  1. $100 extra to go to a decent Nismo setup.... how crazy would you be not to go for that? Does the warranty cover the charge for the new engine components and labour costs and time lost when a engine lets go because of injector failure / issues? or do you just get another set of injectors with a piece of paper that says "im good" and you are left with the same broken engine? *sigh*
  2. at the end of the day... "people" are not you. Your tuner is going to tune what is given to him. Do us all a favour and yourself and give him something decent to work with..
  3. grab a set of Nismo injectors.....
  4. once you understand how important injectors are..... you will rather pay the little extra for the ID's.
  5. search the internet about these injectors. then you will see why no one uses them,.
  6. I highly rate Yavus. the dude is like a scientist.
  7. they ditch the cores because these hitachi cores are not rebuildable. they are bin items. they break you bin them you replace them. good thread btw... was cool looking at destroyed bits
  8. my forged engine is now 5 years old, and 160,000km old with a N1 pump. opened engine to check how things are going, all is good the gears were fine and went back together and put the old N1 pump back in the car. i even got this pump second hand from a guy who scared of it failin... seems to be doing fine for me and i pushing it to 7300rpm and 380rwkw for drifting and ran a 10.8 second quarter with it. there is something else stupid going on with the pumps. btw i allways lock tight the screws on the back plate every time i open it.
  9. Bump - Yes these are the DIS-008 coil packs !!! $300 firm + post is a steal!!!
  10. that ecu is a brick these days, the M4 uses the old dos software and are very outdated. YES you can run the coils in wasted spark and the the ignition in semi sequential, but running 6 x 1600cc indy blue low imp injectors is really pushing it if you ask me. It might work but you will need to pay someone who KNOWS what they are doing with this specific motec to install and it and try it, and then if it dont work you need to remove it all and then go back to where you started from. My opinion for you is to sell that ecu to someone else more suited to their application and buy a plug in ecu, Vipec or Haltech and get the job done properly. Also try and avoid using those injectors, they are not the best, grab some ID1000 injectors - they are great. cheers
  11. they are only 6 months old, and the neo engine they were in broke so we put a r33 engine in the car so these were not needed. they are in very good condition, just have a little grease on them which is normal. here is a pic i just took. cheers

  17. to run a 10 in a full weight gtst, you will need good tyres, try aim for something better then ET street radials because they wont cut it, about 375rwkw, a good clutch and also a decent launch control and ecu with a tuner who can sit with you at the track and play with boost control trim on gears, boost control trim on wheel spin, and ignition timing retard on wheelspin, and also the launch control must not spool too much boost off the mark. you need a 1.6 or lower 60 foot before you will grab it also. Its not easy to do on a full weight street car, but i never gave up until i cracked it, i ran 10.80 @ 135mph before i gave up. if you want to run the 10 you need to put in some hard work!
  18. yeah about that.. what is the go? i cannot understand it?
  19. i am back in Australia! and wow that 14 hour flight was hard.... damn
