Who Has Jjr Direct Ignition Coilpacks?
Guilt-Toy replied to dori34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
One of my best mates has a R32 gtst, he has Nistune and when I was tuning it his coil packs were breaking down heaps, tried to get the tune as best as i could then he purchased some new JJR coil packs and coil pack lead and installed it and the car runs like a dream, no break downs or anything. He was getting 200rwkw on mild boost from a RB20 with Nistune -
Guilt-toy Installs Vipec V44 Plug In.. & Base Tuned
Guilt-Toy replied to Guilt-Toy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I worked out how to setup Group N Anti-Lag and Cycle idle at Summernats, gave it a good work out, here is a video of my car spooling up 20psi of boost with the clutch in then dropping it (just a little burnout i was not keen to get kicked out) Watch old mate to the left, he copped the extream anti-lag pressure from the side pipe and was jumping outta the way *More Vids of Anti-Lag* -

You sure you don't want a Vipec?? you can make your car sound like this Video of me cruisin at the Summernats with Dead32 in the car (i do his tuning too lol) Note the guy on the left, you see him jumping outta the way of the extreame anti lag forces of the RB30DET & Vipec More videos in my Vipec Thread - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Gu...80#entry4379928 -
i think its more of a reality then a posibility, just look at the compression ratio alcohol / methanol cars run.. over 11:1

i see a really dirty engine bay and someone who cannot spell "Beer" -
my car keeps converting cats to Cadbury Flake's... Crumbles to pieces I hope this one lasts longer then the old one, i cannot keep replacing them like this!! The last one was non existant inside, the one before that was in a million pieces and was blocked. I only use them to keep defects away, when i race the car i run de-cat pipes. if your cat is destroyed and exits out the exaust pipe do you still cop the fine?

i have one for $300 in newcastle

Do You Gain Performance With Bosch Fuel Filter
Guilt-Toy replied to A-B_DR/fT-KinG!!'s topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i installed a bosch filter, it cost a bit extra but it gained a extra 18hp on the dyno at the rear wheels. best upgrade ever. -

yeah but he is in sydney and you are in newcastle, his car will be off the road while your doing the chip for him etc etc.. I would rather have nothing to do with it... If he organises it with you directly then that could work -
WOW mate.. great score! congrats!! I think a couple of SAU cars deserve to be in your first magazine

I feel a whole better about the situation after everyone voiced their opinions and i probly won't stop all together - will just be choosy on what i take on and charge a bit more for it. If you decide to go for a Vipec then let me know, I will definatly be interested in doing that for you, just not too keen on organising Nistune boards and getting the ecu modded to take the board etc etc... If you do all the setup work and get it running in your car PROPERLY so you can drive it to the dyno to get it tuned then I will tune it for you. And as for Mr UE... Your in damn good hands there, I would have to say he is probly one of the best tuners Sydney have to offer, and more importanly he is honest. -
I disagree. why.. I don't know.

because you have GTR knock sensors and he has GTST knock sensors, you can scream "KNOCK" in the engine bay and it will read 150 knock with 25 knock sensors -
Fitted Another Turbo..but Still Got Problem!

what he said happend to me, my belt was on too tight. loosened it off and the noise stopped -
guys make sure your ecu is bolted in correctly into the wire harness. alot of the time people get shy when doing up that 10ml bolt and it does not go in properly. Remove the ecu, and put it back in, do up the bolt 2 turns then PUSH the plug in on both sides then repeat untill the 10ml bolt is firm and the plug is connected all the way. Just seen this cause dramas like this plenty of times and figured it wont hurt to check

thanks for the support, I have been part of the SAU community since 2002 and I started out as clueless as most others and I have gotten sooo much out of the community that half the reason why I don't charge so much is because I feel that i owe something back... I have learnt sooo much and pretty much learnt how to tune on my own with help of friends and some help from these very forums. I have clocked up hundreds of hours worth of dyno time or more so far and that does not include any of the street tuning etc I have done so I do have a fair bit of experience, I can pretty much do a whole PFC tune remap with bigger injectors in less then 2 hours these days and I keep suprising myself the more I do it. I will have a think about it a bit more, maybe i just need a bit of a break from it all and should't take things soo personally which is hard because I do take pride in my work and like to think I am good at it. -
i think you will still have the about the same lag that you would have with pulp 98... the smaller turbo would be the way to go IMHO. there is only so much timing can do for lag

yeah for me it was just a hobby and what i do for fun in my spare time to help people out, hence the cheap rates, but when the dickheads started to flow in it put a bad taste in my mouth and i would rather not deal with it anymore. Dori34 if you buy a Vipec and need that sorted out then let me know otherwise sorry to say I aint really too keen to do it anymore. I knew this was going to happen sooner or later, ive seen my mates go through the same thing and they gave me plenty of warning so thats why I aint loosing any sleep over it. Have a look at this thread, http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ro...d+tune+power+fc I first started tuning 5 years ago and I managed to achieve what I wanted to do and that is to be able to do all my own tuning and performance work to save money on expensive tuner rates... So yeah from now on its all about me I will chat to you about it on msn. -

Guilt-Toy replied to dori34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
after a few issues with people I would rather not deal with I have decided that there will be no more tuning or help available in my spare time. I have had enough, close friends or previously tuned cars only from now on I am affraid. Hate to let the f**kwits spoil it, but i have realised that there is no point tuning cars for peanuts anymore. sorry -
Fitted Another Turbo..but Still Got Problem!
Guilt-Toy replied to bumble_bee's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
a hole in your intercooler hose will give a "howling" sound. so check your pipes for leaks and holes -
i would think that you could down size your turbo and still make the same power you did before converting over to e85 so you can get more response.
