I am going to backpedal my last comment. How the hell can you get away with writing shit like that on public forum about a ECU like Haltech? Their old 90's tech ecu's might have been crap, sure but they worked and performed well with the competition at the time. How is it haltech's fault that you are too cheap to buy a up to date ecu to run your late model engines? then go and ask them for help with something they probably know has issues and cannot and will not fix because there is a whole new range of ecu's available designed to fix the previous issues? The new haltech's are great, sure I am biased towards the Vipec and will use one before a Haltech any day of the week but when i do use the haltechs they do the job very well. Give the guys a break, there are plenty of worse ecu's out there if your going to give them slack at least make it about something worth while with their latest products at least then they will make a effort to fix it ?? sorry for the rant but Haltech have come a real long way, Just like when the Vipec / G4 came to Link... Every company moves forwards to bigger and better things.

Nissan TB48, forged internals only, Vipec v88 ecu. COMPLETLY stock head which as pretty much the same VCT as an RB25DET! stock cams springs everything. 2 bar boost. its got a borg warner turbo of some sort. I managed a max 794rwhp the power figure shown was toned a little for street use. Crazy customer... I call him "Mr crazy" in arabic -
leave it alone. the apexi power fc for RB26 or RB25 was never designed to pickup knock for a RB30DET.

damn.. i usually enjoy his updates and posts -
wow wee!!! you seriously saying they are up to that kinda shit there? its really that bad???? I would have fun with these guys... Id just chip tune the stock ecu and not even use a socket, put it directly on the board... what a way to get pulled over... "excuse me sir, is this a 16 or 32 bit eprom?" AHA! thats a writable eprom, here is a 1000$ fine buddy. create something that goes through the dummy AFM, so when its unplugged the engine loses ignition power. WTF!!!

Haltech Platinum Pro Vs Vipec Plugin R34Gtr
Guilt-Toy replied to sinistaGTR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
what are you going on about ? The vipec runs sequential fuel, and uses wasted spark, the vipec has more bells and whistles then the haltech really. The Vi-pec support comming out of LINK NZ is very good. whenever I need anything I just give them a message or call on Skype and we are all sorted, we don't have to bother picking up the phone anymore? where else can you get that kinda support? things have changed in the vipec world, BUT it still is the premium product and has more to offer then the link does. The Link G4 is just a badged Vipec, if it were the other way around where is the Vipec G2 G3 's ? there are none. The VIPEC came and then link made it available. -

Haltech Platinum Pro Vs Vipec Plugin R34Gtr
Guilt-Toy replied to sinistaGTR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
wasted smaeshted spark. ive tuned 900hp 6 cyl 6's with wasted spark, passed cars in botany with the IM240 emissions test with them also. even tested wasted setup's with non wasted setup's back to back on same car, car did not even leave the dyno. grab the vipec and you will never look back. just make sure you have a good set of coils. (splitfires would do you nice) -
Haltech Platinum Pro Vs Vipec Plugin R34Gtr

I am a vipec dealer so I am going to tell you to get one, they are the best. But... if you do decide on the haltech it will not be so bad for you. -
i ordered the Driftworks ones, and i asked them to supply them for the R32 GTST. so lets see how it goes when i call them in the morning. Parts on order are Cusco rear upper control arms diftworks rear lower driftworks front upper driftworks front lower other stuff for car ordered or already here carbon fibre bonnet valve springs drift hydo hand brake and master cyl steering spacers (looking for a set of coil overs) and the reason why i want them is because i want to setup some sexy camber on the car, make it look like the goods when sliding at the F1 race track here in Abu Dhabi thanks for your help guys. hope it works out So next question is... what about the setup... for drifting.. how is the best setup going to be for traction in front and and rear (or lack of??)... im a NOOB drifter but would like that to change hence the work done on this car so far... Everyone is different and i know you have to try different setups... but anything you guys have for me to read or from personal experiences id be happy to see!

ID injectors, the best high imp injectors on the market. (IMO no flaming please) How did you wire these babys up? Just wondering.. but.... You just installed them in the stockers place right? Do me a favour, measure the resistance across the stock GTR injector you took out and then those ID injectors you put in. Can you see a problem there?

tuned the fully sick fast and furious supra today, ran outta injectors at 500rwhp on 20psi... going to do a full works hypertune manifold / throttle setup and fuel rail with ID2000's -
when was the last time you changed the fuel filter?
-
the throttle body is not the issue, its the cutting and shutting of the manifold which will destroy the flow of the intake manifold and cause you engine problems later on. get a decent intake manifold, even the china greedy copy is better then a cut and shut job

some exciting news for me today, kinda really pleased with this achievement... We have a 2012 model nissan patrol in the shop atm, its got a VK56DE engine, its here for a Vi-Pec and full turbo kit. I managed to start the car today, and get everything working, e-throttle is working fine but i need to work on the setup on it a bit more, now doing some final wiring for the complete install and then we will tune it NA before building the turbo kit. This engine sounds great! really nice v8 sound... Also some pics i took at the shop today. The 2 GTR's are the ones we are doing the turbo kits for, the 2 supra's are here for Vipec V88's and there is a few corvette's in the shop atm also. enjoy -
nice. thanks. I aint going to waste my time with the S ones then. going to buy the R32 ones from drift works. its the only correct way right ??

If i get stock S14 lower control arms for the front will it gain camber automatically because they are longer i have issues with the wheels fitting in gaurds i need to move them out a little bit? If i buy the adjustable control arms from say driftworks or megan racing, should i get the S14 ones? or get the S13 ones? because they are both adjustable anyway?? you said also "quote" "On the front, s13, 14, 15, r33, r34gtst LCA's all fit," You did not mention R32 here, I have a R32 !! i want to put the adjustable lower arms on the R32 skyline but I only have options to buy for S13 and S14 from our supplier. will the S13 and S14 FRONT LCA's fit on my R32 ?? and which one is the best to buy? This http://www.meganracing.com/product_detail.asp?prodid=807&catid=26 or http://www.meganracing.com/product_detail.asp?prodid=815&catid=26 cheers

Hey everyone. Here is a really good article of our shop, it was made by a English guy who lives and writes 4x4 articles in Russia. It is a really good read, I am sure you will all like it. Just to give you guys an idea of the standard work that rolls in and out every day is not anything I ever would have imagined doing 5 years ago, and what really scares me is that it just keeps moving forward and we are just getting more and more work every day.
