  1. let me guess, all these mods without a decent oil catch can setup?
  2. yes that plenum design is rubbish. its obvious cyl 4 is not getting as much air flow as the rest of the cyl. what ecu are you running? you are describing microtech to me =) btw, how do you keep the ass end together with all that power in a blue bird?
  3. at least 1000cc injectors will be needed... 1200 would be good
  4. i use it also. very good.
  5. Yeah I will give it a go, its expensive oil the Nismo stuff... will see how it goes. I will go back to Motul next year as I wont be buying Nismo
  6. the local distributor closed down trying to dodge tax... so i will give the nismo oil a try... it costs twice as much as 300v does
  7. chain it to the hook on the intake side of the head at the front and on the right exhaust side on the rear, use a chain. harmonic balancer should stay on as well, just make sure everything is disconnected - completly remove the whole wire harness from the engine and put it on the windscreen
  8. has anyone used the Nismo Verspeed 5w40 ? I have been using 300v all this time but over in this country its harder to get Motul... and I won 5 litres of Nismo at the drag racing comp here. i am a bit worried to change the oil because 300v has been really good for me so far
  9. remove the engine and gearbox out at the same time. you may need to lift the front of the car up a bit to get it out correctly depending how low the car is. remember to drain the gearbox oil
  10. you will need to re-tune the car. where are you located? i can suggest a tuner with E85 experience
  11. There is now some competition in the family... Like the old times =)
  12. tip. unplug the ecu from the loom, and then put it back in but this time make sure the plug is sitting all the way into the ecu. screw the 10ml bolt a few times and press both sides of the plug and keep doing this untill its in correctly.
  13. no idea! But will be very interested in what you find with the NA engines and E85
  14. i have the air temp sensor between the intercooler and throttle body so it measures the air going into the throttle body. the other day when i started the car it was at 0deg and after warming the car up it went up to 2 deg. it is cold here as for your cars in the heat, just dont thrash it for extended periods of time. give it a squirt every now and then but then also give it some time to cool down a bit and it should be fine.
  15. Looking at the results of this thread has got me pretty excited and pretty bummed out at the same time. Bummed out because I do not have access to any ethanol in this country (if you have kept up with my current adventure you would understand) .. Excited because I can see all the testing and time I have invested in e85 last year is paying off, there seems to be a big e85 trend going on since I stuck my neck out and tested this stuff in my car, Just search for E85 on google.com.au and you will see how many other forums are linked to us here at SAU. Looking at the results from Trent @ Status Tuning - URAS has backed up everything that I have found on my initial testing of the fuel. I found a 40 - 50 rwkw increase with my setup but I was using a bigger turbo charger so you cannot compare them with this setup 100% but it does show that when you have a experienced tuner working with this fuel you can see major gains with no other modifcations as long as the fuel system is up to the task then you will have gains all across the board. It is good to see that you guys are still working on this boost juice, without the support of tuners like Trent and enthusiasts like Joe Joe, Nytsky and Now the all famous Dirtgarage (AKA Twoogle and Mark Jacobson @ Godzilla and a few others like Yavus @ Unigroup Engineering and even JEM) it really puts SAU first in line in Australia for for this remarkable race gas in a pump for only 0.99c a litre. So yeah, I am sure I do not only speak for myself when this warm fuzzy feeling of E85 love gets its share of internet hits... Its because of tuners and and enthusiasts like us who make it happen. Keep up the good work! Someone needs to try and and push a complete stock RB25DET to as much power as possible with this fuel... are you up for the mission Trent? Can anyone say 400rwkw ?
  16. has anyone used e85 on a NA engine without bumping up the compression? how would it work? any ideas?
  17. Stock internals with 320rwkw, you would think this push's the limit a bit, but the more I think about it it... You can make big power with engines but there is no head room if anything were to go wrong and the engine not blasting itself to pieces.. So a good e85 tune will never see detonation. I would be interested in seeing this engine being pushed to 400rwkw with e85... as long as the rod bolts hold up it should be good
  18. nice results mate! Congrats!!!!!
  19. the fact that you are asking about this issue tells us that you should go and see a professional to get it sorted. call Yavus at Unigroup Engineering, www.unigroup.com.au He will be able to give you before and after dyno tests so you know the difference in performance.
  20. every car is different. needs to be done on a dyno for best results. my engine made the most power in 0, any change and it lost power.
  21. what the dirty shirty said
  22. you have not bleed the cooling system correctly. you should fix this ASAP before you damage your engine. If you are unsure how to do this, take your car to a mechanic who knows how to bleed skylines and get it done properly.
  23. Gizzmo Kmon - great tool http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Gi...tml&hl=kmon Video of me using one
