i can barely fit my finger inbetween the nizmo strut brace and top of the throttle body mount. so its going up 30ml.. its gona be higher then the strut brace?? I really want to keep the strut brace as it makes a huge difference for handling

Mate has a R31 imported passage, has power everything but no engine running gear at all... just rolling shell etc.. needs engine gearbox and dif (rear cradle and discs etc still there so you can push it on a car float) Anyone interested? i should get some photos on the weekend to put up. It has been complianced and registered in Australia I think he would take around $1000ono as it would need to be resprayed

I like nissans too. But i started in a Series 3 Blue bird with a dream of FJ20 got a FJ20 180b SSS with 180rwkw for 4 years and now 2 years in my line. I will never buy anything else and REFUSE to drive a holden. Ohh any my second car is a 84 TI R30 Skyline with IRS L24 EFI (love it Fords are much better then holdens but no way as good as Nissans. Nissan forever and bring on the RB30DET

I am worried that my Nizmo strut brace is not going to fit anymore after the rb30det is installed, so we are going to have to drop the engine. anyone here know how to do this or has done it and has pics or what not ???

My bleed valve is piped into the intercooler pipe. Is that legal?

Friend of mine has a Red Rocker cover RB20 and he wants to buy a Power FC for the car. Would the R32 RB20DET JP Engineering one fit his car ? He says its got a different air flow meter etc etc Anyone have any ideas?

What about the HKS F-Con V computer which is PIGGY back ?

Can someone please confirm that you can close the bonnet on a R33 with the RB30 conversion with standard engine mounts? My mechanic said that it wont close.. Is this true ?

ive got a hybrid turbo allready made up for sale Specs are RX7 hitachi core and rear blade cropped (full steal) Fully machined into a VG30 .71 AR rear housing Fully rebuilt with new oversize bearings T4 6.0 A/R front with waste gate actuator Dump pipe to go with it. Turbo has done 2000k's and only had 10psi run through it. 0412 417 579 gemme a call

Steve: Can you help us with what options need to be changed on the map. do we go up values or down... what do both options do in inj ? how will changing them effect the a/f ratio or tune and drivablilty of the car...

ANY info will do.. we need to read and learn what to do!! I would *LIKE* to create a HOWTO tune PFC.... get some photos and stuff with a guide on what to do... What I will do is borrow my friends Autronic Wide band fuel ratio meter again after I learn more about the PFC and install it and take some photos and chuck em up.... See how we go with people replying. If your interested in this thread then please say you are and tell us what you want to know because chances are others want to know the same thing. spray water inside your turbo.. Ive done this and found that it reduced detonation SHITLOADS.

be carefull because some Series 1's had series 2 engines. (with series 1 turbo series one and a half ive heard UAS call them)

Hi I am sick of my cars fuel economy so I went to see my mate who has a Autronic Wide Band a/f ratio meter to give it a bit of a tune up. Anyway after setting the sensor up etc and we took it for a run we realised we have no idea how this computer works and how to tune the bloody thing. My mate remembers using his sensor on a R31 with a rb25 pfc and he was sitting in the back while someone tuned it, and th guy was blowing up about how time consuming it is to tune. We tried a few things and this is what we worked out ... Go to map tracer, do a boost run or cruze run then find out where on the map you are. Then go into setting and go to the 20X20 map and tune it from there. There is 2 options in there and we had no idea what we were doing is correct or not.. The end result was a little extra power... So does anyone here tune their own PFC or have a guide on how to do it? got any photos on which settings need to be changed for more fuel or less fuel or more timing and less timing ? I dont know much about tuning ecu's but I want to learn.. Anyone else interested in this topic ??? Make it a sticky and lets try and get more knowledge about our skylines so they can be tuned as easily as a Microtech...

in full working order it would probly make 350rwhp on 17psi

With a VL turbo with t4 front wheel on my rb25 i made 213rwkw with a supra intercooler.. upgraded the cooler and upgraded to this turbo for a total cost of $2000 for a front mount and turbo to get around 250rwkw as apposed to spending $3000 on a kit then you still got no intercooler... I just want street performance and a few runs down the strip.. Once i get the motor fixed and get it tuned we will see what she makes...

I dont know what the compressor wheel is the front is a garret t04 6.0A/R it would have a 55mm wheel? 60mm?.. but it looked really big compared to the old rx7 front wheel.... The rx7 rear wheel is massive, compared to the vg30 rear wheel it looks over twice the size... It was also cropped you could easily build this turbo for under $900 post your email adress's i can send photos of the turbo

the water lines fit fine.. the oil in on the turbo needs an adapter put on it that will allow you to use a banjo fitting oil line then it fit without any hassles. after a cooler upgrade and this turbo the car has more power on 5psi then it had on 10psi

Yeah I am using the larger 300zx vg30 rear housing.. but you can use the RB25DET housing if you want. There are 2 types of rb25det housings one is bigger then the other. If you got the big one then it would be good you just got to get it machined out to suit (not 100% sure if the housing is big enough to fit the rx7 rear wheel.) so really this turbo of mine is a 60 front and .84 rear.. i think...

I actually changed the front housing to a T4 60 a/r front with t4 wheel it looks massive. rear is a large 300zx vg30 single turbo housing machined out to suit the rx7 rear wheel. my old turbo was a small vl with a t4 front wheel machined into it and it mate 213 rwkw so im sure this upgrade with the larger rear housing and rear wheel and larger front housing would bag allot more RWKW ???
