  1. Hey. Everything is working as it should with this ecu in RB25DET, it has been modified internally to suit. It even supports VCT as normal and it is fully tunable. At the moment the ecu just has a base map inside it with Rich and retard and air flow cut removed, and speed limiter removed. I am going to be tuning a series 2 with a 044 pump fmic and kkr480 turbo and full exhaust this week so I could put this tune inside the ecu for you if you wish. It is recomended that you get the car fully dyno tuned when you buy this ecu, its fully programable so it will do the same job as a power fc or a ECU with nistune. Not interesed in swaps sorry cheers
  2. I got a Z32 ecu that has had the internal modifications done and chipped to suit a RB25DET - Series 1 or 2 This ecu only requires 1 harness modification to your loom, it also has a chip with a transfered RB25 map. This ecu can be chip tuned by your tuner or you can install a type 2 nistune board inside it. ECU includes EPROM that can be written / erased unlimted times - you can re-tune this ecu as many times as you need when you mod the car, unlike the R33 remaps where a new chip needs to be purchased Tested working - selling for $400 Can post only, price includes post.
  3. you have a toughbook! you lucky man.... how good are they! my dell c400 does me fine for now.
  4. mate you need a decent tune on this car. tuner needs to set ignition timing correctly and also needs map the power fc correctly. You think you know how to set ignition timing but on skylines nothing is "generic" especially setting the timing. when i tune power fc's i like to try to keep the injector correction at 100% and tune the map accordingly. this is the correct way of doing things. are there no good tuners there who can do this for you? I could offer you a remote tune for a price. all you need is a internet connection (3g pref) datalogit and a decent wideband that has 0-5v output. If you need to you can hire a dyno and i can tune it over internet for you. be VERY carefull how you continue with this car, because there is a big chance things can go south if you make the wrong call. cheers
  5. you need to ask your tuner about the condition of the tune. the car did not come with a top mount turbo so you need to make sure your wires are out of the way of the heat as much as possible. mine melted with my rb30, causes a big short that ended in smoking wires and 4 blown fuses. some pics would be nice.
  6. i have had a cheap cam gear on my car for the last 4 years. only problem was with the bolts - they just needed to be replaced.
  7. Hey Guys AS most should know I am in Eastern Europe atm, I have a client who wish's to buy a R34 GTR. He is not sure to get a V-spec or a standard one, or one thats slightly modded. What he does want it a fine example of the car for a good base model to modify later on OR have some "tastefull" mods allready on the car done the right way. Would be good to know when it comes to 34 gtr's the average mileage on engine, how when is best to buy ? which models to avoid or which ones to seek? Any info would be appreciated, we have many means of importing the car here so thats not a issue, even a private sale could wok for us. The Client will be registering on the forums and im sure he will have many questions ! So any ideas ? Thanks guys Anthony
  8. microtech right??? Wrong.
  9. info on turbino please
  10. mapping the car was a mistake. why map a a car with a boost leak? the turbo is obviouly running flat out to try and keep the boost up as well. then once he fix's the boost leak, usually the owners dont change any mapping or even get the car looked at... whats going to happen to the engine then ? you should get the boost leak fixed then get toshi to check his tune. IMO
  11. R33 GTST 11.1 @ 131mph
  12. the horn here is used more then the brakes. for me it sounds like "beep beep beeeeeppppp" = "i am a idiot" beeping the horn does nothing but make noise. but its used toooo much i actually went for 1 year before installing a horn in my car
  13. actually its very very hard. I need to change my licence... I have been trying to learn and take the english translated test. Impossible. The questions are pretty much riddles with incorrect questions and answers. There was one question asking to choose multiple choice between 1 and 2, i selected 2 but it said I selected wrong answer... answer was actually 3... but there was no mention of 3 anywhere on the screen! Here are some pics.. This one is the one that said answer was 3 when there was no 3 options you can see the Georgian language up the top it says "incorrect answer, the right answer is 3" Itook this test 50 times and failed every time. The questions are just incomplete puzzles and i figured there is no point to do the test. The biggest problem is because this is corrupt country, everyone got their drivers licence by walking into the police department and ofering $50 which pretty much got you your full licence on the spot. Parents wold go in there and get drivers licences for their kids 14 years old because they got a car for 13th 14th birthday and the drivers licence comes with the car so the can drive it. It has changed now and its harder to get drivers licence but the drivers on the road are driving in a manner of danger every time they start their cars,
  14. Please do not give me any ideas.... and this one is a BAD one
  15. 190ish rwkw is the normal kw to expect from your car. 220 seems a bit tooo much. forget the number. its about how the car drives.
