  2. When you think about all the hours that it takes to do this conversion you might not think 7k is that much of a rip.... He only uses good quality fittings and he drills the head and uses a plug. mods the block to use the standard oil cooler and does not dodge anything up. oh and this was about 2 years ago now He did mine for a good price.. his customer paid the bill and was happy with the result

  5. well considering the engine had to be supplied by customer - and thats what he choose to start off with..... The 7k including head manifolds vg30 turbo rb25 wiring harness all vct setups etc etc engine pulled out built up and installed and tuned... dunno bout the intercooler That doesnt sound too bad does it ?
  6. No 7k was drive in drive out with a $50 wrecker engine without even cracking it open. (developed a engine knock later) I think he supplier head and turbo and manifolds also. it was a NA VL.
  7. Well I was just thinkin bout the cost of my engine rebuild for RB30DET. It did not cost me anywhere near $7,000. Details... Note that everything is pretty much at trade price & mates rates prices. Block $100 RB30E Re-ring kit + bearings + Genuine nissan head gasket $440 Rebuild engine hone block machine crank pins to over size / clean deck block $330 (Mate) Engine Mount $125 Clutch Plate $105 Exaust Manifold Studs $60 Mate at his own workshop to store car and do work after hours after work or weekend, he supplied everything needed from VCT setup to sending head away to be cleaned and reconditioned with new valve stems / competition fittings for sump for VVT oil drain & Turbo oil drain labour to remove engine dismantle and put all back together was only $2900.00 (+ many nights on the piss) So totally cost me abouts $4000. I think I got a great deal from my mate to do the RB30DET Conversion. He basically chucked in a free head rebuild and used new manifold gaskets.. I also put countless hours of work into it doing it with him.. The outcome was awesome but took us 4 months to do.
  8. Famous charged me $1666 a year for my R33 GTST 26 years old in Newcastle. other places were 3 - 5k I pay 183$ a month
  9. my mechanic did a RB30DET for someone and invoice cost was $7000 including head.
  10. are there ways of telling that an engine has been restamped? i heard that changing engine numbers if fraud and you just dont do it. Dont the EPA have a blue light or something that can bring up the original engine number if its been re-stamped? then they bust your arse?

  12. Yep. take your spark plugs out and gap them to .6. That will fix the problem.

  15. running in my rb30det... ohh how i love MY and RB30DET on the same line a bit way too much heheheheee Would labouring the engine to bed the rings in be bad? or good? i hear conflicting storys about this. Im using valvoline running in oil

  17. I am noticing idle issues now to be honest.... with stock rb25det ecu from 95 model auto ecu.... I can imagine how much you r32 dudes will be lovin the rb30det
  18. 370... WOOOOOTTTTTTTT.... are you serious... my mechanics say il run outta injectors at 300rwhp... has anyone here got a rb30det with stock rb25det injectors WITH a dyno sheet?

  20. it idles fine.. seems to miss on idle a little but thats probly just the gap sizes ?? anyway I got the PFC just now how much were the apexi 600cc injectors?
  21. Not a standard turbo though... Probly good that it does that so it can get a good running in while i still wait for nengun to send me my pfc
  22. what max power can you get outta standard rb25det injectors with a rb30det ?

  24. OMG. You guys have no idea how awesome a RB30DET is. i can now drive everywhere in 5th gear unless i go under 30ks an hour.. then i gotta go down to 4th..... I am just stoaked. this thing is unbelievable.
