  1. You might be able to bend the water and oil lines into place also. Cant remember exactly. Shouldnt be tooo much of an issue on a RB25.
  2. There are a few different types of VG30 turbos. Which one is it ? I believe they come out in a smaller version (Twin turbo Z32 version) Big version (Vg30 single turbo) which is the turbo you want to buy Big version with steel rear wheel (You have to be very lucky to score one of these) If you get the first turbo i mentioned it will probably be smaller then the rb25 and only offer you less gains in power and effieciency. If you get the second one then it will be a little better. These turbos are BB so lag is not an issue. (However you will be limited to the 14psi limit) If you get the third turbo then your one lucker motha.... Grab it run 16psi and it will go much better then a RB25 turbo. You will get a little more lag but will probly not even notice it with this turbo. Dont hold your breath trying to find one of these because you just cant Send me a PM and let me know what you go for once you work it all out.. L8r
  3. Howdy Liners We want to install a RB26DET (Big single application) with 110mm throttle body on custom plenum and use a Jetro MAP sensor PFC. The question we have is can we use the RB25 wireing loom OR do we have to get a RB26DETT one ? Will this computer support 700 at wheels ?? What do we have to get to make this application work ? Thanks
  4. hey dude ive used stocko first size over sized ACL bearings and ive had no issues so far... 8000km later and 230rwkw from rb30det and no issues at all. If you want more then 300rwkw i would suggest something more appropriate but 300rwkw is pretty hard anyway. good luck

  12. I have this problem tooo!!! My tacho likes to sit at 8000rpm even at idle!! every now and then it will change to another setting like 3000rpm or 1200rpm... Sometimes you can catch it moving slowly others it goes instantly fast...

Im no expert but why cant you disconnect the air flow meter and put it onto the plenum chamber pipe and then disconnect the wastegate and hold it open somehow (tie wire or cable tie if it dont melt) and disconnect your intercooler pipes so if the turbo does blow shit everywhere just direct it to the bottom of the engine bay or something... Would that work ? Probly not but worth looking into maybe

  15. Nah everyone was OK. this happend at the creek the on a Private day.. I got there just after it happend but I saw it on video.. The car was a mess.. fixable but a mess. the guys just imported the car from the USA and was giving it its first few runs. It blew up on its first NOS run...
  16. I dont believe there is anyway in the PFC Hand Controller to do this. We looked for ages for this option and the only way i could take a certain % of fuel out of the system (50 psi base pressure in fuel) was to go into the INJ map and take out 15 press's on EVERY load point which took me about 2 hours

  18. I had stock rb25det ecu with upgraded turbo stock injectors + intercooler exaust etc. etc... I would hit boost cut on 3psi was interesting to drive i tell ya
  19. my RB30DET ran with the stock rb25det computer. so there must be a problem there dude. Took 2 months for my computer to come so i was running stock computer for a while
  20. This weekend i drove from paramatta to newcastle for $15. which is very good fuel economy. 150+ km (was $1.19c a litre BP ultimate) PFC is the way to go.
  21. I was just croozin today in me 230rwkw R33 and was thinking I am pretty happy with the way she is going at the moment... Even though you would expect a RB30DET to go harder.. its just a real pleassure to drive.... Thinking back a couple of years ago on what I was really wanting out of my car I dunno if i am really there yet as I need bigger injectors and better fuel pump before i can pump more then 10psi boost that im making 230kwkw outta... So are you happy with your car?? what is on the WISH list for the mods you want.. and how much is that going to cost you ?? My wish List is.. 1: Bigger Injectors 2: Bigger Fuel Pump 3: Apexi AVC-R or boost controll kit for PFC or Eboost. Should make more power then.... Probly cost me about $3k...
  22. Yes well 230rwkw is the most i can get with these injectors... They said that my fuel flow was good but pressure drops.. said i might have to hook my fuel pump up to constant power with relay.. does that mean anything to you Sydkid ?? It did make 240rwkw but it was knocking too much.. need to fix the fuel issue before i go chasing more power.
