  1. The Shirt man just needs to work on the launch's more. a year off the track and then back to it with a completly different setup will do this too you.
  2. I know someone who will swap your skyline for a vl commodore. its fully sick dose
  3. i have one in newcastle, it has a cannon as well and decat pipe. you can have it for $150
  4. i have stock cams so i am at the max power my head can flow at the moment, changing the fuel will not make a difference untill i get cams and valve springs. I aint interested in upgrading the injectors, the nismo's drive great and there is no need to upgrade them. this is a every day car and i am not going to go to big un controlable injectors just for the sake of chasing silly high dyno numbers. I just want a 10 second quarter and i can achieve that on pump 98, i will go back to e85 once i get that over and done with and put the smaller streetable turbo on.
  5. yeah 740cc is not big enough to make 380kw at wheels on e85 like i could get with pump gas. So yeah. i am not upgrading injectors. no way. but i will chuck on the smaller turbo later on and then go back to e85. anything over 350rwkw on the street is a waste anyway. i just want to run my 10 on pump first.
  6. Yes. 300v comp will be fine. great choice in oil. i swear by the stuff. if you ask me the only reason why my car is still going after the thrashings i give it is because i use 300v competition.
  7. Yeah mate, should have come say hello.. Look here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Gu...66#entry4504666 results there (was not running e85, i cannot get enough power with it with my 740cc injectors so i am back on pump gas)
  8. the ecu writes the changes to memory after you switch off the ignition. there is a relay that keeps power to the ecu for a second or so after the ignition is switched off. you need to set this up correctly.
  9. look at the power fc faq. you have not installed the power fc / loom correctly
  10. plug for clutch pedal switch
  11. i ran a walbro as a pickup pump to the 044 and i never had any dramas with it
  12. no... i need a plug for clutch
  13. my 60 foot was 1.73 on the 11.11 run benm. I did a bigger burnout that time so i think tyres will help heaps. I also noticed that the car drops out of boost on every gear change it takes a little time for power to come back up again. So i am going to get this big greddy BOV that i have put on this week if t04 dave can help out and try again. i have also ran 131 mph before.. so yeah lets see what happens next time. I think the launch control is setup right now.
  14. I am stoaked!! Ran this with a full exhaust. Cannot wait to get some decent tyres and change the suspension and go back! After this run I drove the car back to Newcastle and it only used a quarter of a tank in 150ks lol Benm was lookin at my time slips and said "i think this setup now is good for a 11.1" What a guess mate well done. (waits for the its no guess rant lol)
  15. see where the midrange at about 4000rpm AFR drops down in the 11's? thats what is killing your torque. where are you located? might be able to suggest a tuner that can fix it
  16. the first task for you mate will be to re-set your power fc. and re-tune it completly from scratch without blowing it up. If you succeed then do mods to your car and re-tune to suit. I only suggest playing with your own car before you start tuning other cars
  17. 50% of the time or more when a engine goes pop the the cause of the blow up is something that happened to engine months or even years ago. be carefull. i would do some checks etc
  18. Hey Mate Welcome to SAU, don't worry about becoming a post whore in my thread, it was a good read and good to hear from you! i will be checking out those url's now Datto's rear setup's are shocking the way they squat because then they only get 5cm's of rubber gripping on the road the rest is up in the air!, you might want to ask them to get really hard shocks and hard spring rates to fix this up otherwise you will never get traction on the street or dyno. I have 740cc injectors and i ran out of injectors at about 350rwkw !! I need to upgrade the injectors before i push more power out of E85 OR i might drop back down to my spare smaller turbo GT3040 and run e85 to bring the power back up a bit so i got power and response. I have also tuned a few Nistunes - Great product! Keep up the good work and please come back with more updates!
  19. Yes but does it get tuned properly? who do you sent it to ?
  20. Not exactly. The Power FC is so limited in what you can do. If you just have a 250rwkw - 300rwkw street car then a power fc is fine. Once you start stepping it up and push your car further then you will need to upgrade. I tune lots of power fc's, have been for years. I was the biggest power fc supporter but i started to realise all these extra gadgets and extra options i had sitting in my car hanging off the ecu was not the best option. After getting the Vi-Pec I have never looked back. Can you PM me your phone number Bakes? are you available tomorrow afternoon after 5? I need you to drive the car while i put a base map in it and get it ready for the Dyno because Paul will be racing at WSID.
  21. have a look at this thread, http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ro...d+tune+power+fc that was when i first started, i just wanted to learn how to tune my own car to save on tuning costs and it just exploded to levels that i never even thought about reaching.
  22. I heard that RB30's don't break oil pumps like 26's do because the crank's are heavier