  16. who knows what they put in there, but there is one fuel station that sells good fuel here, and it has a very very very strong smell.. even stronger then race fuels i have seen.. do not know what additives they are putting inside it.
  17. you cannot compare australian roads to the roads here. You aussies have no idea how good you got it back home.. i cannot wait to get back home! Everything in Australia is perfect and organised. Including the roads. That today tonight thing, man they broke cheap rims made in china. thats even happened to me before. We drive on right hand side of the road and there is no restrictions on driving right or left hand drive cars so whatever goes.. its just a little hard when trying to overtake and when merging onto different roads but my driving skills are sooo much better then everyone here its pretty easy to get used to. When i mean bad drivers, they do not even look when they change lanes. they just pull out next to you and you must move over, if there is no room to move over you have 3 choices. 1: hit him 2: hit whatever it is on the side of the road, (tree car or person) 3: hit the skids and hope for the best and beep horn at him. Usually you can beep your horn as you see him merging over and he will look then swerve back into his lane, that system actually works. (option 3) Has taken me quite some time to get used to driving like they do, i feel really bad everytime i cut someone off, but it comes in handy when your in a hurry. even if there is a car comming down the road at 100, you can pull out infront of them and its just normal driving here! its just amazing. I swear, 10 NSW high way patrol units enforcing aussie law in this country with aussie sized $ fines would fix this problem QUICK smart. Hate to say this, but NSW police are champions and they do their job for a reason. If they did not do their job the place would end up like this country and really its not safe.
  18. where i am there is no liablility. so the guys working / own the fuel stations can chuck in 100 litres of water into the 98 octane tank to make some extra bucks blow up 200 cars and get away with it without having to pay a cent! if you asked for money they would just laugh at you. I get soo paranoid that I listen to my engine with k-mon when i change fuel stations just in case they are doing the dodge.
  19. this rb25 has a very big turbo and stock head. it does not make decent power untill around 6k. thats why its like that. to keep it cool when its on heat. Yes because your $300 wide band is just as good as the Autronic Wide Bands they use on Dyno's. That makes this test very accurate and relevant.
  20. hey yeah we are simply going to remove the old r32 gtr clutch and install the r34 gtr clutch. both of them are pull types. still cannot get a clear answer.
  21. It can change slightly from downpipe to tailpipe. Here is a dyno sheet of a car i tuned here, because this car was from a different country and their fuel is not as good as ours I richend it up on the top end. (different altitude also) the higher you go the richer you go, so at home his car is running around 11afr You can actually see the power raise start to drop exactly where the AFR richens up .5 or less of a AFR I have a saying, Keep em rich keep em cool. A cool engine is not going to melt unless something is very very wrong. "skyline owners so cheap because they would rather run 12's to save fuel" what a ridiculous statement. 1 afr on boost will make no difference in fuel economy. Do you drive wide open throttle to work in the morning? if so I hope you don't live near my family.
  22. I have run cars up on the dyno that have showed 10.5 afr's during tuning and have not had misfire or any problems with the run. You can run them that rich. As for feeding timing into a engine that is running mid 10 afr's I have not done this yet. Never needed to. On my own car I run 11.1 afr atm and seems to be making healthy power with moderate ignition timing, its not advanced i just like to run my engine that way for insurance. as a rule for customers cars i never go over 12 unless its a stockish car running low boost, then it will see 12.2 12.3....... also if they are using really rich mixtures for a band aid for exhaust temp, who says the timing is too advanced? remember retarded ignition advance causes higher exhaust temp compared to a advanced tune. Maybe they are chucking in a stupid amount of boost and running the timing very retarted and using the fuel to cool it down? I would like to see some power fc maps of highly tuned cars to look into this further.... What the japs are really doing? we do not know... I would love to go there personally to check it out.
  23. He has a point, most cars you see running in videos in Japan blow 10afr worth of smoke and they all seem to be traveling at a great amount of knots. (correct me if i am wrong with this please) But what we do not know or see is how how many engine failures they have there. Engines can be purchased aplenty to be replaced when one lets go, why not tune it on the ragged edge and feed lots of timing into it if its not going to send you bankrupt if you blow a engine or 2 while you are chasing that quarter mile target ?? can just imagine going through Maccas Drive through there, would you like a rb25 with your order? lol
