changed the whole map and tuned it to the correct a/f then do i have to even worry about this ?
  19. So whats the latency on Nismo 740cc injectors?
  20. I remember a while ago there was a thread going that had details on injectors and what lag times to set it to and where to set them in the power FC software for the Nismo 740cc injectors but I cannot find the thread. Can anyone help with the info or dig up the thread ? I need to check to make sure mine are right
  21. i suggest the KKR. they have been tested and known to be good.
  22. air leak from intake can give you a high pitched squeel. put your ear right near the manifold and listen. the engine should be ok
  23. surely if you got pulled over by a copper and told him its non turbo and he checks he wont give two hoots. if you take it to court you would win anyway.. not that it would ever get that far.
  24. I say convert it to NA and drive it around. if you get pulled over the police can see its not turbo. just find all the bits you need and install it. bung up the holes for the turbo lines and take out the intercooler piping etc etc It can be done and if you love the car lots then it could be OK in the long run as you can start modding the rest of the car untill your ready. You may be down on power a little when it comes to other NA skylines but you can always invest in a set of extractors for it and a air filter etc etc.
  25. Some workshops are really good to there customers - i know if it was Turbotechnics in newcastle they would put the car back on the dyno and double check it and fix it if they can for free. I hear lots of good storys about advan so i wouldnt be suprised if they do that for you too.
