Vipec V88 Vs Link G4 Extreme Wire In
Guilt-Toy replied to kitto's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
the output functionality on the vi-pec is very good, much better then the motec imo. and yes you can switch a output when fuel pressure or oil pressure goes below a certain value... that output being a kill switch. motec is a great unit but its not worth being used in the street car market since vipec / link / haltech / adaptronic ecu's have caught up and excelled motec in many ways. -

the extreme can but the storm cannot. with the vipec the v44 and the v88 can. -
Vipec V88 Vs Link G4 Extreme Wire In
Guilt-Toy replied to kitto's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yes i am a Vi-pec dealer. i have tuned shitloads of them. i have also tuned many links. The looms are great. i have never seen the pre-made engine specific looms, only the original generic ones from vipec / link. -
Vipec V88 Vs Link G4 Extreme Wire In
Guilt-Toy replied to kitto's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
they are identical for what we need them for here, but there are differences.. major one being that the vipec v88 supports electric throttle so i can put them on brand new cars. the link does not support this unless you buy an add on or something. another difference is that the vipec will support low impedence injectors because it has peek and hold drivers, the link needs to have a fugly resistor setup. also the vipec is not a re-badged link. the vipec came first. the vipec was made first and then the g4 range re-badged the vipec but with less options. -
Was on the phone to a guy at A&A corvette, complaining about a z06 not making more then 700hp cos the supercharger belt is slipping, as soon as i mentioned my email he asked if i was into skylines, then told me about this 2 r33's in the states are getting crushed because they are not allowed to exist. one is from the fast and the furious. sorry if this is a re-post. its kinda f'd up if you ask me. http://www.autoblog.com/2012/05/29/wisconsin-man-avoids-jail-by-agreeing-to-have-his-nissan-skyline/

Guilt-toy In Georgia (former Soviet Union)
Guilt-Toy replied to Swiper the Fox's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
some updates.... the cops impounded my 350z for a month, because its too loud... its not even that loud... but anyway i should be able to get it back tomorrow (got some connections who can make it happen) so ive had a car impounded in georgia and in the uae now, but it never happened in Australia... lol so its back to dailying the r32 anyway I think i have pretty much taken everyones theory about pump gas and destroyed it... i remember a really well known tuner telling me that you cannot go more then 600hp on pump fuel.... the black nissan patrol is back, and tuned it up again and now on 100% pump gas with no water meth injection or anything its pushing out 1065hp at the wheels on 2 bar, its a very soft tune because the injectors are maxxed out up top hopefully putting a set of id2000's early next month and a water methanol kit and see what happens. sooo yeah... over 1000rwhp whats that.. 1200hp at the engine? with pure pump gas at 45c a litre. cannot believe that shit. if you can tune cars on pump 98 like this why would you ever need race gas? -

nerd.. good work... feels good when you repair something that everyone else would just toss in the bin and waste a good $500 replacing it! -

Guilt-Toy replied to ZachTierney's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
2630 will fit with no modifications to mounts. its the plenum that fowls... so the 26 plenum is good. 25 hits. -
this thread is stupid. i want the last 5 minutes of my life back.

Rb26/30 Will My Standard 33 Bonnet Close
Guilt-Toy replied to ZachTierney's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
in a r33, a 25 head yes... 26 head NO. -
id replace the ecu also.. imagine the timing drift on that! the timing is something you dont want to drift.. believe me.

put some thin mineral oil in it. 40 weight max. see what happens

yeah yeah yeah.. ok ok the cheques are in the mail... lol!! settle down SO I changed the front bumper on the 32 to a gtr one, but it still has the gts carbon bonnet... here is a pic... fail or no fail? its starting to grow on me but it does look a bit off i think.... the weather is starting to get warm now, and the Z don't like the heat very much..... but she is coping... its only 42 every day i don't know what will happen on a 50+ day -
Power Fc Ignition Timing Issue
Guilt-Toy replied to Gojira5767's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
have you got the standard ecu anywhere? try plugging that in and seeing if it starts? does the rpm sit at 6000 with the hand controller as well? it might be a dud ecu. -
sad news. hope all is well soon.
-
sounds like you get alot of *special* customers... lol try a vipec... its very flexible like that.

nice post dude. Something to add to this, and i think it might be case on this guys issue because he said he has a RB25DET motor, not a R33 skyline... So in engine swaps the speedo is rarely hooked up properly, usually because the cars they are going into have a incompatible speedo, or sometimes it is hooked up and the speedo is working, so all is good right??? WRONG... Just because the speedo is working in the dash it does not mean that the ECU has got speed signal, and the ecu gets its speed signal from the back of the speedo!!! like a output to ecu. So if you are to do a RB25DET swap properly you need to use the original cluster, and make sure the speed signal is getting to the speedo correctly and from the speedo to the ECU correctly. Easiest way around this issue is to grab a plugin after market ecu, like a vipec which does not require any of those parameters to be met to enable vct. if you do work out let me know which pin it is on the back of the speedo so i can hook mine up in the r32... too lazy to work it out myself, i dont need it for vct as ive got vct deleted cams, i want it for speed based boost control and slip based traction control cheers

jangles: someone on the same page listen Anthony, its good that a american workshop can get some good results from a RB engine, its not easy to do and thumbs up to you for your good results, even if its 600whp if the engine is staying in one piece well done ! no need to take it to another dyno, I do not need to be proven wrong, the race track will show you who is boss good luck with it. -

I have used all of these dyno's, Dynojet, Mustang, Mainline, Dyno Dynamics and to be honest I don't care about how consistant a dyno is, I rate the dyno's on how they are when you are tuning with them. Does your dynojet that you are using even have eddy current? usually no. I do stick with my statement that the Dynojet is junk compared to the other dyno's (just look at the price of them compared to the others to start with!!!) , the Aussie dyno's are known to be the best in the world but after using the American Mustang dyno I would have to rate them as being the easiest and quickest to get the job done well and fast, some of the massive trucks we have had on it - sooo stable, I used to fly a Dynodynamics flag but after using the mustang ive been converted, they are the best tuning tool. I was simply stating that the power figures are different, yankie power and aussie power is different, just go look on the american forums and look at the WHP figures they claim then see the MPH they are rolling out at the track, what are they doing ? towing 1500lbs of concrete on the back of the car when racing? when a car with the same power on the dyno's we use to gauge and claim the same horse power are rolling out 10mph + more down the track. At the end of the day the best dyno is the big black dyno, the race track! Take this skyline down the track and then compare the MPH to our cars and you will find it will be comparable to 550 - 600rwhp cars on this forum. Thats all I was trying to point out, should have kept my mouth shut it seems there are people on here with a happy trigger waiting to fire whenever I open my mouth. -

dynojet dynos are junk, its well known the power figures are inflated. they read engine hp not whp. "you don't have a dyno" lol we make some of the best dyno's in the world my friend. The best american dyno is a Mustang Dyno.
