  1. its not that hard to lunch wrx's off the line. depends how angry i am and how much i want to torture my clutch. one launch would take 2000k's off my clutch's life i wreckon lol
  2. Agreed. I used the RB25 pump on the RB30DET conversion and it leaked for me. I got a cheapo $25 pump from repco and its been running good ever since. Should have done this in the first place!!!
  3. for a stock engine 12.3:1 and lower should be ok. You will get a bit of extra power. but you are kinda running on the edge. If anything starts failing like the pump or something it could explode your engine. Its allways a good idea to leave your support systems some head room and you should get your tune checked from time to time.
  4. how much would you rev a rb30det stock bottom end ? 7k ok ?
  5. As topic suggests. Send pm's or sms to 0432254403 Thanks
  6. Probably not. It drives pretty good atm. Pretty happy with the way its going. Dont really have a big desire to go for more power at the moment. But that will change when im ready to go to the track.
  7. I used the rb25det one on my rb30det and could not fit that one bolt - it ended up leaking where the bolt is supposed to be. Lasted 5000ks I got a rb30 one on and have not had any problems since. 55 thousand k's later
  8. Hey I am running a stock bottom end (cast pistons) so 350rwhp is kinda enough for me for now.. with the 3 litre its all you need for the street. I guess i could go up to 22psi and make shitloads more but thats when i can afford it and get sick of the power.
  9. I have read most of this thread and all i have to say is well done! Its a good feeling to prove everyone wrong when all they have done is doubt you. I cant believe that rb25 is still going. I hope my rb30det can make 400rwhp in stock form and be reliable!!! if that rb25 can do then mine can get close to it im sure Keep up the good work.
  10. awesome turbo ! i have one on my rb30det - makes full boost before 3500 16psi
  11. Mates rates. I dont think he even charged me for the time he spent on that. They looked after me. since then he will never touch one of those manifolds again in his workshop. He only used it on my car because its all i could afford at the time.
  12. I think the GCG ones / Just Jap ones have 2 pipes going to the wastegate instead of 2. they are a different manifold. the GCG ones are better i believe. I purchased a cheap ebay one and yes i had problems but when we got the manifold my mechanic decided to spent 10 hours griding all the excess dags off it because he has heard in the past people have blown there turbos with welding dags comming adrift into the ex wheel. So mine blew out in a few places on the dyno because parts of the metal was much thinner then it was before it was grinded out. So thats why it happened.. I had to take the manifold off the car 3 times before we got it all working ok. I ended up getting them to weld over the china weldings and put a nice big piece of stainless bar over the side (it sits near the strut tower side) to strengthen it up. So far since we have done that I have not had any issues with cracks / leaks got over 6 months. car goes well.. but it dont look anywhere near as shiny as that anymore. So if you do buy one of these this is what you gotta do. Weld it up around all the welds to make them stronger Get rid of excess dags Get the turbo surface / wastegate flange / manifold surface machined 100% straight. Add a support bracket from the wastegate pipe to the cyl pipe (we only used 1 but if you want to use more then go for it. Add a piece of stano and weld it in to make the collector area a bit stronger. Chuck away the gaskets and dont use the studs you get with it. Then they are fine. I have HEARD of people buying them and installing them onto 500rwhp cars untouched and still going a year later. if you get a good one and do it right then it can work well. very well. If i could have spent $1000 and got a better manifold. I WOULD HAVE. But this one is working fine now Hope this helps
  13. How is the engine going ?
  14. RB30 uses ONE knock sensor in the middle. BUT they have the provisions for the 2 knock sensor in the standard position from the rb25/26 so they bolt straight in.
  15. You might have to whack her in the back seat... Unless you got a pathfinder then you can chuck the goods up front
  16. try checking the exaust. sometimes it can move when you start the engine and hit the floor of the car or somehwere in the rear. Get someone to put there foot on the exaust when you start (put some pressure on it holding it in place) and see if you still have the problem.
  17. hahahahaa it gets better man =) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=431fCXuUbp8...SKYLINE%20CRASH OMG THERES NO MORE ROAD OMG IM A f**kING YANKIE
  18. How much power do you want to make ? the standards go way over 300rwkw
  19. Hahahhahaaa Love it! =)
  20. Noooo just joking! Go to google and search "kick my dog" Kerpal rocks! =)
  21. Nissan add. Now this one is good. Keep up the good work Nissan

  23. its allways good to have a catch can. its a must have IMHO
  24. RB25 ecu's have a air flow cut not a boost cut. When you hit the cut then you will know it - the whole engine cuts out and it feels like you just slammed the brakes on. Sounds to me by your "missing" is that the boost is putting out the spark. My advise to you would be to gap the spark plugs down to .7 or .8 and try again. You will be suprised =) This is a known issue with slighty modified skylines - even stock ones. Works wonders.
  25. Looks like it.. you can see the spacer plate
