the reason i askin, is that my 515hp at wheels, pushed 1083nm... but thats from a 3 litre... i find it hard that 500cc could make that much difference? i also noticed the power band... wow that car would be something... well.. challenging

lol it was a joke mate. they are exactly the same. the PFC does not know the difference between the s1 and s2 because the s2 still has individual ignitors on the coilpacks internally. your ecu will work on all R33s

they are different, the S2 ones are very hard to get. but your in luck! i have one for sale for $2000.

ive seen first hand from a tuners point of view what happens when you put caltex 98 in your car. but i am talking engines with over 300kw at the wheels. Your normal stock bangers can go on any fuel 95 or 98... when your squeezing 380rwkw you notice things with different fuels. I would not touch shell or caltex or anything else except for BP Ultimate or Mobil Synergy 8000 the rest is just crap. and yes i have tried it in sydney as well. its garbage

Okay so your saying aussie dyno's read low compared to the ones used in the US ? that would explain a few things. and yes that car needs some serious attention. if you drive it hard like that it will blow in a matter of time. Take the advice given by these guys, computer, injectors and fuel pump is a MUST for this car or you will destroy the engine, have to buy a replacement and then still be where you started from.

If we renamed this topic to "R35GTR VS Hyundai S-Coupe", people might then realise how big the difference is between the 2 ecu's mentioned

remember ppl US power is about 20 to 40 % more then Aussie power. We work on true HP figures not the fairy HP that gets quoted on the other side of the globe. that AFR is too lean. i would not let any car off the dyno with a AFR like that unless the owner knows it needs to be fixed. IMHO

HKS computers are great. if there is a tuner near you who can tune it then keep it.

Just wondering what everyone likes about their RB30DET's.. ive been runnin round in twin cam rb30 brotherhood for around 4 to 5 years now... I love the gut busting pull (over 1 tonne of torque well 1083nm) , the feeling of being ripped from one side of the road to the other with ease, and how tough they sound as well. I especially like that i can drive it around off boost and be very very driveable with low compression ratio !! so fess up

i have used the co-pilot before, rb25 support does not work properly. Now there is one problem with what your trying to do. The beige box you are trying to make is the the Apexi FC PRO's box (a copy) that runs the Apexi power FC pro software that is used in workshop's approved by Apexi only. The software is good and in half japanese and very usable once you get it setup right. You on the other hand want to use software that was made to use the Datalogit box which will NOT work with the box you are making. If you want to make the beige box's then PM me when you have made 2 working units and i will buy them off you good luck with it
