  1. lol.. you guys have no idea what bad roads are.. OR what pot holes are... I was driving my car down a road in the rain and saw this trench, was doing 70km/h.... This trench was dug to lay pipes or something when the day finished the workers just called it a day and went home leaving it open. It went from one side of the road to the other, there was no way of going around it. It was about 1 foot long x 2 foot deep. Locked it up and the poor 33 copped it so hard me and my girlfriend hit our heads on roof pretty hard it nearly knocked us out. While i was stopped inspecting damage all i could hear was other cars take on the trench BANG BANG... BANG BANG..... it was a sight to see i tell you. damage was blown tyre, front bumper totally ripped off dented rim (was repairable) and the part that the caster rods connect to was pushed up and damaged. Funny thing is there is no liability here, so there is no point to even think about complaining and asking for money for repairs! they would just laugh at you. Thats not the biggest killer, the man holes are. 5% of man holes here are open, no covers. apparently when you drive into them it rips your suspension out. Next time you drive on paramatta road or you hit a small pot hole.. think about how much worse it could be...
  2. Just a quick question, will a R34 GTR clutch fit into a late model R32 GTR that has a pull type clutch? Just need to be sure before we buy one. Cheers
  3. you must stick with the stock air flow meter with the R33 ecu. you can get the ecu modified and remapped but that will cost the same as 3 or 4 z32 afm's and you will have no gain in power. Here's an idea. Take your money flush it down the toilet and post it on youtube. More value for money that way.
  4. I mean that it does not work 100% of the time when your loading one map from one Apexi Power FC to another Apexi Power FC using Datalogit. (if you were to test another unit borrowed from a friend or something) If you tuned both maps on the same power fc then it works 100%, its when moving a map to another computer that could give you issues. get me? When i found the issue even cruise was not right, but if i re-tuned that actual computer everything would work fine... Weird huh? So yeah loading maps to the same ecu you tuned it with is fine. Sure shoot me a PM. I am a Vipec dealer now so try not to ask me if you "should" change over because you know what the answer would be PS do not mention the V word around Yavus =) he is more of a A man ! hahahahaa
  5. Yup. Hate to say it, but you are screwed. If Yavus cannot figure it out posting about the issue on the forums is a waste of time as well as taking it to any other tuners. Have no other suggestions for you but to try another ECU. Problem with that is that even if you have datalogit saving and re-loading the tune from Power FC to Power FC does not work 100% of the time. I have owned 3 power FC's at the same time when I was playing with my car before i left Australia and I have witnessed this first hand (Long story it was during my transition to Vipec) Good luck with it, keep me posted if you can I am interested in the outcome.
  6. going to the basic 101 faq here will not help in this case. Not a chance. Just wondering, when you said the voltage goes up heaps, what voltage are you talking about ? AFM ? have you tried to swap the PFC out with another unit ? have you tried using a R33 rb25 pfc?
  7. When a tuner like Trent offers you some advice like this I suggest you take it on board and actually try it. Do not know who your tuner is but you cannot argue with experience. If he thinks there is alot of missing power I am sure he would be willing to look outside the box... Right? Ask your tuner to re-check your ignition timing... and when he is doing it take notice if he actually takes the "Nissan" coil pack cover off the engine or not... Report back with the results, Please. If not.. Take it to Yavus at Unigroup Engineering. Problem solved.
  8. try a 4 cyl forums. they usually jump the gun and buy the big housing and regret it later and want to swap. I swapped mine with a guy who had a EVO.
  9. i thought its normal for them to smoke when they are hot, especially when new! its when they catch fire when you need to worry.
  10. depends how good the ecu is. I have tuned many cars with them removed. Just forget about air conditioning and everything should be fine.
  11. however long it takes. something that good is worth waiting for even if it is late.
  12. in NSW you can put any engine in any car, the problem is that you have to pass the emissions test for whatever is the latest model. example, if you have a datsun 1600, 1970's and you put a 2008 model R35 GTR engine you will need to pass emissions for 2008 standard. If you put a old pushrod 1980 engine in a 1995 skyline you will need to pass emissions for the 1995 skyline, and doing that with a 1980 pushrod engine will be a big mission. Speak to your engine before you take any of this as gospel, I could be wrong but this is what i was told.
  13. leave it at 12. the extra power you would gain would not be worth the benifits of running it a little richer. you should not have to touch the low throttle stuff, if you leave it at 0 the car will run like standard
  14. i think the thinkness he mentioned 8mm is too thick, maybe he meassured both disc's as there are 2 on each clutch plate right? do you have any there you can measure dan? if you have the time. cheers
  15. as trent said.. they belong in the sin bin.
  16. check that the exhaust is not rubbing against any part of the car. this causes a vibration that is hard to find.. believe me i speak from personal experience.. I had wheels aligned, balanced even rebuilt the tail shaft... no change.... found the exhaust was not hanging properly fixed it and problem is gone!
  17. I was after exactly the info Kudos send me. Thanks for replying anyway.
  18. can someone help me out on this one? need to get some disc's made to go on the stock clutch plate cheers
  19. Read my e85 thread. answer is in there many times... But because i am a nice guy... "NO YOU DO NOT NEED TO CHANGE THE FUEL LINES IN A SKYLINE TO RUN E85" is that clear enough ?
  20. still need!!
