  1. if you got a standard computer then your going to need to change it if you change the injectors.
  2. I heard the greddy plenums dont flow very well and give you less power output so this is a direct copy it would be the same?
  3. Plazmaman Plenums are the best i have seen when looking to purchase a plenum. it works great and looks really good. They make em in some awesome 80tonne press. go to www.gtr.com.au and have a look there (UAS) $1150 They are easy to install and use the stock throttle body (or you get another flange for any other type) and they use the standard gasket and runners. Makes me engine bay look sweet and with the RB30DET i can fit my strut brace =) They have been flow tested and proven to make power as well. DYNO SHEET BELOW SHOWS RESULTS OF THIS PLAZMAMAN PLENUM & INTERCOOLER KIT FITTED TO A SKYLINE R33 GTS-T WITH STANDARD TURBO, STANDARD ECU (WITH FUEL CUT DEFENDER), STANDARD ENGINE INTERNALS, ADJUSTABLE EXHAUST CAM GEAR, RAM POD AND FULL 3" EXHAUST SYSTEM.
  4. I was going to ask this myself. I dont get anywhere near as much as 1 litre but sometimes if i really gas it.. I can get 200mls of oil in the bottle i rigged up. got a oil catch can and im going to run it back to the sump and into the intake as well. Sydkid told me that any high performance engine needs a catch can. I got away with having one till 220rwkw and he said i shoulda needed one for that much power even... So yeah now i got a gt3540 running low boost and it does bow oil when i give it heaps.
  5. I got a RB30DET and im from Newcastle too. The best thing about having the combo is that you can be lazy behind the wheel.. Who needs to change gears when you want to go around round abouts or turn into side streets etc.. just keep it in 5th gear and slow down to 900rpm and drive off with no worries
  6. if any oil DOES carry through it will then go to the turbo (not very likely) is the only disadvantage. But the megga bonus for this setup is that it is completly legal.
  7. would a blow off valve be required for this setup ?
  8. can anyone else shed some light on this ?
  9. i ran a 12.9 with about 210rwkw
  10. Thats what i was thinking. Wouldnt it be more laggy because the air has a longer way to travel ?
  11. Nice... Thats what i wanted to hear =) your using standard manifold though ?? Im using a cheapo stainless steel top mount. Will that make it come on later ?
  12. Ring Anthony at Turbotechnics. Tell him the guy with the burgandy skyline sent you and he will do you a good deal. He has done these before. He is real good with RB's Call Anthony on 49565466
  13. Have upgraded more bits n pieces. Got a Plazmaman Plenum and a 600x300x100 Intercooler Q45 AFM (Huge sucker) GCG said that turbo should come on boost at 3500 rpm - does anyone here have a RB30DET with the GT3540 ?
  14. GOLD... pwned
  15. 300rwhp at 3500rpm is where its at
  16. *looks at crystal ball* mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm 25psi! Yes you can run your generic car at 25psi with those mods with no problems.
  17. You talking about the evo or the RX7 ?? Did you see my burgandy R33 ? it will be finished soon! Whos tuning the car for you ?
  18. MINE does this too.. LOL maybe someone should get off there but and try and sort the problem out *looks around*
  19. Turbotechnics in Cardiff Newcastle specialise in Autronic & there boost controllers. He should be able to sort it out for you. very nice setup - wish i could afford a computer as nice as that =) I got the same turbo as you though but its not polished
  20. I posted something similar to this the other day... We decided that changing the dif to 37 or 39's are the go. I have a RB30DET with a 4:39:1 diff ratio.. Sure its great for smashing commodores on the street but it doesnt do my economy any favours
  21. any idea how much it will cost ??? my first gear is useless tooo !
  22. I have a R33 RB30det with a 4.39:1 dif ratio 5 speed and when driving down the freeway at 110ks an hour its reving at about 3300rpm which is way tooo high. Idealy I would like to change 5th gear ratio to bring the revs down to somethng like 2300rpm at 110ks an hour or even less. The engine is very tourquey at that rpm and should handle it fine. Is it possible to do that ? Or do i spend the money on the diff and change it to a 3.8:1 or 3.9:1 or something to bring the revs down ? the 3 litre would like this anyway..... I have access to a cheap R33 rear end so I could get one changed to a long ratio and keep the 4.4s for racing..... or change 5th gear and have the best of both worlds ? I do lots of freeway driving and would like to bring the fuel consumption down also. Anyone have any ideas how much it will cost to do modifications for those 2 senario's and what would be the best option. No i dont want a 6 speed and I would like to take the car drag racing every now and then. The car will have 300rwkw + once it awakens so once i sort this issue out it should be good. So the question is.. Does the box get a long 5th gear or the diff gets a long ratio or i just keep putting the extra $$$ into the tank for all my long trips.
  23. Craved MSG QIK32 he expressed interest in BOX. - if you guys can come up with some kinda deal to deposit the whole $2850 into my bank account then you can come and pickup the package and split the treasure I can split it and ship it seperatly at buyers costs - so dont be shy come up with a solution PS: I can give you a Autronic SMC for this engine tuned for an extra $1500
  24. Pictures added.
