I am unsure about this one mate.. my tune laptop only has one usb port lol.. so yeah.. dont let your car knock over 60 and all will be fine. Good luck with the missing issue, what valve springs are you using and what head ??? -

Hehehee yeah those tips were on my car when i got it. Yeah not a bad pic, I re-sized them to fit in the thread better we will see, i can run it kinda lean but it starts to miss a little when it goes too lean. I need to play on the dyno and will do 2 tunes, megga lean and normal.... At the end of the day the MAIN reason why i am doing this is because i want to emissions test my car on this stuff, also just to get more exposure out there and learn more about tuning with different fuels etc etc... I enjoy playing with cars and tuning them for whatever reason so this is also fun !

went back to the servo, done 70km's on e85 and after having to convince a different Indian man I managed to squeeze 20 litres into the tank !!! 20 litres for 70km's....... ...... filled up a 20 litre drum as well for the dyno on saturday! anyway got pics.... i hope the freeway economy on the trip to Newcastle tomorrow gets better!

hey mate driving normally, and giving it stabs as well, got up to 83% injector duty. I am not giving it easy time.. i am driving it harder then i normally would be driving so that might explain the extra consumption. the ignition timing is set to about 35 - 50 deg on cruise which is pretty high... anymore then 53 and its passing MBT remember my engine is low low compression. about 8.0 or 8.2:1 If you want to tune your car up let me know and you can come pick me up from my place and we can go to the servo and fill up and tune her up! the more the better! Another thing i was wondering, would e85 go off as quick as normal fuel ? i wonder how long this fuel has been sitting in there ? the guy at the servo had no idea.

ohhh another thing that i did not like about the unit is that when you have your laptop plugged in and charging with a 12v to 240v inverter the unit gets lots of feedback and shows 20 - 30 knock at all times... is there anyway around this ? -

okay.. had to make some adaptors for the knock sensors as they are not a direct fit to the stock RB knock sensor position. Made up 2 x brass plugs with the same thread as the stock knock sensors and then drilled them and tapped them then screwed them to the block and then screwed new knock sensors to them. Had to take the starter motor off to get to the rear knock sensor. bit of a pain but what the heck. On the dyno, i just dropped the screamer back on, got rid of the cat (for hill climb) first run on 20psi, 480rwhp on 20 PSI!!! i was listening to the run and not a sign of detonation, the knock sensors on the Gizzmo software did not read anymore then 40.... Impressed, the AFR was 13.3 on full boost! 12deg timing as well with 20psi - most power it ever made on 20psi. So my whole excersize for the day was to get the least power i could for the hill climb, richened it up to 11.5's afr and took 1deg of timing out, did not want to heat the engine as 11 is pretty retarded. Here is a screen shot from one of my runs, URAS is this okay ?? thats the typical run from my engine on 20psi with 450hp at rear wheels. and for Unique1, here is a screenshot of my settings that i promised you! (i got 2 knock sensors, they come with one knock sensor standard) This Gizzmo kmon ROCKS. my power fc knock sensors were reading spikes to 80 90 on full load, for NO reason, no mattter how much timing i would take out it was not changing, so i had to invest in one of these babys. Retail price is around $1200.. if you see Trent he can do you one at a better price if you ask in a nice manner I know its a big cost to outlay, but i am going to continue tuning my own car even though its got over 500hp now and i dont feel like building another engine. Definatly worth the money!!! Thanks again Trent! i got the item the next day after ordering, which is weird whenever i want something soo bad so quickly it normaly takes ages but this little baby came straight away! Yeah i give this product a 9 out of 10, the only reason why it dont get 10 is cos you need to power it with USB only, and the price is pretty high (im a tight arse) -

come on guys.. grow some balls! At the end of the day its what we do.. take the PISS.... These guys live and work in workshops all the time and if you have spent a bit of time in one or a few you will realise that the best way to keep your sanity is to take the piss out of anyone who moves farts looks or walks in the wrong direction. Trent would be pissin himself laughin at all this, paul is just taking the piss cos he has nothing better to do and LOVES to sturr the pot and is probably bored shitless, and the rest of you guys ??? Have no idea. I swear if some of the guys that i work with here stepped one foot into a workshop, they would probly leave go home and kneck themself's. try not to take this shit too personaly. we are all in the same game! some just like to enjoy it differently to others. -
UPDATE!!! 50km's done on e85 so far, and i have used a QUARTER of a tank of juice!! that is excessivly high!!! Yesterday i did some road cruise tuning, and got it to run perfectly now.. i have got it going better on e85 then how it used to cruise on 98 (mainly because i have been lazy as fark) This morning on cold start, it took 10 cranks before it kicked over, i just held the key on start untill she fired, took about 4 seconds of cranking so its not really a issue.... So yeah i guess i need to try and tune it lean lean lean to get some economy back.. for now i will name the economy.. BAD

NO modifications done to the fuel system at all. if anything my 044 has shutup now, probly got the quiets from being drunk Disco, if you want to convert your car over let me know.. i can come help you out with it and we can use my datalogit.... i am available in Sydney during the week only. let me know if your interested

ohhhh sticky, thanks I thought my thread got deleted for a second there I live in sydney during the week (Ryde) , pm me and i can give you my phone number Np's mate, just follow the smell of cooking oil - lol Yeah might be keen to do a cruise to the coast on e85... or maybe the week after this one. Also i forgot to mention! Cold Start!! I was expecting to have to play with cold start settings, instead the car only needed one more revolution when kicking over, so it started on the 4th turn instead of the third. Very impressed! more so that i am still running on my guess tune and its running so good. I cannot tell ANY difference between e85 and BP98 at all!

i spoke to Peter at techedge, (very helpfull if you can understand half of the technical info he gives you) and he said that his sensors read LAMDA and then does the conversion to AFR based on the gasoline conversion! The tech edge exchange conversion from lamda to afr is configurable, but i dont need to change it i will continue to tune on lamda So no matter what fuel i use in my car it will always read 14.7 when the car is at 1.0 lamda. Which answered a few questions that i had previously.

do you have any dyno print outs ? with AFR / LAMDA ? what kinda mixtures were you running ? i just did a power run on the street and it spins the wheels hardcore, it went to 0.77 lamda which is very rich... what do you run it at ?

Mate i am going to flog that avtar of yours and make a few stickers from it! hahahahaaa!! i love it! I had to go for another drive, to test some WOT, i noticed the smell of my car was different! before i used to get a stale fuel smell ever since put a external fuel pump in the boot. Now the smell is much different! I got 740cc's as well, what power levels did you run out at ? some more info ?
