  1. and to make things worse, i just sold another v88 yesterday... so now we have 3 2jz supra's in our shop's getting Vipec V88's installed. The adaptronic is a good bit of gear. I put it in the car for testing only, and a quick tune but had to remove it because the car came in for a Motec m600 not a adaptronic. anyway the Adaptronic ran the engine just as good as the motec and I spent more time with the motec on the final tune then i needed with the adaptronic. the thing i really enjoyed about the adaptronic was when I had any questions or anything, Andy was there and was keen to change and mix and match things in the software / firmware to get what we needed, I was amazed... it must be the back end of how that ecu is made because he was able to make instant changes with good results on the FLY. it is a ecu that will go places, I am sure of it!
  2. I am looking to fit out my r32 with some gear, keen to get top and lower front control arms, and rear control arms. my question is, what fits R32 and what not? I have a GTR rear end in mine, but i am using the GTS lower control arms on the rear. Some sites say the R32 and S13 are the same on rear, some don't. Some say the fronts are same also. confused as hell, driftworks mensions 240sx etc etc someone help me out here, can i just put the S13 lower front control arms on and z32 / r32 upper ones, then the S13 rear lower and uppers as well as traction rods?? and what about the tie rod ends? which ones can i use? any info would be good. cheers
  3. went away for 3 days, trip to Qatar and also the Metallica concert at Yas island, get back and there is this pile up waiting for me... thought it was interesting.
  4. does the ecu get the speed signal from the speedo and the speedo get the signal from gearbox? thought it would be the other way around? anyone know the pin outs? need to get it working on the r32
  5. i have an idea.. and it happened to me before.... crank bolts DONT come lose on their own. just make sure you send me the pics before you put it back together. pm me if i dont see them straight away.
  6. far out man, talking about scaring the crap out of him. its not all that bad. he can start chipping it with a stock eprom and get a few revisions to get the car running good. poor dude, probly took a hammer to the chip by now lol

  9. the 1fz is much worse then the jz
  10. hehe.. the engine is long.. but they are not very wide... so i am thinking yes
  11. i do tune alot of toyota's now, my favorite are the 1fz 4.5 litre 6 cyl's. put some gear inside them then put a gt45 on it and your up to 800hp at the wheels at 6300rpm max and a happy customer. the 2jz's are easy to tune, they are such a basic motor, i notice that they just don't respond to boost and tuning as much as RB does, it seems like this engine needs to be punished and treated badly just to get anywhere with them and they are lazy revving engines, but they work and I sure I do like them for what they are. The Toyota 5.7 litre quad cam v8 is a nice engine, here they come in the Lexus LX 570 and the new Toyota Land cruisers, we do supercharger kits for them and I tune with Unichip, they sounds nice and drive good... they are really nice. I don't do any 1j's or anything but I do tune some of the older toyota v8's with motecs or autronics on them, NA they are really shit house but they do the job.
  12. I can do you some remote mail tunes... il help you out with the hardware you need to buy so you can re-burn the chip everytime i modify the bin file. just need to go to a dyno and mail me the logs, il send you the revisions within 5 minutes to re-try. 2 hours of dyno time should do the trick pm me if you are interested.
  13. Because Guilt-Toy would put a Toyota engine inside a Skyline???. damn man give me some credit. But.. Maybe I will drop in a twin rb25 turbo RB2630 into it.
  14. they climbed from behind, thats actually a fence they made for the event, public road. its made of lots of big stones stuck together. and this car has taken a turn the the worst now... its been ouside in the sand and heat and paint is stuffed and has no engine or running gear at all. so it needs attention.
  15. "Drift Stance" This is the stance, the tough bad ass look of you're 500rwhp Skyline drifting infront of a whole country who never knew what it looked like untill you came along. Hated by many, but when I think about it now they just never understood me, and probably never will. Long live the dream of tuning and drifting
  16. here is a video from about 2 months ago at the last drift event. I love this car.
  17. i got 4 years out of mine.. as long as you brace them and dont hang the exhaust on them they work quite good... I ran a 10 on mine. only going to make a new one now because the exhaust was hung on it and it cracked again and we can just remake one at the shop in 2 days.
  18. you might be lucky. whack the old one back on and check
  19. how do you know the vct is not working?

  21. Updates... fun So the 35 GTR has been plotting away, I been soo busy it seems that I just blinked and the thing is making soo much progress... This whole kit was made inhouse, nothing is imported its all made from pipes, we even make the flanges from big chunks of metal for everything. Turbos are GTX30's and it will be a 4.2 stroker kit, we just recieved the built transmission from the states also. enjoy
  22. yeah the 4.5 litre land cruiser with gt45 on c16 made me smile when it cracked 800rwhp today, now days my cars are just... soft.
