  1. This guy is going to gaurentee his engine... so if the issues are with clearances of the pins and little ends he would have to measure them up before putting the engine together and then fix it accordingly (resize them or whatever needs to be done) and then it will be ok... right?

  3. Wow man you have had the same failure as i did but mine was not quite as bad.. i did not have as much shavings in the engine. Did you use standard ACL bearings or Race series ? i used standard ones and got about 70,000km out of them before i took the engine out and pulled them down. Mine spun a bearing too and the acl rings i got were totally shot on 5 pistons.. only 1 piston had rings that were not broken. If ACL race series bearings do this then I might go for better ones.. one of my conrod bearings welded itself to the conrod took ages to get it off (it was the spun one) Im gona drill a hole through it and hang it on my revision mirror to remind me never take shortcuts again... cheers lemme know
  4. Can anyone give me advice ? Is this a good deal for a RB30 build ? My stocko rb30 shit itself.. I tortured it for 3 years and it said enuf was enuf.... I supplied a stock rb30e engine and its getting Full clean Bore out and fit ACL Forged Pistons with rings (new type fully forged) Scat H beam Rods Fully Balance from balancer to pressure plate Decked Block ACL Race Series Bearings Full Cometic gasket kit (includes RB25 head gasket and inlet and exhaust and everything thats needed) Fit everyting and assemble bottom end gaurenteed $3,300 Can anyone get a better deal or am i onto a good deal. Please help before i outlay that much cash.. I am looking at gettin the crank collar mod and valve springs done too but thats not included in the price. Cheers PS: where is Sydneykid ?
  5. you can trim the back casing of the light and get more clearance and the light is still sealed inside. I just sealed mine with duct tape which worked ok

  7. Apparently they do and they are cheaper. So they are good for high HP ? say 500rwhp ? could i spin them to 7500rpm 8000 ?

  9. I did not give this engine a easy time. Its time to upgrade.. New engine specs will be Aries Forgies Spool Rods Crank collar fitter to stock RB26 pump fully balanced bottom end Possible valve spring upgrade (does anyone know how much the stock rb25det head valve springs can handle before they start floating?) Might push the power to 450rwhp then and more for dyno sheetoff's

I am thinking about getting H Beam Scat rods which my engine builder is quoting me and I was wondering if anyone has every used them before in what application and what sort of power are they good for ? Anyone know where i can get information on them or have any input ? they are not made in china are they ??? I need to know what they are like before I scap the idea and go for Argo rods... Also ACL race series bearings are they any good for 500rwhp ??? Any help would be appreciated.

  15. I think its only the N1 that suffered soo much with this (problem is still there with stock pump though) but if your that worried dont go revving it hard untill you get it done just to be sure

  18. I hear the 3540 dont start making efficient power till around 20psi mine made 350rwhp on 15psi
  19. 420rwhp is about 300rwkw
  20. My mate one tuned one for a customer rb25det and it made 420rwhp on 19 psi. it made full boost at around 4000rpm
  21. Apparently my style of driving is enough to kill any engine. I like to hit the rev limiter and i like to hit it hard. I like to boost the engine hard on weekends. Its got 350rwhp... so the stock bottom end was no up to the task ?? I am being forced to upgrade to forgies so this does not happen in the future but i dont know why i need forgies... stock should be enough but in this case it could not handle my style of driving forgot to mention that i do 140ks a day in the car to drive to work and back and I aint shy on kickin people's ass The car went hard even though it had the noise.. what cracks me up is that it went that good with a totally screwed engine.. so thumbs up all round - guess i gotta look on the bright side of the situation and build a tough engine this time.
  22. pulled down the engine and found that every piston had all the rings broken and in pieces except for one piston. Most of the bearings were scored and number 6 had spun and welded itself to the rod. So its rebuild time. not going to bother with stock bottom ends anymore. waste of time
  23. you got what you got.. say 205 rwkw is the most you can get.. at least that turbo has a good resell value and you can upgrade without any issues..... that rating is HP at the engine.. a skyline can lose 25% 0 %40 at the rear wheels dependant on configuration. You would have a really zippy car with that setup... make sure you got the supporting mods before you upgrade
  24. Eboost 2. If you have the money. BUY it. Thats all you need to know... IE its the best by far nothing will work better thanks for commin dont pass go do not collect $200. Got it ?
