sometimes welding with the battery connected can damage the alarm / immob and cause issues like this
-
Would like some info in this.. possibly a pm to me would be real nice if you have the time? I suspect mine is leaking.. How do you know if yours has the soft spring or the other one? how do you have it hooked up? do you have both lines connected or just the one? ive played around with mine for ages....

Good advice there. Nistune is readily available for Rrb25. NOT
-
if he is getting good support from the manufacturer then he will have the software and any decent tuner will be able to nut it out if he could be bothered.
-

Plenum Gasket "lifted" By A Few Mm
Guilt-Toy replied to joeyjoejoejuniorshabadoo's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
REMEMBER. There are 2 types of gaskets on the R33 skyline. One is completly all rubber and the other is rubber with metal bracing on the insides to keep its shape. 100% of the time i have seen the the complete rubber ones have leaked and caused ALL kinds of issue. Do not start this job untill you get the gasket that has metal inside to keep its shape. If you can bend the gasket """" IT IS THE WRONG ONE """" And to rest your mind about the leaking issue (tuning).. when they leak from there the plenum will SCREAM "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" very high pitched sound. (personal experience - hence the 2 types of gasket comment) -
don't these things only use 2 injector drivers? so you are squirting fuel into closed valves?
-
can you hear the exhaust leaking anywhere? or are you just guessing its a hot side leak? Hot side leak means it leaking after the engine on the exhaust side so you should be able to hear the leak. to me it sounds like there is a leak on the cold side / intercooler pipes etc etc

I allways used ryco filters, last time over here i had to buy some cheap brand from the sphincter of the universe or something and have no issues. who cares what knock the knock sensors are picking up on startup, i would be worried about 90 knock at 5000rpm with 20psi boost more then a knock on start up??? wtf

its not a filter.. it just stops pulsing in the line to give whatever it is a good reading.... You see this alot on jap BOV's and even map sensors that have issues with pulsing on the line. Don't re-connect it unless you know what you are doing

If i could i would... They do not even know how to kill a cow here... Cannot get snags or decently prepared meat.... If i buy beef and try to BBQ / Cook it... when its finished its as hard as big piece of leather... I think it has something to do with the way they are growing / killing the cows here.. They leave them till they are very old or something... and kill them a different way i just dont know.. But its just impossible to make a aussie style BBQ here.. If i want aussie style bbq then i will need to find out how they are preparing the meat back home and then go see a farmer and ask him to do it the same way and then il probly have to buy a whole cow for myself etc etc.... hmmmm might be worth it you know! lol any butchers on the forums? im sure they would know what the go is... over here you dont need any qualifications to do any kind of trade so anyone can be anything they want legally so it kinda kills the quality of things if you get what i mean..... So yeah... would love to see some pics I will share em with my friends here.... -
